My favorite part of this scene is that Davros has a smug smile like he’s gonna be able to pull “Freddy’s family” and talk his way out in the split second before he’s shot
"Want a smoke?"
Best line of the 2000s
showed this clip to a mate without any context towards the storyline and he loved it.
plays out like a short film.
all the little details, like ray throwing the dirt into a pile that protects him from the blast
I love that Ray is not scared. He knows he's not the one dying today.
This show is the best thing you've never seen
Should be up there with breaking bad and sopranos. So good.
Ray is the man
This show is amazing.
A one eyed man now. He got Negan'd
Australian comedy is the greatest i swear...when Davos asked Ray how his doing and Ray did the same was fucking funny..."How u been mate"..."good good"..."Thats the way".....just a kid from SoCal
It's so true i'm from France and i was not used to the aussie accent and slang but damn, nearly every lines of dialogue makes me laugh out loud
If you like Australian comedy, then I recommend watching this movie called "the castle" it's a national treasure
@@TJ-fe7rr I'm looking it up right now...
I heard socal was basically third world now.
Asking 'how you been' is comedy? Holy shit, we really are hopeless.
The facial acting is next level, honestly. Whoever cast this guy needs a raise.
How I wasn't aware of these series is a mystery. I came across Mr. Shoesmith only because I've seen some shorts on YT and the scene with an ice cream. I got sucked into it and watched it all in few days. Brilliant show, brilliant acting. Please, please do more series in the future. We want more Ray.
The guy playing Ray is not an actor. He's an ordinary bloke from Australia. He will never act again. This was a one shot deal. Legend!
He's definitely an actor/writer/director who had a "one-shot deal" in 2005 and then made a further 3 series from it 12 years later.
Fabulous writing, terrific casting, stellar attention to detail. I blew through this entire show over a weekend.
*_TRUST !!_*
Half aussie
The dialogue with the biker and the buried money and Ray refusing to let him dig it up. Makes a lot more sense after this episode.
One of the BEST written shows ever made. It deserves so much more than it got.
Masterpiece of a show. More seasons please
this is my favorite scene in any TV show ever.
the safe is a rise ray uses in case he is captured. it plays out over a couple of episodes. it shows how smart ray is and how he is always planning ahead.
it's funny because someone else in prior episodes offers a bunch of money to save themselves and Ray's like NAH.
in your mind it's like "why not take the money and blast him anyway"
this. this is why
This is why the scene where they go to kill the VP of the biker gang and he accepts going to dig up his 650k urked me. The only inconsistent thing in the show
@@leighcarolan6429 yeah except in that situation Ray is not paid to clip him. When he is paid to kill the prez, he does not accept the money.
Please bring this show back. GREAT show.
I love it that Ray speeds up his digging when the safe arrives.
Little things:
Guy is cutting the box open
Ray is digging faster than when he started, keeping an eye on the box.
I like how he put the pile of dirt between himself and the bomb, for some level of protection.
The question i have is....torch...bomb....torch didnt blow up the bomb but moving the side of box did?
@@danielthompson2299 plastic explosive, like most high explosives doesn't detonate from heat. it needs a combination of heat and pressure in order to reach detonation velocity. its why soldiers in vietnam and other conflicts would take pieces of the explosives from their claymore mines and use them as a ration heater because it would just burn even when wet but there were problems when soldiers went to step/stomp out the flame when they were done using it.
@@lewiscopland4568 he was digging a foxhole.
@@danielthompson2299 Bomb was a pressure activated device.
The smile while digging a foxhole (Grave) is amazing
Loved Dave as soon as he showed up
I came on here trying to promote this. Finally, Aussie made gem of a series but I was three years too late
This is absolutely one of the best shows, ending of season 3 was so bad ass, Ray is a combo of a wolf and a rat you can’t kill him. Run
Somebody might die out here tonight, eh Dill?
And with that, their fate was sealed
Love how that davros is all friendly, and then his brother is mad at him!
Ray was grinning while digging the hole too funny
They need to make another series this outstanding .
2:18
Who smiles that they are getting killed and robbed besides ray gotta love the show for that 😂
When Ray flashes that smile, you better run for cover!
One of the best shows I've seen In a while.
Yeah I’m giving this a watch. Every clip I’ve seen of this show is class
Dave ended up owing Ray, and was faithful until his death.
3:25 Ray touches dave’s leg on the way up like _you’re good man don’t worry_
pure gem this show was
Love that series Mr Inbetween
0:27 the way he smirks when asking Ray to dig a hole. As if he thinks he’s got one over on Ray is great
It’s funny thinking about how Ray thought ahead and had that rigged safe on standby in case he ever got kidnapped lmao
man I wish we could get a season 4 or a spin-off that would be nice , also poor bobby
The Magician (2005) Based on events prior to this show.
@@rado9230And the actor of Ray actually directed it
“I should have fucking clipped you.” That was so funny.😂
"you fuckin"
They got fragged. Great show. I've been seeing these clips on youtube and found the series on Hulu. Real good
love that he starts digging quicker once the "special" safe comes out of the car
"Oh fuck, oh fuck. I might actually make it out. Dig! Dig!"
This scene put me onto the show. No regrets. Amazing shit
This is a hidden gem of a show
One of the best crim on crim scenes ever
This show is bad-ass. Love it.
I like that when Ray accelerates digging the hole before the explosion 😂
3:45 Too quick.
Face shot for a closed casket. Last thing his family will see is a monstrously deformed face
After the impact, it mushrooms and expands. Air gets pushed everywhere. Certain parts inflate to 300% normal size. Sometimes an eye pops out.
Best show ! Thanks Scott ! 👍
This show is a masterpiece. It will forever be a sleeper that people stumble across and feel like they’ve just found buried treasure.
This show was SOOOO good.
Ray Shoesmith and the series is absolutely brilliant
Best Aussie show ever made
ray knew that dave is a guy that can be useful and has a life just like himself. So he decided to not to kill him instead he recruited and gained his loyalty and trust with not killing him right there when he had the opportunity.
When I saw this scene on TH-cam I immediately tracked down the series and got me subscription to watch it.
Bloody marvellous Ray you are a LEGEND wollongong sorry for the spelling Mate my Dad's best Mate Clillf x
its about time us Aussies made another good show
I love this show I just finished the 1st season best thing I've watched for years.
Brilliant series
Cut to short. Want a smoke was good, but it was pure magic when he rummaged through the pockets and tossed Davros keys to Dave. Could watch this show on repeat for decades and it would never get old.
I saw a clip on TH-cam and liked it.... I randomly went into Hulu a month later and there it was. Safe to say I binged the GOD DAMN FUK out of it
Wow i just noticed you can see ray smile we the dude goes to the car!
One of the best tv series
This show was amazing.
I loved this show and was so disappointed when the series abruptly ended.
It's come back for series 3
I’m so sad and gutted it’s only 3 seasons! Wish it was more! Definitely looking forward to more of Scott Ryan’s stuff!
Great series. Finished it last week.
Why is this guy not on MORE Aussie and international TV????? He played a brilliant part in a show that he wrote!!!! Why are we not seeing more of his talent??? Farking Australian TV...... the people who run the joint wouldn't know a great product even if it jumped up and bit them on the arse!!!!! (Just look at the comments below to know how good this actor and his show is.)
The background noise is perfect tinnitus
And then they were friends for life.
And an unlikely friendship is born ❤
