If you live in the USA, there’s already two grounding rods 6’ apart 10 feet long connected to the ground and cold water bonds in your house. So every outlet has a good ground. Cut the hot and neutral tabs off a plug and Connect a copper wire to this same setup in your bedroom. That short piece of copper isn’t getting deep enough to reach the grounded shelf inside the earth. That is why the two grounding rods are 10’ deep and they’re 6’ apart to prevent displacement of electromagnetism to your service panel.
So what would happen if I did the rod in my red dirt basement? It's adug out approximately 8 feet so if I go down another 3 to 4, would that be good enough?
Yes. Every modern American home is grounded. I saw his outlet and wondered why he didn't just plug into the ground because that house was certainly grounded.

@@mindless6096 the only thing a rod does is increase the surface area in ground contact AND ensure that sufficient depth is reached where moist ground is contacted... Why didn’t you use the ground from the outlets? They are the same potential as your rod. Plus you need to use a 100kohm resistor in series in no case of surges
True the electrical outlets are convenient but I read from other people’s experience that they felt their energy is drained away and noticed a worsening of symptoms if using electrical outlets. It’s probably due to electro-magnetic influences that are negative eg appliances, satellite signals, municipal signals etc.

You don’t think it would attract a lightning strike to your bed lol definitely you’ll get a charge out of that
Lightning strikes the highest point.
It's grounded. It'll go straight down through the earth.

Lol not every house is grounded. Quite the opposite actually.
"Every outlet has a good ground" Dangerous - - some were wired wrong and your info could lead to electric shock/electrocution.
No! Do not do this! You don’t know how well a house is grounded or if it’s grounded at all. This can potentially harm you from faulty wiring.
I put my grounding rod in my crawlspace...safe from any lightning

Use a copper screen, hook up the ground wire to it then lay down on the screen. If there's lightning keep one foot in a bucket of water. 😆
