  • Here we are back on the "Preparations for a house extension".
    The carpenters have now bricked the house foundation and now it's time for us with the rest of the ground work.
    In this episode we start with the drainage of the house foundation and the drainage of roof water.
    We lead that water to a stone pit where it is allowed to infiltrate further into the ground.
    We also connect a drain from a cellar space that was not included in the original plan.

    Thanks mr Hedblom for part 2 of this project and it looks as though you had a great vista to look at as well as that beautiful sunset as your workday came to an end, looking forward to seeing part 3 and see you next time.
    Oh I nearly forgot, we have snow drops starting to bloom here in the U.K. and the snow drop is my favourite flower as it’s a reminder that spring is starting it’s procedure to arrive.

    I had loved to have a tiltrotor in my workdays, makes things much easyer.. -cover Your materials with a tarp, it makes it easy to find Your materials dry and free of snow, catcrap etc.😉 And again, You are so good at Your work..! 🤗 Karl.

      I don't know what that is for, but it looks like it might be for water from the gutters or whatever you english speakers call it? Then there won't be water in there anyway when the temperature is below freezing.

    • @meandnature6452
      @meandnature6452 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@erik.... well i think that can also freeze, when the snow starts melting it drips water in the tubes and that might freeze overnight

    • @uppsalahazzemarkstedt2759
      @uppsalahazzemarkstedt2759 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's really not a problem in Sweden and other cold weather countries if you don't have any standing water in it. A slope 1:100 is enough to empty it out, because soil temperature is higher from beneath. When you get snow on top it's insulating well. Small rodents live between grass layer and snow all winter if they can find food as roots!

    • @meandnature6452
      @meandnature6452 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@uppsalahazzemarkstedt2759 true, depends where in sweden, the frostline can go down to 2,5 meters in some places, but its true that the tubes are mostly empty if the slope is correct
