Yep. There has been an extreme amount of improvements in simulators since 2006 when FSX was released and never updated. Thank goodness Asobo does NOT share Microshaft's position of dropping a flight sim on the market and never updating it. Asobo is doing a wonderful job.
Awesome adition, it´s promising! I know this is only a test, but one thing i hate from civil sims are how the effects looks xD Modders spend all time programing the code and doing his magic to make it possible, but at final, they don´t have more time for the artistic part hehe and the effects always looks very plain and ugly. I would like to say some tips i learned making effects for the IL-2 community if you acept it. I don´t understand why to give rotation for all textures. Always i see an airliner landing in previous sims and starting to see the same in MSFS2020, is the white smoke texture from landing gear, has a superrotation making it very unrealistic. Deleting the rotation, and giving and asimetric shape to the texture, the result improves a lot. Also we can make 3D effects very fps friendly with rotation=0. We only needed to paint a little darker the bottom of the texture, and play with transparition over the edges. So when one texture, overlaps one and other and other, causes a very cool volumetric optical effect that doesn't causes fps drops. The future and present in video game effects are tridimentional animated textures and poligons with very complicated particle sistems, but that is another history and much more timeeater xD But with 2D textures we also obtain some very cool effects but much more easily to do. I know the effects I made for IL-2 are very cinematics and unrealistics for a civil sims, but maybe you can know what I´m talking about watching my smoke effects videos, and of course, if you want I can help with the artistic part xD Imagine the Glovemaster taking of from a dirt runway with those effects :O Thanks for all your mods!! The sim is bigger and bigger thanks to people like you :)
Thanks, great suggestions! Indeed even 2D system has a lot of tricks an cheats to make effect look better. Problem that current FX system still on beta stage and many important features not available yet, or does not work right. On top of that with each update new bugs introduced, which can be described as "one step forward two steps back", so I decided to stop effects experiments until FX editor will mature. Spent two days already to fix my effects since SU6 and that's pretty frustrating.
I'm the one that started all these fires in protest after one of the mandatory SU updates last year. My original plan was to cause the entire sim-world to burn, but I never anticipated this tanker add-on appearing. No matter. I have my eye on all blowing up all the dams in Flight Simulator next. Your meager tanker will have to fight water WITH water. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Love your work man! I was wondering if you could do a video on how to install your special effects? I’m not the best at reading instructions and got very confused trying to apply your effects you have shared. Thanks in advance!!
hi! this is not a mod of Goose, but effect demonstration. you need to inject effect manually by following github description, or ask developer to implement it into the aircraft.
This is beautiful touching cloud!
LOOKS WAYS BETTER than on FSX!!!! FireFighterX for MSFS is THE REAL Deal !!!!!!!!

Ok that suprised me.
Maybe there will be a missions in MFS like this.
Neofly has a whole Wildfire Rescue mission-type where you have to "fill tanks and put out fires"
do you have any tutorial on how to create a static chimney smoke like that?

yeah, that is good idea. will try soon.
Can I use this for crop dusting too? :D
in the sim - sure! but don’t try this at home :)
Hello, I already have the airplane, but I can't release the water, could you say with which button it is done? Very good mods! All the best
