I love how terrified Mario was before and after the stab. If you look closely, his eyes/eyebrows/lips were trembling when the sword was holding him up. Mario usually doesn’t show fear. But he met a foe that is a true threat. Lol.

I was watching with a friend and said the sentence "Sephiroth almost Aerith'd Zelda." and this is why Smash scares me.
Even though at 2:05 they clearly don't show it. Seph blocked clouds attack while still having Mario on the tip of his blade, that's so ruthless.

The best part is that the guy with a seraphim inspired transformation killed an *actual* seraphim. This was the perfect way to introduce Sephiroth.

I love how terrified Mario was before and after the stab. If you look closely, his eyes/eyebrows/lips were trembling when the sword was holding him up. Mario usually doesn’t show fear. But he met a foe that is a true threat. Lol.

The problem is: Sephiroth may find a new rival in Smash. Another character who has a sword with enormous range, who can also fight without a shirt and who is at least as strong as Cloud in canon.
Cloud's gonna hide in Club Penguin and Sephiroth will find him there somehow.

I enjoy that his initial natural reactions in both Cloud and Sephiroth's trailer is "Fuck you"

2. He's not exclusively a swordsman
3. He has charisma that's quite literally out of this world
4. Having someone like Dante crossover into something like Smash brings all the more hype back into the game

This was almost like when you fight Sephiroth in kingdom hearts and it's completely unexpected but the music kicks in and you know what you're in for. Same energy.
Man, you're right. It totally _is_ the same energy... God, I still remember my first encounter with Sephy in KH. I had just played through FFX before I started playing KH and my first reaction upon seeing the seal in the sky was "Wait, Bahamut?!" ...and then I saw that it was NOT Bahamut... And then I fukken died because I was still just level 65 and no-where near ready for a fight against Sephiroth... And then I plugged my PS1 right back in and replayed FFVII all over again.
Maxs genuine reactions put such a smile on my face. He shows his love for gaming so openly like I wish I could.
