I made Soda bread once and never again. It turned out awful. When my son was in elementary school they had a class project to make something from their heritage and he picked Irish Soda bread. I never made bread in my life and tried getting him to change his mind to like corned beef lol but he wanted soda bread. Well I looked for a recipe. I felt bad for him because he said nobody liked the bread. I tried it and it was awful. I don't know what I did wrong. I have Irish on both my parents side but didn't know Soda bread wasn't the popular bread there. Your muffins look good. Sorry to hear about Brownie.
