As it turns out the patch fixed being able to get both Millicent talismans in one playthrough, so that's a big sad!

Try the build with the godskin peelers, they get a 133 at 25 a 130 at 24 plus already get the Archane plus bleed goes off Archane as well

They also hit 4 times per jump power stance attack iirc.
@@kentskeie2381 that talisman is pretty bad, the increase is like 5% if you go above 10 load, which is just the weapons + talismans weight
To kill moving invisible scarabs just mount up, run the opposite direction and hold heavy attack. The character will drag the weapon which damages anything it hits during the dragging. It takes one hit to kill the scarab.

@@karafuru7666 its even easier with horafrost stomp. Just aim in the general direction and it will stop when it come into contact with the ice, and the explosion will finish it off
'Fires's Deadly Sin' and the weapon art 'Spinning Weapon' also work very good. And you can use both in areas where Torrent isn't summonable. You just stand in the route of the scarab, and use Fire's Deadly Sin. Or if you're using Spinning Weapon, just wait until it's approaching you and press L2/LT
It even more easier with meteo katana gravitas since it have large range.

The fit makes or breaks builds, they're like the second most important part of every build
Now this is a great video. Everything you need to know said in a way thats easy to understand, on my second playthrough and I'm going bleed/vampire hybrid. Saved this video due to the number of excellent explanations.
You dont actually have to go all the way around Mt. Gelmir to get the curved sword. If you start from the Bride of Inequity grace point and head west, there is a ladder on the Clift to the left that gets you up there. At the second abductor I believe
Yea that's what I used. The ladder is only there during day time
You can use the bandits curved swords for a greater effect with it being a farmable drop from the church at the northern tip of south Limgrave. Just kill the skeleton with the weapon then reload until you get it. and with that much arcane it wont take long.
The Great Epee gets 150 something bleed buildup at +25 and can use Seppuku, on playthrough 1 you can combo it with Godskin stitcher and use the L1 dual attack, too.
Worth mentioning that i had killed malekith before bernahl invaded and i had lost the invasion until the 1.03 patch hit. I had a feeling about it, went back to the spot and got invaded by him so maybe theres a chance for those who defeated mohg to still get the invations in this new update.
I think it's more whether you kill varre in the area or not rather than the boss being dead
@@RadiantNova159 well you seem to have no idea what im talking about 😒. If you kill mohg before finding and killing varre in the mohgwyn palace map varre will no longer invade you and youll be forced to to it next playthrough.
I used the teleporter after starting varres quest to get his armor set mainly and unfortunately found out that since I killed mohg first, I was no being invaded the 3 times like I was hoping for.. I did however find an invasion sign in the doorway near palace to invade varre, took him out and got his bouquet. What I wanted was to be invaded myself by varre to get his armor, 1st thing I'll be doing on ng+ unless the update somehow will allow me to be invaded now. I'll have to check again.

i killed mohg first and there was a red summon sign in the cave before the midpoint to invade varre

For getting to her, I found it easier to head east from near the Smouldering Church. There is a spot where the rocks cross the chasm below, leading to where the dragons are. With Torrent you can just run past and around to her.
Hollow has that Elden Bling going on with his character. Meanwhile, Josh is using a headgear for stats and Cotton looking as goofy as expected with his 1000 poise

For Str/Arcane the Great stars warhammer is great for this, best 1 hander for str in the game AND has built in bleed on it plus, being a warhammer, you can put Prelates fire Charge on it, which will ALSO proc the bleed. Sure it won't be as quick as the Uchis but if you want a bleed weapon and a great shield, it's the one for you.
I would recommend keeping Arcane at 45 (first soft cap in regards to bleed build up) and if you want to max it out w.o having really poor diminishing returns to 55 or 60. After 60, the bleed build up is poor, however, the last soft cap for blood attack bonus is at 80 (not to be confused with bleed build up, which soft caps are 45, then 60). The soft caps for blood attack bonus are 55 then 80. Regarding going from 55 or 60-80 in arcane with blood attack bonus, it's nothing that amazing, but okay if you have the extra points. Anything past 60 for bleed build up is pretty much negative.
Since the uchigatana is the main weapon here, it would be better to leave Arcane at 55-60 and pump more points into dex for more damage from the uchigatana in general as I believe it has a higher rating for dex with maxed at +25 for bleed. Of course at some point this is trivial the higher level you are and you can feel free to go to 80, but those that want to be around lvl 125-150, I wouldn't recommend going higher than 55-60 in arcane (45 if you're planning on being around lvl 125).
This is just looking at best bang for buck regarding the soft cap data that is available. Still very new to souls so correct me if I'm wrong.

I think at the moment there are really good options for arcane, including Rivers of Blood, Eleanor's Polyblade and Mogh's Spear which is low key pretty busted. Def going to do a bleed build next, but still having fun with my cosplay of Ranni and playing mage. Ranni simp for life LUL

@@ungabungawoowoo9980 I would recommend leaving your arcane at around 50/60, 50/60 health, 20/25 endurance and pump the rest into dex for higher damage on your katana. Also, if you want to run a weapon art dependent weapons you should consider raising your mind to at least 20 so you can spam those more frequently.
@@ungabungawoowoo9980 First numbers are starting stats for confessor so for rivers at lvl 175 here are my recommendations (if we're talking about soft caps). Someone can correct me if better allocations are available.
Option 1: (Dex over Arcane)
Vigor: 10 - 40
Mind: 13 -
End: 10 - 30
Str: 12 -
Dex: 12 - 80
Int: 9 -
Faith: 14
Arc: 9 - 60
This leaves us with 6 points we can allocate elsewhere. Maybe extra vigor, more str etc. I love damage but if you need for survivability, the second soft cap for vigor is 60.
Option 2: (Arcane over Dex)
Vigor: 10 - 40
Mind: 13 -
End: 10 - 30
Str: 12 -
Dex: 12 - 55
Int: 9 -
Faith: 14
Arc: 9 - 80
This leaves us with 11 points we can allocate elsewhere.
I'm going to say *Option 1* is better as rivers scales really well with dex over arcane when maxed out at +10. And 60 arcane should be more than enough to get the most out of bleed and I'm sure the additional dex will be poggers for damage. Again, someone who is more of a veteran souls player can correct me here. @Yakhagp makes a good point about mind as well if you want to spam Weapon Arts more.
And if you do need more vigor or what not, maybe look into 45 arcane vs. 60 or drop dex from 80 to like 60-70. You can play around with the numbers and see what you like.
NOTE: you can always manually backup your save files and mess around with respeccing until you find something that works for you. I did this a lot lol.

Hey big tip I use the same build but instead of blood uchi I use occult which scales Arc to B and Dex to C does insane damage and bleed
have you tried occult scaling? that's what i use for my bleed build and it gives nice damage for things more resistant to bleed too (end game bosses for example)

the fact that arcane also works with dragon incantations makes the build more wild xD
With such high Arcane, occult is also a very viable option especially for weapons with innate bleed, since it will scale it's base damage very high and still affect bleed with around 70% efficiency.
Bleed infusion is actually stronger on weapons without innate bleed.
Does occult make bleed damage higher or just base damage?
@@bootychief3484 You sacrifice some bleed build up for higher psychical damage. With seppuku it isn’t noticeable you’ll still proc bleed in 2-3 hits on most enemies while having a fail safe if your enemy is bleed resistant/bleed immune.

For the scav's curve sword: you do not need to start at terminus grace and run all the way around. If you have the First Mt. Gelmir Campsite grace site, you can run through that camp, and over the rock bridge thing to where points on the map. Saves a ton of time and way more simple!
you can add incantation(much convenient) buffs for additional damage, also there is a crystal tear that adds damage for successive attacks. I use blood antspur rapier instead for scarlet rot and use kindred rot talisman.
I just finished Millicent's questline and got the Rotten Winged Sword Talisman; however, after she got past the "Oh hello" dialogue I killed her and only got the golden needle, not the prosthetic talisman. Not sure if anyone else is getting this result after the most recent patch
I approve of this outfit, it's basically the exact same I've used ever since I farmed the dude guarding the godkin apostle in the caelid divine tower. I just switch out the gauntlets and boots for whatever gives the most protection, and occasionally slap on the white mask too. Usually I just wear the hood as it has decent stats but leaves the face visible. I didn't spend an hour fine-tuning my girl's looks just to have her face covered with an ugly-ass helmet, dammit!
Hide helmet exists. It's either in the menu or the customization mirror. You're welcome.

Actually if you have already killed mohgwyn you can still fight white face. A red summoning icon will appear at the beginning of the dark cave you have to run through to get to mohg. You can click it and invade his world to defeat him. He is a bit tougher this route imo but you only have to fight him once

When you’re sharing your stats can you share them from your level up screen? For me I think it’s best if I know you’re base stats. Makes it easier when I’m rebirthing

powerstancing straight swords and spears has attack animations (edit: specifically L1 spam) that are very similar in hits per second as the curved swords- they also do status builds very well
Nah not even close. You get double hits from curved swords, example the jump L1 does 4x hits

@@breakthecode4047 powerstancing twinblades also hits 4x on jump L1, with higher base damage & bleed buildup per hit than curved swords. curved swords still probably overall better because the rest of the moveset of dual twinblades is kinda trash

You only need to light the first torch by going over roots and rooftops to the left to open gate for millicent questline

I prefer curved swords and straight swords over katanas. They have the same bleed buildup at +25 with a seppuku bleed affinity, but curved and straight swords attack with both weapons at the same exact time resulting in faster bleeding from my experience, unlike katanas where you attack with one blade and then the other.
When you infuse a bleed weapon into bleed, you have indeed the same bleed build up that a weapon that hasnt bleed before infusing BUT the bleed proc on weapon that has already bleed on it, will do more damage, like in DS3

thats not true at all lol. jumping L2 and crouch L2 use both katanas at the exact same time, its only a running L2 that goes right first then left after
@@mikec4308 Its not just the sprinting L2, normal L2 is right first and left after with katanas. Normal L2 with straight and Curved uses both swords at the same exact time. I don't see what point you're trying to make lol. Spamming jump and crouch attacks are much less efficient for bleed buildup than L2 spamming with katanas due to the recovery time (obviously), which is what my comment was about, bleed buildup. Now jumping with curved swords actually hits 4 times, not just 2 times, so thats a pretty viable option. But not for katanas imo.
Great video. I'm running a similar build, with a +25 Blood Nagakiba & RoB. Absolutely wrecks enemies. Came to this video for the fashion since it's hard to find armor that looks good with the White Mask.

I’ve been running this since my first defeat of malania, funny thing is you could be at 115 before the arcane buff. I think they just fixed the scaling on rivers of blood and Eleanoras pole blade. They added the additional attack power
just tried something like this with 2 godskin peelers - absolutely crazy damage and looks cool

i feel like the gargoyles twinblade might be better for the successive attacks and it only needs one buff. it can be used with sepuku too. fun side note, i noticed you can power stance a samurai sward with a wakazashi knife.

I carry 2 hoslows with frost and 2 nagakibas with bleed. Start with the whips and move onto the katanas after the frost procs for the extra damage.
A video on bloodflame blade vs seppuku would be nice, also a strength based bleed build would be super cool
I was thinking this as well. go minimum stats for claws and pump faith arcane. Even if its good i just have no interest in buffing two weapons so claws are a good choice. Probably pretty versatile and only a bit less bleed then what hes doing but you get some good incantations too.
Hope they fix bloodflame blade so that the bleed scales with arcane, currently increasing arcane does not do anything for the bleed proc rate

the bloodflame duration has a low duration thou. i think the seppuku lasts much longer. personally, i don't care about the pvp meta level, so I'll go a bit higher, pump some faith and before using seppuku, i'm going to use a hp-regen incantation🤔
I really like the Godskin Peeler because you can proc bleed multiple times with just 1 attack because many of the attacks hit multiple times.

The cool thing about white mask is that it gives you the extra damage on any bleed proc including the one you inflict on yourself with seppuku

Have been running a similar build sense before the patch but I'm using duel falchions ( demi human drop them ) it was pretty good before the patch but now it melts health bars.

@Mav Vynne sometimes both if I get too big for my britches lol. Enemy's most mobs only need 1 L1 attack, elites take 3-4 and bosses usually are a bit tougher but between the mimic tear +10 and myslef they don't last long.
A quicker way to get to the scavenger curves sword location is as soon as you cross the bridge from Altus towards Mt gelmir, stay to the left along the cliffside between the wheeled enemies and the shack and during daytime there will be a rope ladder to climb up above to the next checkpoint where the sword is located
Man I was using this build and changed it the day before the buff. But I was doing one with bleed and other sword with frostbite and I really liked it
Rivers of blood might have less bleed overall but that WA is so strong to melt things quickly it's worth the trade

For me, after the recent patch, I finished the Millicent quest. Helped her, killed her without exhausting her dialogue and she only gives the needle that you give her at the beginning.

you take the needle from her and after you beat Malenia you rest and go back to her boss room and you touch the petals in the middle with the needle and it changes it to the needle needed to get rid of the frenzied flame

Blood Lordsworn's Straight Swords are also a great pick for pvp. Their powerstanced weak attack is an extremely fast cross slash that procs bleed vs any and every build in 1 hit (80ARC).
The fact you guys give a tutorial on how to do EVERYTHING is amazing, by far the most help and best elden ring youtubers I've seen, not to mention you all have great personalitys
Whenever bleed is not strong, you can have one weapon with poison and scarlet rot to compensate, which scales also with arcane (the weapon dmg and the poison, the rot doesn't scale)

The only thing I dislike with these kind of builds is dual seppuku. It's not so viable to run end game since if it drops mid fight, good luck applying both. I find running seppuku on the left hand and bloodhounds on the right or some form of quick step ends up being really good
thats why you left hand seppuku with Ochi and RoB in right hand for Art of War. jumping L2 will one shot bleed and sometimes kill. and then you still have the RoB weapon art aswell

The higher bleed on weapons like they uchi are nice, but i still keep rivers of blood as a switch in. The weapon art on it is really good for catching people coming out of a roll.

Run two blood godskin peelers +25, my arcane is only 66 dex 77, and my blood loss build up for each weapon is 139. Can’t imagine when you get those soft caps. Plus when you do jump attack you are hitting the enemy 4 times
I think dual uchi or curved swords with seppuku take max dmg but dual rivers of blood is absolutely insane. Not only do you get fast bleed proc but you can generally hit multiple enemies at once with the art. And tbh, I enjoy the attacks + art of rivers of blood MUCH more than applying seppuku on dual uchis every minute… That and as well as trying to focus on 1-2 enemies alone with uchis. Just not as fun imo.

U need Eleonoras polarm, you want Eleonoras. Do it, do it, do it. I like it's art better then rivers, as you lunge forward, do really sweet looking combo and lunge back

@@blobfather5184 it's higher the rivers, not ad high as you can get log and reg katana to, but art makes up for it and if you strong stance it's also 6 hit combo. I prefer it over rivers

One thing that was crazy in Dark Souls 3 and I want to see if the same applies here in Elden Ring. Take a weapon with Inherent Poison, apply a bleed ash of war to it, and see how well both scale.
Bleed/Frost Katana's are already a thing
I have a weapon that does this. It’s meh.
Poison almost a waste of time compared to other status effects.
Poison is bad in late game ER, so frost and rot are the stacks to double dip on.
There's a rot rapier you can run seppuku & poison or cold (i think) on to get 3 statuses at once, fun one to look into
get St trina weapon, the only weapon that sleep enemies, works on some bosses
7:20 You can also use (spawn) your Mimic Tear since it has toxic dust at the beginning it will kill the scarab as well.

Arcane wasn't buffed, it was fixed. This is the intended effect. Weapons did not gain any scaling from it before.

Its hard to say if "this" specifically is intended. I think it will almost certainly get nerfed, probably by putting a maximum on how much bleed you can stack per hit or heavily reducing bleed proc damage.

@@blobfather5184 they both have seppuku but you can also use blood hounds step and get the same bleed. I upgraded my arcane and now they are both 140

Been running this setup for a few weeks, kept river's of blood as my main hand and specced min stats at that time rest into vigor, mind, endurance, probably undefeated if invaded with some 300+ kills. Socrseal + godrick rune, is 60 levels worth of stats, unlocks my bandit to cast flames grant me strength with only 2 pts into faith, that with a fire + consecutive attacks flask... I one shot most with a single r1, I've triple killed with the the l2, my robustness bar is at 211 in pvp... I rarely get bled or frozen, I never lose trades and this is all done at level 125
is the bleed affinity really worth losing all the damage you're missing from occult/arcane scaling? you're proccing bleed in 1 or 2 hits either way with seppuku.
If it is a guaranteed bleed proc, then yes it is worth giving up damage for it. Maybe less so in the first playthrough, but as you scale through NG+ and bleed scales with enemy HP, its really a net gain.

He asked if it’s even worth to invest that many points in arcane as it doesn’t matter since Seppuku will proc it in 1-3 hits anyway, with or without 80 Arcane.
The answer is: No, it’s not worth it to level Arcane to 80 as it scales extremely poorly after 60 and Seppuku buffs more than enough to keep bleed procs just as consistent as without those 20 extra points in arcane, it’s much better to spec those 20 points elsewhere to either have more survivability, overall damage or just going a bit more quality to get access to other weapons for a better variety against bosses where bleed is very ineffective.
Hey, I'm doing this build since day 1 with now the arcane fix the build is even better. But I would recommend a double Nagakiba for better reach it has lower base dmg but the blood proc what matters. You can get it from Yura's questline or killing him,the second one with aid from a friend or ng+. And for "off"weapons when the enemy is bleed immune I use the Blade of Malenia and Rivers of blood since both of them have big base dmg and nice scaling. With a dex/arcane build I can only recommend this 3 weapons if you are looking for pure Katana weapons.
I always run the WAKIZASHI in my off hand and the NAGAKIBA in my main one with occult and one with bleed affinity usually on my off hand. Then I’ll use Seppuku on both. Or I’ll do the same with the curved swords if I want a good pve build with jump attacks mixed in. Using the rotten winged sword insignia and the black raptor feathers. White mask is a must for both builds
Please do a video comparison on the Mausoleum Soldier Ashes versus the Greatshield Soldier Ashes. I want to know which one to max out. They are by far the best ashes for sorcerers and ranged players in general.

I like the bandits curved swords better because it’s same blood build up but the left bumper(sprint, jump, and on ground) attack can build up blood loss really quickly
There's separate merchants that sell each beginning set ,if you find the samurai one I believe he sells the katana .so you should be able to get 2 in one playthrough
the godskin peeler gets over 130 bleed leveled. its running heavy hits like 4 times and usually does in the range of 1700+ damage

If an enemy is immune to bleed you can switch the ash of war to occult so it has better scaling and switch it back later

@@JohnSmith-bs9ym Final Boss, and it seems like the Deathrite Birds are immune, or maybe highlyyy resistant. Crystallians as well, and I'm sure many more... like any Skele enemy
@@xSenwar man, that's bullshit. I tried bleed build in dark souls 3 and ran into the same problem. So many enemies were immune that eventually I had to give it up. Now the final boss is immune too lmao.
@@JohnSmith-bs9ym Yupp lol, I feel that. I've not done an entire build around bleed in DS3, but I've used plenty weapons that applied it. Bleed was best for Demon Bosses in DS3, as they are weak to bleed damage. But when you do get to the Final Boss, just switch to Occult like this guy said and you should put out better damage, depending on your build I guess... but Elden Ring seems to have the most enemies and bosses that can be affected by bleed and poison from any Souls Game from what I noticed. Didn't really play around with bleed 'tooo' much in the older games though, to be fair. But Bleed builds are very viable in ER, especially after this latest patch.
Occult has better bleed scaling anyway so just do occult period.
Imo bleed isn’t that op in the main game since when I have to fight bosses or enemies that dont bleed, it falls short. I guess that is the exchange for being able to easily defeat the ones that do bleed. As for pvp it can hit like a truck however at the same time you have sorceries that let your opponent not even come close to you and decimate others from far away and then you those people who are using the combo incantation bug to instacast one shot incantations. Point being either nerf the big strong outliers or buff stuff like strength weapons so they are also viable in pvp like the others.

As they should? It's completely busted right now. I'm a straight up strength tank build and I have people running up to me with 1 katana and they're completely out trading me. Like it's not even close.

@@panakinskywalker9075 That's because strength is WAY weaker than it should be. I say this because I've grinded 100 hours as a pure STR build and nearly any other weapons will kill quicker and more effectively. Don't call for a Nerf because strength sucks, call for a buff

This is why people are mainly using the blood builds. It's because of how the Arcane scaling, build up, and the smoking gun to this unfair mechanic for a crit build is the stagger. When the blood bar is full the stagger procs and the player can't move. In that time you just spam the attacks to get another bleed out. River of blood can also abuse this mechanic. To fix this is just remove the stagger because crit builds should never be rewarded for staggers. Only builds like madness or parrys deserve it.
They should honestly leave OP shite in game, maybe locking it to single player. Even better, lock it completely to single player, and make it extremely hard to get, so that it’s rewardingly op without the guilt of cheese.

PvP is terrifying because of these bleed builds my 63 vigor doesn't even help I just explode if they touch me XD and if they have quickstep too...I just leave lol. Great video though!!!
It's really good but as you said if the boss is immune to bleed you're done.
This is were rivers of blood is really good, because it's ash of war deals decent damage enven without bleed.
Get both weapons to cover any possibilities.
With rivers of blood you don't have to worry about applying sepuku every minute and you have better range as well cause you don't have to physically hit the enemy. It obviously takes a little bit longer to cause bleeding but like one second longer.

Yep!! Both at level 25, 45 arcane, 133 blood buildup on each! Not to mention that just hitting the left bumper one time counts as 4 hits on the boss. It's amazing!!

I have even better idea dragon seal maxed and rivers of blood maxed fire bleed build and uchigatana on left hand with sepuku. Last story boss killed in 3th try was pretty ez, arc 46, str/dex 30, vigor 40 and some endurens my lvl was 150 some thing when I killed her. Will do new game and go for mage greatsword tank this time😁
The real question is how well does this build stack up to the last 5 bosses of the game

I've read that some mobs drop the scavenger curved sword as well, I can't confirm it, but I know people have mentioned it several times in videos/forums.

Soft cap means that you get diminished returns. Hard cap means it can’t be overcome. Hard cap is always 99.

There is a massive dip in status scaling at 45. After 60 it does fuck all. Dmg scaling is a different story.
I don't really understand why they decided to make unique weapons weaker in most cases than standard weapons with affinities. It really limits options in my opinion.

Please test these out appropriately. You can't do tests in Limbgrave; it's balanced for un-upgraded weapons on starting characters. End game stats and gear need to be tested AND demonstrated in end game areas like Haligtree.

@@danielescoto6067 He has a +10 Rivers of Blood, +25 Blood Uchigatana, +10 Elanora's Poleblade etc. Every upgrade tier is significant for Somber weapons and ever 2-3 upgrades for normal smithing stones. The only areas that are viable testing grounds ARE the consecrated snowfield, Haligtree, and Crumbling Farum Azula. I don't need to see if his build works, I've very much aware of how strong all of these weapons are.
The problem is that he starts with "it takes one hit to bleed" and misleads from there. Bleed is rather strong even before the update, so players building with any bleed in mind will do just fine. The problem is that everything is peddled like this, and those players following less meta "builds" will not have a good time.
