Yes it fits. Don't be fooled. TV shows always like to find the smallest most quaint village and narrowest street to make this look funny but it's getting boring to see. The fact is UK main roads for the most part are exactly the same width as in the USA and I've driven extensivly in both countries. Two, four, six and eight lane roads have lanes to accommodate an artic (semi in US money) and they're the same width in both countries. Also little villages in the UK all manage to be served fine by 7.5 tonne trucks and things like Sprinter vans which are all in the same size bracket as this thing. With around the same footprint.
@@typhoon-7 People complain it's big for a personal vehicle but i've seen raptors on almost single track roads in southern Italy with only a scrap on the mirrors from tree branches. If an arctic truck (as shown on the top gear tv series this season) can navigate small villages then a truck like this is no sweat. It's not the truck that's the problem, it's the driver not being confident or skilled enough to drive it.
C’mon someone spent a ton of money getting that truck to the UK and that’s all you did with it? Prove that a huge truck doesn’t fit on small roads and that a 1,000 hp supercharged V8 truck on 37in mud tires gets poor gas mileage? The truck is meant to be ridiculous. So much more you could’ve done with it I hope there’s more videos to come.
Proper machine, UK reviews always bias towards US cars. They said automatic cars was no good and now All Euro marques make auto's. How big are Range Rovers?? How Wide are Some Ferrari's and Lamborghini's. If this Truck said Audi or BMW badge the size would not be an issue. Euro cars very pricey and they never moan about fuel on Supercars and maintainance costs. Yank iron stand out not blend and look boring UK cars and Euro cars do.
Im British and I completely agree, American cars don't get enough credit espically in the handling department. Lots of people still think they're cool AF and have a unique charm though
I think that's why they put the most powerful rather than the fastest. The r1t has 908 ft lbs vs 960 for the Mammoth. Official figures for 0-60 for the Mammoth is 3.2 seconds, the figures for the r1t is 3 flat. Figures I've found for the 1/4 mile are all over the place for the r1t but generally around the mid 11s, official figure for the Mammoth is 11.4. I would say a drag race between the two would very much come down to the drivers.

The best Rams for towing have the Cummins. I had one of the first 5.7 Ram 1500s (2003.5) and it was okay for power, but quite thirsty. Trading for the 2500 with the Cummins was only a mistake because I should have gone 3500.

Just be happy that whoever let you use the truck didn’t leave the tow mirrors in the upwards position. I usually drive my RAM 1500 with them up, and granted in the states I have plenty of room, but every once in a while when I have to drive into NYC, it’s heart attack central trying to avoid semi trucks or the bus. And my truck isn’t even as wide as the TRX. But damn do I want one!
I have driven my (now gone) Ram 2500 with 7" lift on 37s in Manhattan many times with the mirrors up. That's the only way that you get decent visibility with them. New Yorkers aren't used to seeing a 7.5 foot tall pickup coming at them and tend to get out of your way.
The old TG, captain slow would have mocked the Truck as being too American, loud and impractical, Hammond would have loved it, for the same reasons and Clarkson could have loved or hated the truck but would have been witty about it. They were great because depending on your personality, you agreed with one of them and maybe all of them in some cases. I love it. I don’t think I’d ever want one, and I love that it exists. It’s everything it should be.
I can't wait for the Raptor with the GT500 engine.
What a awesome truck
Other than the fuel cost this is one hell of a vehicle money can buy it can do everything better then almost any car
I remember when the ram srt10 was the quickest truck in the world but this has double the power
I’m digging this guy more and more. The truck is crazy
Dodge RAM's, F-150's, Silverados etc are great in the USA and look perfectly normal. They are just too big for UK roads though.
All vehicles are too big for the uk .... small place, with small cars. Not a knock on it, just things are different in different places. He sounds like if a Texans were to review a snowmobile... it just wouldn't matter
@@rustyshackleford8149 Have you ever been to the UK? It sounds like you have only seen a video clip of a country road.
@@ruk2023-- been to Cambridge, and on a trip stayed in London for a short bit. Not that it's any of your Fukien business.
Edit: the point was, that full sized American vehicles (trucks, suburbans) wouldn't fit in that great in most parts of the world. Would they work? Sure, but most cities are not designed for that size of vehicle. Have you ever been to .......... blah blah?
Half tons are the smallest of the full-size pickups.
Today I learned the UK doesn't have road space for big trucks like Texas.
Can't even imagine a dually trying to drive over there lol
These Chrysler's Cars are the last generation of true power, muscle and funny Cars, with the new generation of electric Cars it Will not be the same any more. 😢
Bogus. Just elect a bunch of new politicians and watch everything do an about-face.
Perfect for putting a snow plow on. Lots of torque. Reserves to the max.
I can’t believe that truck fits on your British roads 😂🤯 that thing is a beast! It’s a little absurd… but why not 🤘🔥 I would love to see a twin turbo kit, or even put turbos on with the supercharger 🤷
It does take the whole road, almost.
Imagine a pro-charged Dodge RAM 😝
@@dodo19923 Exactly. It appeals to the American misconception that "Europe is nothing but tiny twisty roads". Yawn.
The part of this video I particularly liked was the cabin and equipment review.
Yeah, this is meant to destroy the desserts of the American southwest at 90mph. Very much out of its element in the UK.
I destroy desserts after every dinner - I don’t need 1000+ hp to do it.
Love this beast! Only wish you'd done a tour of the interior.
Would have certainly appreciated a few off road shots
The spiritual successor of the SRT10 ram
its actually a different engine. its not the stock 6.2 but the 7.0L hellephant crate engine swap.
What a beauty! These trucks are really something else!
Take it up that Scottish mountain Clarkson took the Land Rover up
That's a monster truck indeed!
my dream truck 🛻 if I can have this beast I would do 3 jobs to keep up with the fuel ⛽️ I wouldn't complain ❤
Where do you live
@@larisawade3597 Australia 🇦🇺 to expensive 😅😅
Loved his way of express 🔥
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Seeing American trucks in Europe just looks so cool 😍😍
Would love to this Truck up against a Rivian R1T in a drag race, to see if it really is the fastest truck in the world!
I swear England is so beautiful…
Wait, in the U.K. you pump first and pay second....what?!
Unless it’s late at night when most garages make you pay first. We have a crime in Britain called Bilking, it mostly refers to driving off without paying for fuel.
It’s like that in most of Europe. You know, the logical way. Because how do you know how much you’re going to spend.
what country does it the other way around??
@@FamousDMagnificent You register your card with the pump, fill up and it charges the card. Not too tough and you don't have to stand in line to pay an attendant.
@@aadi8568 Canada and US both do pay at the pump.
I loved you review on the TRX you compare that with the best cars in the world it is today's time
The standard 5.7 hemi with e-torque is the best of the bunch - if you want the off-road look then get a rebel
Pretty sure my mate regrets chopping his 2021 5.7 in for the TRX
As he does a lot of towing he particularly misses the air suspension
My old 2015 5.7 hemisport was the best vehicle I have ever owned - 80000 miles in 3 years and only 1200 quid spent on maintenance a jeep main dealer
The best Rams for towing have the Cummins. I had one of the first 5.7 Ram 1500s (2003.5) and it was okay for power, but quite thirsty. Trading for the 2500 with the Cummins was only a mistake because I should have gone 3500.
The Texas plate is just perfect
“Nothing this big should be able to move this fast”
That is not a phrase uttered at Chrysler. The only thing they haven't put a Hellcat in is a minivan.... yet.

I WANT ONE!! 🤤
"The American dream, I think I'll like to wake up tho" couldn't be more mocked at. 😂🤣🤣💔
The most outrageous thing is how he keeps calling it a car lol
I think the parking is strictly a UK issue.
I OWN ONE! wouldnt trade it for just about anything, fuel is nearing 6 bucks a gallon for 92 oct, but for me its about power and smiles per gallon, and its my daily driver :)
California?
I saw one of these perfectly parked at a restaurant in northern Texas.
I’d happily take £1.75 a litre just now. It almost cost me the same amount to fill my small diesel van 😟
Diesel is $4 a gallon (0.84 GBP per liter) here in Maryland at the moment and we are pissed off that it is this expensive. Four years ago we were paying $2.59 (0.55 GBP per liter).
It's not a Dodge. Has not been called Dodge since 2009. It's just a Ram.
I have a first gen Raptor and it’s a beast. I want this thing though hahaha
You cant review a special vehicle lie this as if it was a common car, it's not a Kia, it's not a BMW or a Ferrari,, it is unique and people will buy it because if is unique and exclusive and in your face.
Yep, they should have done something outrageous with it. It's a screaming yellow fullsize truck with 1000HP.
What is your take on the Hellephant engine from Mopar? It's 7 liters with a 3 liter supercharger if I remember correctly. The sound is also more aggressive. It can reach 1200 HP.
Imagine this getting in a head on with a compact hatchback. I guess you can buy a license to kill.
0:18 - Forza Horizon 4 bridge 😀
No it ain’t
top gear is nothing without its iconic presenters, downright impossible to watch
come on top gear.. its 2023 you should know by now its no longer dodge ram, they've been separate entities for over a decade now. its just ram
This is a joke in today’s world 🌎
It's the step bro of Ford raptor which was reviewed by the best holsters of TG on a Rescue Hammond mission 6years ago. Man I miss those 3guys.
Ram is a brand, it's not a Dodge.
seeing someone from the UK drive a pick up is hilarious 😂
It seems like every time I tune in to TopGear there is someone.... unfamiliar to me hosting the production.
It's the most English review for an American truck I have ever seen.
Raptor R is going to heat things up.
When are you guys doing a First Drive for the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V in England?
