Recently I ended up at a gathering of 50 or so Fire Toy enthusiasts and it opened my eyes to what is possible with the contact staff. Can you recommend a good bo staff for contact bo staff tricks? looks like you don't use a tapered one...I have a rattan one...that is straight but it's kind of bumpy...
