    The guy at Viasue
    told me to tell you thank you for Speaking about his product on your TH-cam channel I have a 4 x 12 Tyco track and I sent him my track and he gave me a very good price so I did 4 power taps per lane and my cars fly and I also have the same Power supply that you have I was going to do one supply per lane but I ended up doing two lanes to one power supply in two lanes to the other power supply and I got them off of eBay brand new for $47.$.50 per power supply so I appreciate your TH-cam channel thank you very much and keep up the good work

      Thanks! Yeah Viasue makes a great product. Why do you feel you need more than one supply? One 10 amp supply should be more than enough to power a four lane track running just about any chassis even four 2 ohm neo cars.

      @@marksslotcargarage the reason why I am buying two power supplies and running one supply for two lanes and two for four lanes is because at times I run unlimited cars

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      I run 2 ohm viper neo cars and never have an issue with them needing more power than the 10 amp supply can provide. I still think you would be ok with just the one supply but nothing wrong with having two, can never have too much power...lol

    Great video. 👍🏻
    Most of the people that I helped with this, just didn't trust themselves. With this video and the diagram shown, its pretty straight forward.

    I always wanted a longwei, but hey you play the hand you’re dealt. 😂 Great vid! Very informative! Thanks for taking the time… This is what I was hoping to learn. A friend gave me an older 4 lane Tomy AFX Super G set and I’d like to run the new Mega G+ GT40’s and others as I progress. Now I’ll have to sort the controller situation. Thanks again!

    Here's a quick quote from HCS.
    _"It is often said that power should be applied every 15 or 20 feet for an even power distribution. This is true, but an even better way of determining power terminal track spacing is to count track joints. It is the joints that rob your track of power not just the length. Applying power every 12 to 15 track joints will assure that your track is properly powered."_

    Mark, I've been trying to sort out and do my under-track wiring now for what feels like months. I even run Race-Coord/ViaSue timing.... and had no idea they offered this. I reeeeeally have to get moving! Thanks for sharing, AGAIN! (YUP -just checked - 2 months ago I posted my "Power Taps Coming" video....OMG)

    Hello Mark I have a question about your wiring on your AFX track. What's the amp or volts on the push button breakers? Thanks Del

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used 3 amp, you can use any where from 2-5 amps but it also depends what you are running for a power supply and what cars you will be running, I was using a supply that could provide up to 10 amps.

    Hey Mark, I'm using Difalco 505 controllers, they only have 2 wires what would be the wiring for that? Thanks Keith

      Just remove the red center wire that goes to the controller, the rest of the wiring is the same. Thanks,

    Hey mark. What gauge wire did you use? & what amp are the resetable fuses? What are they actually called? Thanks.

      @marksslotcargarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      I used 18 gauge wire, the circuit breakers are 3 amp.

    Thanks for that. What size board is your track on? Standard 4x8?

    • @marksslotcargarage
      @marksslotcargarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The board is 4x10, I used two 4x8 boards that I cut down to 4x5 each.

      Just remove the red center wire that goes to the controller, the rest of the wiring is the same. The negative from the supply would go straight to the passenger side of the track.
