Legacy and culture really won't cut it in this market. Tiguan was one of my favorite family suvs but eish this gen looks hideous! even the r line isnt it. With my money im taking the sportage, it looks exquisite and is very punchy. I see what VW tried to do with the pricing but will it be enough?will this new gen continue the legacy of the tiguan? probably not. Another great review maseve! ❤
Does not look good at all. I love the previous gen and can not forgive the looks of this one. It just came too soon after the second gen, and we were still enjoying the second gen
Volkswagen must just be careful of the new Kia Sportage that's been in everyone's lips - they're coming back with a bang. 🔥But a great car overall in the VW Tiguan 🔥
Her love for the brand came through and very bias review. I still love her videos though. The back looks like a Suzuki Grand Vitara. Then you have to add all the optional extras. Mara one cannot buy a car purely based on IT IS A LEGACY PRODUCT. Legacy products die everyday in the absence of innovation. The comparison between the mid-sized Omoda C9 and the compact VW Tiguan is kind of unfair because those two are not neccesarily in the same category. Love your content still.
It’s fair cos of pricing. In my opinion, and the Omoda also has a 2.0l. You can’t say my review is biased just because I praised the car, there’s not much to fault here. I don’t understand why you guys want us to trash talk cars and can’t show appreciation when it’s due.
@@RebaSCars Akere you are giving us the content to consume and see the latest trends within the motor industry. so when we sitting here watching the review and we pick gore noh maaan, this comes across as a bias review we should be able to engage on that and thank you for allowing us to do so. on the comparison of the two cars, one is from a category above the other and the pricing of the vehicle from the category below meeting up to the vehicle above it shows gore the legacy products are finding it hard to remain competitive in the fast evolving space of motoring. We are not saying you must trash talk the cars no, but your biased view did come through on this video. Mind you we are not hating on the content, contrary to that we love it. hence we keep coming back to your channel every week and we sometimes wish you could post like THREE TIMES a week. Great review but I would have an extensive in-depth look into the Sportage and H6 HEV before considering this. Yes pricing is competitive but the looks will quickly become long in the tooth, whereas the other rivals look more sharp and stylish and will age much better. Not a bad car though.
So I can’t have a positive review of a car? You guys aren’t cool. There has to be a balance. We can’t bash cars all day and when we do, you say we are mean.
The first batch of HD IQ headlights Tiguan's are docking this coming Monday 18/11/2024. I've got one order on that boat, can't wait to take delivery in a weeks time 🙌
The interior plastics felt cheap to me. They get cheap at the back whereas Chery and Omoda retain the same material at the back as in the front. Also, it's got nothing to do with our fuel quality. The previous one had more power and other carmakers can give us diesel engines with more power and no excuses. VW just doesn't care anymore. Also, VW had known issues with some of their tsi engines and dsg gearboxes. The legacy doesn't matter anymore. People are quick to complain about an issue with a Chinese car meanwhile vw has law suits overseas for their crappy gearboxes and reliability issues. You can't compare the Omoda to the Tiguan.. The Omoda is levels above the Tiguan.
And the infotainment screen that looks like an afterthought 😂... I like the interior of the new Tiguan however that screen is a no no for me even inside a small golf it looks so out of place.
The price is too high still. We get the old 1.4 engine whereas overseas they get a 1.5 tsi. They did it to keep the price down. And once you add some options it's even more expensive.
I am happy with the changes on it but vw is lazy sometimes. I have seen this steering wheel in this Tiguan, TCross, TRoc, Polo, and disappointingly in an Amarok too. This steering is coming from the 2022 generations of the models mentioned above. I feel like theres a lack of creativity there.
Someone said "She sound like she is paid this one" 😭😭 Anikahleni guys😂😂 but I do agree that the face of this car is not make sure, previous model is the real deal
Everyone here has a comment about pricing, I'm honestly not sure for how much you would like to buy the Tiguan for 😂 My white Tiguan 1.4 TSI R-Line are touching down next week, can't wait to take delivery 🔥 This car indeed drives beautifully!!!
The pricing threw me off. It's not affordable considering the competition.. 🤣 Lol, forget Legacy Reba in this economy. We want value for money, and Haval H6 HEV is the one. The interior is also meeeh, they tried thou. #ValueForMoney
They tried to fool everyone in to thinking the price didn't change. Lol. What they did was give us an old 1.4 tsi engine with low power outputs while the rest of the world gets the mild hybrid 1.5 tsi. Then you have to add some options to make it feel less cheap and without the R Line package it looks unfinished, cheap and like a blobby fish. Just no on this. And when you look at how well the Chinese are doing with crash tests getting 5 stars, this is even less appealing. The Omoda C9 is a category above yet you can get a top spec version which has real Nappa leather seats and adaptive dampers (which VW SA doesn't even offer as an option on the Tiguan here). The Omoda also has a ton more power and torque and a better normal auto gearbox instead of VWs problematic DSG. These legacy brands must stop taking us for fools.
I hear you. I really do. But I do think that KIA, Hyundai and VW have solid offerings in this segment and while the Chinese have seemingly better offerings, their pricing won’t be like that forever. You may call them competitive now but in a while they’ll cost the same as these brands, if not more due to demand. Better supply chain sure, better value-for-money products but even with our price sensitivity, we need to appreciate the challenger and legacy brands as well.
@RebaSCars I can't appreciate the legacy anymore. Most cars have become unaffordable for most South Africans. We've been made to believe that we can't afford a car that looks good with nice features and good power. The Chinese have given us that and I appreciate it more. VW will still make money on the Tiguan if they make the features standard. They're just greedy. The engine they've given us is unacceptable and a slap in the face. And it isn't like VW is known for being reliable or cheap to maintain. Especially the 1.4 tsi and the dsg gearbox.
@@SDav21 Shame, you sound very hurt by the German cars being priced outside your budget my friend. For me, a car is way more than just the sticker price, its the drive and reliability. Chinese cars will never be able to match the German drivetrain! I test drove the current Kia Sportage 1.6, but the Tigaun 1.4 TSI just out performs it with drivability. Hence, I bought my Tiguan, delivery is next week Friday 22/11/2024. #SaveTheDate 😂😂😂

Improved on interior and regressed on the exterior 😢...such a dilemma. The second gen is the most beautiful looking Tiguan
I just LOVE how Reba always starts her car reviews by singing 😆😆😍😝❤and of course I sing along. Really enjoyed this review❤❤.

Its ugly compared to the previous generation
LOL, it's like all these newer generations have become uglier instead of improving. Especially the front for this one, it's bad.
Does not look good at all.

The Sportage does not even sell 50 units a month lol!
R Line looks great👍
I thought you'd open with a Chinese song 😂😂😂. Nice vid as always, welcome back
Always lean towards the R-line and R when it comes to the Tiguan. But all in all it's a good car.
When my fav lady post a car review. Love it. Love it
Excellent review. Pertinent,on point, highlighting essentials. Thank u
Your intro mmm the best of all "amadamara" with the right key " b-major "

Beautiful interior but the previous generation does it better though. Please do a review on the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque D200🙏

Everyone I see a GLE I always think of that statement hey 😂. “Mdala spec” 😂
Give me the previous gen exterior with this gen interior and I'm happy.
I definitely enjoyed it mama🥰
The Tiguan went from looking stylishly aggressive to looking like a sculpted bar of soap. It's boring.

I think the Mazda CX-5 interior looks way better
Agreed 👍 no big screens and things you don't need just a simple clean beautiful interior.
In terms of pricing for both the T-cross and the Tiguan Volkswagen South Africa has actually pleasantly surprised me.
