Dr. Quentin Lee knew whom he could rely on when he was a student, his band leader Mr. Cobb. Mr. Cobb went out of his way to mentor Quentin, helping him apply for college and even driving him to auditions. What Quentin took away from this went beyond tangible benefits; the relationship forged between him and Mr. Cobb made him feel seen, respected and invested-in. Today, as a principal and school administrator, Quentin sees firsthand the impact meaningful relationships can have on students.
