Great product, considering buying. Any tutorial on how to make customized intersections? For example, I have 2 left-turn only lanes, 2 through lanes and 1 right-turn only lane. something like that
This has to be the most amazing add-on I've ever come across. Just picked up the Small Studio version. I'll dive into it tomorrow, I know you'll be adding more things in the future - just one request: could you please add the option to add real drivers to the cars? And as I don't have time to try the add-on at the moment, have you included pedestrians or will that be a future update? I would also like to compliment you on your explanations, which are very clear and in a gentle tone - it makes it easy to follow. Thank you so much for your great and hard work - I can't wait to start creating with The Roads Must Roll.
Hi! Thank you so much for the kind comment! 😊 It's nice to hear you appreciate the explanations. I’d love to hear your thoughts once you start using it. Adding drivers in the cars and animated (low-poly) pedestrians are on my list for the future. Currently, I'm focused on expanding the material options significantly and making it possible for users to apply their own textures.
Hi, thank you! I will implement the option to change the textures on the overhead signs by the next update. Concerning the other road signs: I will look into a way to easily swap the textures on those. Have a great day!
Congratulations on the work, this is amazing, and it will help me a lot in a project I'm doing, even though this project is in Brazil, if you add some signs and other things similar to Brazil this will be perfect
Hi Leonir, thank you very much! 🙂 It is one of my goals to make the traffic signs more easily customizable in the future. I'm curious about the road infrastructure in Brazil actually. I will have to take a look.
Hello, ur addon is amazing. i want to ask, why when i activated yellow double line, the line offset not in the center off the road but on the side. when i change the yellow double position, the double line is farther off from the road.
Thanks! :-) The positions of the yellow double lines are fixed on the positions where the white lines would be. Maybe I will change this in a future version so it's not fixed anymore. If it's really a problem, could you send me an email? Then we can see together how we can fix this.
Hi Man, this is a real interesting tool! :) since I use 3ds max an vray for my renders, would be possible to export, once created, the street, cars etc in fbx to 3ds max?
Hey, I tested exporting to Unreal Engine using .fbx, and it works. The only catch is that most of the materials won’t convert. You’ll need to convert the road (created with geometry nodes) to a mesh first. For more details on the process and limitations, check out the FAQ on the website: theroadsmustroll.com/docs/#faq - Cheers, Pieter
Hi Waleed, thanks for your interest. Because of the complexity of all the elements it's currently too hard too make everything snap together and adjust automatically. To make an intersection you just put the different elements together in the 3D viewport: roads, a patch of asphalt, traffic lights, ...You can use one of the presets I made as a starting point. (see also the "Tip & Tricks" video)
@@Roads_Must_Roll Hi Pieter, thank you for that. I bought it now and it is good. However, I noticed that road lines only appear with Materials LOD 3 and disappear with LOD 1, and 2. I am sending you images in your email.
@@WaleedMustafa-l7q Hey Waleed, As I mentioned in the email, this issue likely comes up because you're using "Material Preview" mode in the 3D viewport. That mode runs on EEVEE, while The Roads Must Roll is optimized for Cycles. Switching to "Rendered Preview" mode should solve the problem. Have a great day. Cheers, Pieter
Hi there. The terrain will not adapt automatically to the road or vice versa. You can make the pillars of the bridge adapt automatically to the terrain though.

Great add-on! I hope there will be a tutorial guide for customizing props and road signs. Thank you!

only geometry nothing else.
How to connect road segments to each other? Do they snap to each other and to intersections?

can the road follow a mountain terrain?
