When it comes to Chinese brands, there is an inherent bias against Chinese brands by reviewers who stick with their preferences for legacy brands. There is a lot of complaining about non-issues regarding Chinese cars, things they will gloss over if they are in a European, Korean or Japanese brand. This one here is not a review, it's a semi-rant because she is in a Chinese-made car. This car is not flawed, the gripes, iffiness and "problems" are simply an inability on her part to accept a Chinese car as being good.
Although the fit and finish of the Chinese cars is now on par with legacy car makers, the under the skin polish is still lacking. @zimcoder Thinks Like bad software calibration of the accelerator are a mayor issue and rob you of driving enjoyment and confidence

I like how frank you are. The price is hard to ignore. Personally, I want something that drives well and something that won't need to live at a petrol station. I would skip the Chinese cars for now. I think they have some homework to do in the dynamics, engine and suspension departments. Good effort though. The reliability part, only time will tell and we have to give them a chance. Hi Reba, thank you for your honesty in the review but I think you missed out the warranty and service plan details which to some people is a very important factor. I know with Cherry they have this new thing where the new owner (first owner ONLY) gets 1 million kilometer warranty on the engine or something like that. So this kind of would be well worth mentioning because you want to try and sell that car. This is a constructive criticism if you have taken it wrongly.

Make sure the car is not on Auto hold , because if u not used to Auto hold u might think the car gives Jerky feel or it jump before it moves.. and 8.2 L / 100km is what we getting. I don't know the reviews always exaggerate the fuel consumption 😢 ...IL give u 8/10 on this one🎉😂
Nice review....I was also expecting the price tag to be a bit above R500k, I agree with the quirkiness of it, I experienced the same when I test drove it. But it is well spec+ed. I'm getting a second hand H6 HEV with that price.

For 469k i`d go for the Tiggo 7 (Pro, if possible) just simply based on the looks for the Dashing are ok but still need to be toned a bit and the fuel figure is a bit too high. I think they still need to refine their products a bit more and probably, the second generation cars will be much better and more refined.

My biggest criticism of Chinese car brands is exactly that, their inability to get the mechanics side of things right. There’s a weird disconnect with the gearbox and the engine. I’ve driven the Haval H6 GT and I felt the same thing. But it’s a decent product nonetheless.
Test drived it and it lacks speed, I even told the sales guy that it is too slow and sluggish and noisy when u try to increase speed... But it is a looker .. It turns heads
Why do SA reviewers do this? They talk about a feature, say a grille and go into detail but show footage of the key instead of the grille they're talking about? Is it careless editing or spite?
