I took a doctorate history class about Hip Hop, teachers teach the roots, the impact of HipHop inside culture and bring real HipHop artists into the classes to talk about their own experiences. Teachers are aware they are not HipHop but they have an obligation to talk about it because HipHop is part of history and students need to learn history, I see nothing wrong about it. Nobody here went to the First world war, not the teacher not the students, but teachers need to investigate and teach about first world war because it is part of history, same with Hip Hop.

I feel like now more than ever people form their views upon what people from the universities say without questioning said sources or thinking about the material in question and coming up with their own opinions.

If you eat their products than stop buying them. Buy from your local community business. If people can unify as KRS-one said, and support their own local community economies by the masses, the nation's economic inequality should decrease. They'll empower their own communities and in turn weaken the corporations. People would have to just be willing to spend a little bit more per product. With our current excessive consumerism tendencies in america, we'll have to curb our typical spending and buy only what we need, but in the end we should save more and see growth in economic power. In my opinion, that will be the only way there'll be change. Thoughts?
