  • DOWN TO EARTH --- The Earthing Short Film
"The Earthing Movie: The Remarkable Science of Grounding" is directed by Sundance Award-Winning filmmakers Josh and Rebecca Tickell (The Big Fix, FUEL, etc). This is a feature-length documentary based on their viral short film entitled 'Down To Earth,' that reveals the scientific phenomenon of how we can heal our bodies by doing the simplest thing that a person can do…standing barefoot on the earth.
The winner of the Audience Award for Best Documentary at Dances With Films Festival, the film shares the Tickell family's journey with the healing power of grounding, aka earthing, and the people they met and learned from along the way; featuring grounding pioneer Clint Ober, author Deepak Chopra M.D., actress/activist Amy Smart, author/activist Mariel Hemingway, cardiologist Dr. Stephen Sinatra, renowned healer Dr Joseph Mercola, engineer and physicist Gaetan Chevalier, PhD. and many others.
Over 20 peer-reviewed studies have shown that Grounding (Earthing) reduces inflammation...one of the most damaging internal biological processes that leads to chronic disease. So get out there and put your feet on the ground, and/or increase your grounding time indoors with grounding products. Your body and mind will thank you! Went from grounding 30/60 minutes a day to 4-5 hours a day and noticed a big improvement to my sleep. Wondered it the more you earthed in a day the better/quicker the benefits. So I ordered an Earthing mattress and mini mat to put near my couch to use while watching TV. I'm now grounded anywhere between 12-16 hours a day and what a difference it's been. Better (much) sleep, anxiety and stress are gone, more energy and I've lost 16lbs in about 10 weeks without trying! Haven't taken any Advil in over 2 months and have had zero pain. Haven't felt this good in since I DON'T KNOW WHEN!!!!

EarthFX, which is clint ober's company, in which every "researcher" they cite owns stock (you can see this disclosure at the end of the "studies" they cite, studies which rely heavily on citing their own research. This is not how science is done.) They DO absolutely sell products, like expensive "grounding blankets" and "grounding pads". They are completely taking advantage of people's lack of understanding about how legitimate scientific inquiry is conducted. Clint Ober is not a scientist of any kind. He was a cable guy and marketer. He obviously learned the marketing thing very well. Everything in this movie is pseudoscience, except the fact that our bodies run on electrical signals (but also chemical signals).

What I do during summer time, I go to the rivers and just chill in the river for a few mins for three or four times a week so my energy in my body neutralizes. I notice I sleep better and don't have any pain of any kind. I don't depend on any medication or anything. I'm 47 years old. I hope people do this more often to stay healthy. 🙃🙃

I stopped wearing shoes, just about everything in my body was altered, one bit at a time. My walk, gait and balance have all improved, my strength and pure grit has returned, my ongoing depression has lifted. I'm bear foot 100% each day, and for the past 3 years.

      @JohnSmith-fj3uf ปีที่แล้ว

Chrissy that tree stump is likely dry and an insulator. When Clint says there cannot be inflamation if one is grounded apparently animals don't have inflamation....if we believe his nonsense. Grounding current is too low to cause significant effect. The current is less than 1 micro amp. in a day that is about < 10 to the 18th power of electrons. The electrons available from the oxidation of 1 milligram of vitamin C is over 10 to the 18th power of electrons.
One cannot tell if these people are honestly mistaken or knowingly committing fraud by selling grounding products with the antioxidant claim.

Thank you! I started barefoot hiking one month ago and do it almost everyday for a couple of hours. I cannot tell you how much better I feel. I am 75 and my health problems are: IBS, extremely enlarged prostate, bladder inflammation (due to impingement of the enlarged prostate), and the gradual appearance of memory problems. The barefoot walking has brought about a dramatic improvement in all the aforementioned conditions. It has also cheered me up quite a bit and I am lucky to feel happy and hopeful due entirely to the barefoot walking. Your film makes perfect sense and has bolstered a favorable opinion that I have already enjoyed regarding grounding and barefoot walking. Thank you so much for getting this information out to the world. It could be a far healthier place if only more people knew the facts about grounding and put their knowledge to work by shedding their shoes.

We can walk the perimeter trail in about an hour. That is a distance of about three miles. The trails are "semi-groomed" which is perfect. Only dangerous objects are removed so one still gets the benefits of all the little stones that actually are giving you an acupressure treatment as well as grounding. FYI to all you grounders, in the electrical industry there is a grounding system called "ufer" it's a goofy name, the point is that it's the best ground method, it actually uses the concrete foundation as the "grounding electrode". I for once in like 20 hours of agony, felt amazing(not perfect, but 5x better). Laid there 10 minutes or so and felt better for a couple hours till I had to go do it again. That was 3 decades ago. When a person uses technology all the time (most usually do), is all the time in their home, one is always exposed though, so some people don't notice until they go sleep in a tent or camper for a week or so. If that is the case you may be sensitive but not super sensitive. For me it's very noticeable though, I feel pain by touching tech, that is EHS.
if you use a cell phone in your camper or tent and there is EMF or RF there it may not be the best test either, but some already feel a difference just leaving their home. It's possible all people have some level of sensitivity but just don't realize or ignore it, often because of being addicted to the tech.

I recently started researching grounding again, the first time I looked into this was in 2012. I had listened to David Wolfe talk about the last book he wrote in 2012 was done while he grounded himself using sheets and a floor mat in front of his desk for 365 days. But back then, if my memory serves me correctly, the grounding sheets were $500. I didn’t feel like spending that much money at the time, so I just grounded naturally, but did not make it a daily practice..
A good friend of mine told me a couple weeks ago that she got a grounding sheet two or three years ago, and how life changing it was. So I spent $110 on a fitted grounding sheet, and the first night I used it last week gave me 9.5 hours of sleep. That blew my mind because I can never sleep that long. Also, I usually get up three or four times a night to use the bathroom, but since I got the sheet I only wake up one time a night to do that.
Thanks for this video explaining what’s going on. I have been sending videos to friends, and they’re all starting to buy grounding sheets, so that’s amazing!

Did you know that the Priests in the Holy temple in Jerusalem were instructed to walk the grounds without any sandals? They performed their duties summer or winter without wearing any footwear. When their were off duty they wore soft leather sandals. As the leather can get humid on the grass or even being worn, they got humid naturally to be grounded. In addition to this, their clothes and robes were made of pure Linen. They were not allowed to mix their clothing with different materials. This was due to the fact that each material emits different frequency. Mixing them would confuse the frequencies and they could get ill. These were the Healing frequencies too. The clothes we wear these days are very unsuitable to the wearers which makes us unhealthy. Polyester is widely used in mix with cotton to prevent wear and tear. This "resilience" is detrimental to our health. Please avoid clothes which are mixed with different man made fibers, especially the underwear which is directly in contact with the skin. Frequencies and vibrations are very important in our lives and health.

This is wonderful and I've heard this before from scientist sharing the findings of an ivy league college regarding cotton and linen. Thank you for sharing this again!! I am going back to wearing all cotton and lined and leather only shoes as best as I can🙏😇🌈🕊

Can someone suggest if ESD or Anti-static mats be used on the beds for grounding? That would be a cheap alternative to buying expensive grounding mats/ save me the trouble of making one myself.

I recall as child, my mom always yelling at me to put my shoes back on, as soon as she'd go back in, I'd take them off again...but it wasn't just me, a few or a bunch of my friends would follow suit.

I’ve had this recurring dream my entire life of, floating away which I’ve always taken as flying and fun and gradually throughout my life getting better at controlling flying in my dreams. And I’d always feel like a superhero. I’ve had this kind of dream since i can remember. Nobody else flies in my dream s I’m always special and super. But sometimes I have dreams where I’m trying to connect to others and be accountable and then there I go starting to float away. I can’t stay on the ground. As much as I try I start to float away. And it’s frustrating. But it’s a regular dream. I’d say a monthly basis if not more often. I’ve always had adhd (undiagnosed) but for sure. Like lack of focus bad listening skills always wanting to move my body and be active rather than have a conversation. I’m 28 now and I’m trying to be more of a responsible adult and connect to the people I love and listen and learn and grow in these relationships. Rather than take them for granted and act like they’ll always be around. It’s very uncomfortable and unnatural and scary for me. But today I focused on feeling the gravity the weight of my body on the chair just really focusing on grounding myself solidly to the chair and floor and it really helped me pay attention and be present with the people around me and the whole vibe of the room changed. It truly helped me today and it was all thanks to my dream last night of floating away. I even had a ruck sack on in my dream to hold me down and I kept floating away. And it’s funny because I’ve been meaning to journal about it but here I am commenting on TH-cam instead 🤷🏼‍♂️ maybe it’s better to share here

      Hi Derek,
I grew up always having dreams of floating, flying, skating a foot off the ground, levitating etc…
I too felt like a superhero but others did not notice even if I tried to show them. Thanks for sharing!

It is incredible to me that people are not aware this this amazing connection to the earth. We are her children. To be in shoes all day long is like an attempt to divorce arrrr source of life. It’s madness and I could contribute to our minds developing a very strange manner

I’ve finally put a 4ft earth rod in the ground connected to duct tape with a 10mm earth. Laid on it last night and was vibrating with a pleasant feeling. I like the idea of experimenting without dismissing it as quacks. Thank you
