My Father in Law, Steve Sheers developed the EOVA, and he has 70+ years in the Ham Radio world. He has made and tested versions for decades. He settled on the current and final design. He has them on his house, on on our RV.

Thanks for the review. I had heard about the Eagle One but couldn't visualize how they handled getting the wire inside it. Now I see how it uses another short pole for support. I've had a 30 foot fiberglass pole for many years and it's a great antenna tool. Now I have the idea of another way to use it!

I've had an Eagle One for over 5 years and mounted it on a re-purposed satellite dish
pole. Run with 3 16 foot radials and 100 Watts. Talk to the world and have been
extremely pleased with it. Gary - N1PZB

Nice 👍 job…..welcome to the Eagle One Club. I agree it’s a great antenna to have as an option for our activations based on operating locations- W1FYG

I have my eagle One stationary with a metal pipe in the ground and it fastened to that pipe instead of the tripod 50 ft coax swr stays good no radials it's best with the 9:1 UnUn I cannot complain swr is really good across almost all of the bands it holds up good in the 40 mph wind gusts so far I got it in I think October 2022 I will be trying it soon for a park activation here in Alabama when the weather gets right it will be my first parts on the air but time will tell. 73 KQ4AHR

Now that you have had this for awhile how do you like it.

Why all the twisting? If you pull each section to its limit a 1/2 twist is enough to lock it in place and on the next section 1/2 twist the other way. Then you won’t have all the curly qs in the wire going up or down. I use a drive on pole holder for a JacKite 30’ pole and run my wire up the outside. Saves a lot of work untwisting the wire and I can make mine a sloper, a vertical, or an end fed with another pole. Eagle One is a neat idea though. Dave K8WPE

James, do you use a 4:1 or 9:1 unun with your Eagle One or just an antenna tuner?

@@HamRadioAdventureGuy What type of wire does it have? I'm super interested in this antenna for my activations. I like to check everything out before I make the purchase though. I have a Mobile setup that is a FT-991A with a LDG AT-100 PROII and in my truck I have an FT-891 that I use an ATAS-120A with, both work exceptionally well with the ATAS-120A but no 75/80 meters. Is the feedline connector SO-239?

Very nice, was wondering what that antenna was actually when reading the QSL card. Going to be sending you one back shortly. :)
