Awesome I’m gonna try this and I’m gonna put vanilla since that changes colors so nobody would know the difference right? Awesome Ellen love your videos.
Hi neighbor (I'm in WNC) Also had some power outages here, I'm hatching some eggs in an incubator for a friend and this always seems to happen whenever I do this! Now I have 2 broody hens, wish they were in the mode 2 weeks ago!
Great Video and I bet that smells so good!!! When I made beer soap, I boiled my beer in a saucepan until the alcohol evaporated. When I was working on my lye solution, it foamed up when I slowly added the lye. I think I didn't let the beer cool down enough. It was a bit scary as I thought it was going to overflow from the container when I was adding the lye. Have you ever had that happen before?
Girl, I naturally gravitate to these scents. Sandalwood n Patchouli u had me at Sandalwood. Lol I love cedar and bourbon n all of that. I wear Pink Sugar but I also wear Blue Sugar! Ur speaking to my Wiccan soul! Lol lol
There's a link in my Amazon store for the oats I'm currently using. I've found that grinding my own doesn't get a fine enough grind and you can feel it in the soap....
I compared 1t vanilla bean powder per lb of oils to 1T. 1t is fine for visual interest, but 1T actually gives off a little vanilla scent (nice for an unscented bar when people are allergic to fragrance/essential oils) and has a lovely gentle exfoliating feeling. It would be fun (though expensive) to use more per lb and see the results.
I really want to see the wine soap!
Love, love , love Guinness Beer especially in soap. Sandalwood and Patchouli sounds earthy to me❤
Definitely my kinda soap, it's gorgeous, I will have to try making a beer soap, cheers! 🍻

Oh yes, I've had that happen 🤣 Adding the lye super slowly helps.
Ok thanks and good to know. And I guess it helps,to have a really large container !
Thank you for sharing 🥰
Thanks for watching!🍺
Love it!!! 😊
Thank you!! 😊🍺

I do love the more masculine scent 🍺❣️
Guinness is one of my husband's favorite beers! (Hint: it also makes an amazing cake!!) Definitely going to have to try this soap recipe for him
I've heard of Guinness cake, but haven't tried it.. I did make guinness bread once and it was awesome❣️
@@EllenRuthSoap you must try the Guinness cake it's amazing and shall I dare say almost sinful
An alcohol theme would be fun, or even a variety of beverages.
Really like your cutter have you been pleased with it?
Yes, I've really loved my multi-bar cutter❣️
Do you think a beer lye solution would work in a coconut oil soap? I was thinking lots of lather!
I've never tried that, but I bet it would be great❣️
Hi Ellen can you use beer in Melt & Pour?
Good question?? I don't know??
It's absolutely beautiful! What kind of oats do you use? Can I grind my own?😊
There's a link in my Amazon store for the oats I'm currently using. I've found that grinding my own doesn't get a fine enough grind and you can feel it in the soap....
The titanium dioxide you used did it come in powder, and you mixed it with your oil before using it, or you pre-made in a bottle?
I use water soluble TD (it does come in powder form) then pre-mix in water so it's ready to go.
@@EllenRuthSoap thank you for your help. Do you have a rule of thumb for mining the powder and water? 1:1 ratio?
@@katrinai8261 2 parts water to 1 part TD
Where can I buy those large pitchers you use Ellen?
There linked in my Amazon store in the description box 😉
@@EllenRuthSoap unfortunately I am in Canada. Otherwise I would purchase through your affiliate store. I am such a fan of your recipes!
Would hou do a wine soap? Glutenous beer is a no-no for me. 💕
...you...(darn tiny buttons)
Yes👍 It's coming🍷
Amazon has vanilla bean powder.
So does Soma Sundries. I get most of my botanicals from her (Ophelia's Soapery) if you live in the US consider supporting her.
Елена, буду вам благодарен,если вы напишите рецепт приготовления этой красоты,какие ингредиенты нужны и как их можно смешивать. Заранее благодарю.
Here is a video with several recipes, plus I have a recipe playlist: th-cam.com/video/SO5n4uWEVO0/w-d-xo.html
Please make the theme. I want to see the wine soap.
It's officially on my "to do" list💕
What size are your bars?
About 1x2.5x3"

Will it make you smell like beer ?
Not at all, the beer scent fades completely after saponification.
@@EllenRuthSoap Ok good
