I continue to really enjoy your style and energy. I too like the behind the back catch. Nice. I must try and see if I might learn some similar move when I can get outdoors again after winter is finished here in Edmonton, Canada. Cheers!!

That throw is so fun. It's new to my flow, I totally pinched it from Michelle C Smith.
Last training session in the park, I was actually working on the same thro, but catch mid cartwheel, instead of while bending forward. It's super hard. Haven't done it once yet. Definitely something to look forward to when training is back on. To cold here to get out. Atm.
      Keep training. Make more videos!

Quality, an epic sequence indeed! Awesome behind the back horizontal catch. I enjoy those, have a variant of my own.

Thanks. Yes, the btb catch is awesome. Totally new to me, only started doing them recently, when I saw Michelle C Smith do one in a video. Very cool. I am working on doing that same throw catch, but catch while mid cartwheel. Deffo needs way more practice. Lol.
Would love to see the variations on this catch you do! I'll hunt for your vids tomorrow. If you can link too, that'd be great.

@@britishogo Right on. I haven't any vids of mine so far. Was working it about 7 years ago when I set the craft aside for other priorities. I did some fire knife performances back in 2011ish, in the research I picked up some horizontal tricks that were pretty slick. I hope to make a vid of horizontal throw stuff one day when I can in the spring, maybe sooner if I can find somewhere to practice. I have a handful of old vids on my channel still that you might like tho.
I'll keep checking out your content, great work!

Where did get your staff? I can't find a good staff for contact improv.

    • @britishogo
      @britishogo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

I make all my own staffs. I sometimes do sales on custom build, per order basis. I'm based in the UK.
I make both beautifully coloured practice staff with either carbon fibre or aluminium core. And aluminium fire staffs. I use high quality Space grade aluminium with 7075-T6 rating.
The grip I use is my own grip, which is eco-friendly, sustainably sourced natural rubber, with non-toxic dye. Deals really well with sweat, dust and humididy. Only downside is it wares out quickly due to the lack of crude oils (plastic). I get anywhere between 6 - 10 months on my grip. Depends on play style, staff weight and care. I have the grip available if a range of colours.
      Practice staffs:
      £85 19mm aluminium core
      £130 22mm carbon fibre core
      Fire staffs:
      £90 flat wick wrap
£130 - 150 rope weave depending on length
      Flowers are + £10
They help slow the roll down, making harder tricks and training more accessible.
Lengths can be up to 150cm
(recommended 140cm for practice aluminium, and big wick fire staffs. 150cm for carbon fibre practice staffs)

Thanks so much. It is not sped up, only speed adjustments are the beginning to make it snappy, and recovery from drops.

Hey. I live in the UK. Typically we use C1 Paraffin. It is not great, very smokey, slippery, oil based, smells. But it's cheap, and very safe to use.
