    As a dietitian, I work with individuals to balance blood sugar levels, maintain hormone balance, and
    achieve weight loss! We do this by following low net carb, high lean protein, high fiber, and omega-3 fats! Often, I am questioned by clients, ‘Can I still eat my favorite foods?’ and more diabetic slow cooker, diabetic slow cooker recipes, diabetic slow cooker meals often ‘What can a prediabetic eat?’ The most important question I am asked is on reversing prediabetes. You should be thrilled to learn that we can reverse prediabetes and we can reverse prediabetes naturally.
    As a dietitian, my clients are constantly asking for easy ways to make diabetic vegetable recipes.

    Roasted Green Beans
    1 lb fresh green beans
    2 tbsp olive oil
    Seasoning of choice
    Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
    Wash and trim green beans.
    Place on pan.
    Pour olive oil on beans. Sprinkle seasoning. Toss.
    Roast for 15-18 min.
    Serve.
    Nutrition Facts:
    Calories: 53
    Total Carbs: 5.2 grams
    Fiber: 2 grams
    Net carbs: 3.2 grams
    Cabbage Recipe for Diabetics
    1 head of cabbage OR 2 pkgs of shredded cabbage
    1 onion, chopped
    ¼ cup olive oil
    1 tsp Redmond Real Salt
    Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Line a pan with non-stick aluminium foil.
    Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
    Pour on lined pan.
    Roast for 30-35 minutes (stir halfway through).
    Serve.
    Roasted Asparagus for Diabetics
    1 lb fresh asparagus
    2 tbsp olive oil
    Seasoning of choice
    Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
    Wash and trim asparagus.
    Place on pan.
    Pour olive oil on beans. Sprinkle seasoning. Toss.
    Roast for 15-18 min.
    Serve.

    I just heard that if you put a piece of bread in your mouth when you cut onions it stops the tears. Yes, it's OK to laugh and I'm going to try it. So glad I discovered your videos. Having my thyroid removed due to cancer and also being newly diagnosed as pre-diabetic, I'm thrilled for the recipes you're sharing!

    What about those Chopper's. You cut onion in half then stick it chopper . Chops it evenly. I hate the way my eyes burn! Thanks Shelly Jennifer 😊

    Some say that if aluminum foil is heated in high temp it leaches toxic substance. I guess it's better to use parchment paper. I love your recipes. I'll try it because I'm pre-diabetic.

    I make very similar recipes but use the air fryer. It takes less time and they have a much better texture!

    Cutting onions without crying. Remove the middle part without cutting it. As long as you remove those parts u will not cry again

    With so many processed oils now including olive oils….maybe try melted butter, lard or beef tallow for. 100% clean oil on the cabbage and onions…etc ❤ new to the channel today and just shared it as well. 😊

    put your onions in the refrigerator and you won't cry. Aloha from Hawaii. I'm the dishwasher so I try not to use a lot of dishes too.

    Mandolin would work for onion slices. I just don’t want another kitchen do-dad.

    Foil😂. One chef said use a sharp knife. A dull knife crushes the onion causing watery eyes.

    How do you know if your getting a pure olive oil? I have heard that there are some that are not pure.
