Timi when old all-rounder are getting less play and need some buffs : we sleep Timi when new all-round are released balance don't need anything much : BUFF TIME
@@user-27126 Gyarados was released in January, and this interaction was a known back in the test servers prior, so I don't believe for a second that not getting attack speed on objectives was unintentional. I'll bet it was restricted for balance reasons, but now they're allowing it, because they've all been smoking the green again.
@@StoicForce they didn't exactly just restrict the boost on the objectives, they just required you the target to be paralysed by dragon breath for the boost to be triggered, they've changed it so that the target only has to be hit now. And the objectives can't get any statuses so the boost weren't triggered.
@@StoicForce also, if it was for balance, why did they allow other Pokémon like Meowscarada and Decidueye to be able to have the boost? I think they never intended for the attack speed boost to be restricted on the objectives, but we were required to paralyse the enemy with dragon breath before the boost is granted, if the enemy had a full heal, the boost wouldn't be granted as well. They probably realised that if they required the target to be paralysed, then they needed to remove status immunity from the objectives so they changed it up completely, that's what I think.
@@user-27126 I mean even if this wasn't a buff, look at the rest of the patch, ceruledge was doing fine, in the previous patch blaziken and mimikyu were doing fine and still got buffs, and now tell me the last time you remember a machamp, garchomp, aegislash and lucario buff
Im still a Aqua tail enjoyer, I do really good on aqua tail and people always excpect dragon breathe so when they see a really good aqua tail they get caught off guard.
Aqua tail is nice but I wish it either didn't get unterrupted by stuns or could be stopped and started several times within the time frame like greedent's bullet seed, so that even the tiniest stun doesn't ruin your entire fight
Haven't tested it yet but I kinda liked the idea of it being slow because if teammates were near you could team up for the KO by holding them relatively still. Not saying I think that's how it should be though lol. That's a Defender's job ;)
I think it got "patched" together with the other bugs in the emergency patch cuz i played it yesterday and definitely felt slower but yet faster than previous patches
This buff is very nice, but it brings up the question of why it was ever based on the number of targets paralyzed in the first place? I feel like number of hits just makes so much more sense
Yeah, muscle band deals additional damage based on your targets hp, which will be capped, but a high basic attack speed allows for more attacks within the duration. Gyarados' standard critical hit ratio is already quite high, you can squeeze in a razor claw or scope lens but muscle band is a must have.
@@pride_mitochondria3921it depends on your setup. I didn’t meant it as in that you MUST have it but just as it’s really good. In my opinion, scope lens is much better than razor claw, you’d only use it on Pokémon that has a boosted basic after a move, like Urshifu and mimikyu.
Crazy, I was able to see why they didn't allow it before but I always thought it'd be nice to rip down objectives as Gyarados. That said, maybe they should nerf the damage of the Dragon Breath itself and make it harder to evolve into Gyarados again.
Heavily debating buying Gyarados because of your recent vids. I have 50k coins and nothing I really want to spend them on at the moment. Waiting for Armarouge and seeing what the next release will be.
50k is enough to get several licesnes, if armorouge is the only other one you're interested in you should be fine. Maybe hold onto a few thousand for rerolling dice in the ho-oh event though

Thank goodness for Gyarados. All these fire types need to be put out somehow
Am I the only one who thought it was a bug that gyarados would get slower attack speed when hitting objectives with dragon breath?

Underated buff is machamp submission. They secretly sped up the animation for tossing them so it feels a little less clunky
