Hi guys great vlogs just a little tip when u plug the electric hook up in plug your van in first then plug into the electric box then u are not carrying a live cable about then un plug from box first when packing up! Hope you don’t mind me saying but can be dangerous regards dave

Loved this series. Sounds like you would enjoy caravan club certified location CL sites. Very small sites with basic amenities. Also re bedding duvalays are amazing. As caravaners completely agree, you have to be tidy and put stuff away. We have had various caravan layouts, my husband hates making the bed every night, now we have a fixed bed.
I follow a vlogger and her husband (retired) who first owned a motor home like Taylor for 2 years (they used bikes to save taking it iff site), sold it and had a trailer (caravan) and truck for 2 years, sold it. They now have a van that has twin beds and love it. I suppose like having a home - it is never perfect. Having watched a few camper vlogs people come up with some ingenious storage ideas. I have loved the series - thank you so much.

Always a chuckle for me when I watch you.I feel you did exceptionally well in the motor home.The girls are lovely and well behaved and you are very loving and considerate of their needs.
I am venturing on a cruise in October sailing out of Southampton to travel across the Atlantic ending up in Bayonne New Jersey, flying to Toronto to stay with family and returning to my home in Nova Scotia. I will fly to England,visit family and embark on the Anthem of the Seas. I am very excited.

A Holiday I thoroughly enjoyed and will do in a heartbeat again .was the Norfolk Broads on a Richardsons boat hire. There’s a lot more room ,full size beds mine had two bathrooms and even a Jacuzzi bath. Great family time.
It would be good to hire a smaller one say for a weekend and go those basic sites , do that a couple of times to see how it compares to the trio this year. Loved watching as always , such great family time 😍

I did this a few yrs ago with mum and sister on roadtrip around Scotland. It had bunks and bed above the driver, living space smaller but you can sit outside. I loved it and will put a retirement plan in place. We did sightseeing, meals out and evening snacks in van. Would you consider towing a caravan so you have the car? Great vlogs, thank you ❤️

Loved the series guys. I'm off to Newquay in a few weeks . I've got a lodge to stay in for a week dont think I'd cope in a van .
Loved van life , for me I would go one bigger and a slide out for my family 😁 but it was great to see Size wise 👍 absolutely loved this series 💜🇦🇺🙋♀️

Great honest review another good job well done
If you decide to get a motor home you could join the caravan and motorhome club or caravan and camping club. They have sites that are called certified sites that are usually on someones land with only five pitches. Some don't have any showers some do but not commercial some have electric hook ups some don't . You don't always need to go on car parks. Worth looking at if you're interested in this.
Thanks for the honest opinion about van life. We have looked to do it round Scotland but think it's worth waiting a few year and the kids won't want to come.
I think you all did well with such a small space, 3 adult, & 2 kids. Then you add heat. I'm not sure I would do as well. At least you will have the memories. I indeed enjoyed your trip & learned some stuff about van life. It's always nice to get home though.✌️👍🤗💖
This has been an excellent series. You have experienced "Van Life" and its good parts and not so good parts, so if you did decide to do it again, you would probably do things a lot differently to suit yourselves. Like you say, you had to think of entertaining the girls too. You made some wonderful memories which the girls will remember forever.

Watched the van life series over a couple of days. I’ve found it truly interesting as this was something my partner and I have considered. I’m not as fit as you too, so a lot of the work involved would be down to my partner Andy. Driving it wouldn’t be an issue. I’ve admired all the effort you both put into the holiday to give your family a truly enjoyable time and throughout all the issues you faced, you did it. Welcome home.❤️❤️

I am quite surprised by your vanlife comments,I was convinced you were going to buy your own. It looked like you were having so much fun but like you said you don't see everything on a vlog.
That said its been really good watching it all.

We bought a swift escape 685 in oct 19. Had some fun but sold it spring 21. The negatives outweighed the positives for us. Would hire one for a hol if just us 2 but wouldn't own one again.
Maybe van life Paris next year?

You should re-edit and do a frustration video just for fun. I always wanted to drive a van you could sleep in but stay at places you could shower and clean up at their places. Now at my age I’ll just book hotels. Taking care of a real camper van is too much work for me. Was the price worth it??
Love end comment vanlifes not for us. Fast forward a year+ and theyve converted a van 90% themselves and are lovin it

I personally don’t think van life would be for me, though I wouldn’t mind visiting many of the places you went. I think to me living in the van would be much too claustrophobic, though that’s probably partly to do with my height. And Nick made it look easier cooking in the van than it apparently was, from what you said.
Next Van trip across the USA? 😁❤️
