An easy win is to make Sarevok think you want to be a Bhaal assassin. The three in front of him will disappear and Sarevok will walk alone to the next room, allowing you to get the jump on him.
It's been patched now, the door opening is triggered by you attacking Sarevok so there's no way to solo him while keeping the other enemies contained. Just tried this fight about 3 times in a row, it's tough. If you close the door behind you on the way in then you can block the three knights at the entrance from joining the fight, that part still works on normal difficulty.
On my first play through defeated him too. Probably as usual I found the most absurd way 😂 bc I just made him dance nonstop and closed the door on the guardians so they wouldn’t bother, and his three red helpers I just bombed
My half orc Paladin 8 (ancients) Fighter 4 (Champion) Went fucking off on Sarevock. I got lucky with Wyll getting to go first i had him use Slow on all four of them. Somehow against all odds it worked on Sarevock and he lost his attack when he jumped to my avatar. Got a lucky crit on my first strike. Was wearing the paralyzing crit amulet and used it right there. Next three attacks were naturally all 2nd level divine smite loaded crits. Poor guy exploded with just a sliver remaining
Maybe after I beat him I’ll feel that way. Act 3 has been substantially harder than Acts 1 & 2 and I’ve leveled up a lot quicker in act 3. But this is a whole new level of wtf for me. This nigga with his 4 fucking attacks that he simultaneously heals from and his legendary resistance of incapacitation that makes most spells useless. I was hoping to cast dominion but ofc that would be too easy lmao
Very nicely done. Didn’t even get to the first dialogue check. I got bored of him droning on and on and on about Orin this and Orin that (I can’t stand Orin) so I switched to Gale and said “it’s wizarding time - FIREBALL MOTHERFUCKERS” right in the face of his three little helpers, started the fight off then I wiped the floor with them. Lots of tactical sanctuary on the character he was closest to and a bit of banish on his helpers left me with only two to fight for about ten turns before he got his shit together, too late for him though. Took his sword of chaos too. The guy was a fraud. If he was a real follower of Bhaal he’d have murdered his own daughter himself and relished it. So when he gave me that like about “afraid for the infant” I knew he wasn’t going to stand up.
I was playing on Explorer difficulty which increases max HP for all party members. High level fighters naturally get 3 attacks, Action Surge gives 3 more attacks, and a potion of speed gives them 3 more attacks for a total of 9.
It's a pity that Irenicus does not appear in Baldur's Gate 3 as a character who joins the team (he escaped from Hell) or Sarevok Sarevok Anchev is shown as an evil character in the game Baldur's Gate 2, Sarevok Anchev became a good character. he can't join the team. Misunderstanding, but Mnisc next stupid.

When did you fight him? According to your life, it must have been high level. I fought him lvl 10, i was under 100 life
My characters have high health pools because I was playing on Explorer difficulty.

This was on Explorer difficulty. This strategy can work, but you may want something better for harder difficulties.

Nah, Sarevok is the OG child of Bhaal. Literally. He's the original big bad of the first game.
