fun fact: apparently Paris was nearly begging for the role of Amber in Repo because she said she deeply identified with the character, which leads me to believe she's more self-aware than we give her credit for
Oh she's come out and said her dumb act was just an act
She was also in Supernatural and was actually funny in it
@@Josep_Hernandez_Lujan honestly she was the best part of Repo, I think she only got hate because people love to hate her lol
She is suuuper self aware. She has even said that her vocal fry is all part of a 'character'
That's hot was her catchphrase around that time. Started on that show with her and Lionel richies daughter
i like how Elvis thinks we wouldn't listen/watch him for three hours straight talk about Paris Hilton movies
I'm disappointed he had such little faith. Id have watched the shit out of a 3 hour Paris Hilton movie review lol
🧡🦇
I don’t. Because it means we won’t get to.
right like that would be the best vid ever
Lmao true
"I'm not going to go as in depth in these movies as I normally would". That's good Elvis, you need to pace yourself
Y DO I ALWAYS SEE COMMENTS QUOTING THINGS EXACTLY AS THEY ARE SAYING IT.
matrix confirmed. my life is a lie.
@@zyourzgrandzmaz I have had this happen to me on hour long videos, definitely a little creepy
True, though I wouldn't mind a 3-hour long video with Elvis actually going in depth with these movies.
Yeah.
Love your kitty pic. Looks like my cat, Fork.
"Their mother was a wax artist and their father was extremely abusive"
Ah yes, my favorite occupation
I thought that was weird, but the mother is the one shown slapping the daylights outta the kid. They were both abusive.
Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!
I'm a certified child abuser 👍
@@blueismylove3128 she always had the money to afford therapy as an adult
@@jacobmassey3897 I think it's important to highlight therapy wasn't always the "therapy" it is today. It's only recently that we've began to really understand mental illness. I very much doubt she would have received proper care instead of just being locked in a loony bin.
Okay but "that's hot" is Paris's actual catch phrase.. Like, she has merch with that phrase.. People tend to forget when they make fun of her while wearing shirts with Homer's face and "doh" on it
It’s funny cause she acted dumber than she actually is, and people laugh at the persona while she’s running a business and the other stuff she does, like sing and DJ
@@tgiacin435 I mean, she wouldn't have had all that opportunity w/o Hilton money. I'm not so sure she was ultra-bright to begin with, but, yes, she has pretended to be a DJ, etc. Anyway, good for her. But she's not some secret genius. She just came out as a normal person and people were surprised
@@tgiacin435 We don't know if she really runs that business. It's pretty common for celebrities to simply be the face of a company. She didn't study business or any career in College. A lot of people claim that she faked her DJing. All I know is that the only reason she's successful is because of her family.
@@dormetheus she hasn't pretended to be a dj, she actually was a dj...
@@queerlibtardhippie9357 Well, when she started, there's definitely some video of her fumbling around faking with the equipment and a dude under / behind the table mixing and switching the music
I Still argue that Paris was the only character that didn't deserve to die in House of wax.
For a typical "blond" girl, she did really well, especially for a horror movie with two killers. I thought she would be the first die and not even try to fight back
I watched it because of it lmao
I watched it because people wouldn't shut up on how "bad" it was. But I was pleasently surprised that infact, it's actually pretty good, and Paris was fine in it. She does deliver a solid performance, at least for mid 2000's horror standards.
I'll always remember when she died in that movie (a spear through her head and she fell over and her head like slid down the poll) the entire audience ERUPTED with cheers and clapping. Was a hilariously organic theatre moment I still remember to this day. To be honest, I quite like the movie and have seen it a few times since.
actually wild how people thought that movie was bad back in the day just because Paris Hilton was in it. Its not an award winner but deadass, its lasted as one of my fav slasher movies for me, it literally has everything in it
About REPO and Paris:
My brother in law's friend, Joey went to college with Terrance (Grave Robber), and he actually did work on the film with Terrance as a favor since they're friends... Well apparently, the budget was running super slow, and they didn't know how they were going to fill in things like - costume, make-up, and other misc. items and extras.
So Paris Hilton stepped in and funded them, as well as donated her own personal clothing line to the extras in order to get that luxury feel to it that they were looking for. She let them all keep the outfits at the end of it, and asked for nothing in return -- she just wanted to support the film.
According to Joey, she is really smart, and insanely funny. She made fun of herself and her past, and was very supportive to the whole film, despite her only being in it for a little. After hearing this from Joey, I've completely changed my opinion about her. According to many many many theater people I ran into in 2010 who helped with the film, Paris Hilton is the epitome of awesome, kind, and humble. She literally had to use the dumb-chick thing in order for people to even give her a chance to show off her skills. She's just as successful as her parents in business and class.
I had hated her my entire life until Joey and his friends blew my mind, and then I was like "OMG..She's a princess!! 9_9".
(Also - I love REPO! You suuuuuck!! >:P (Just kidding! I know it's one of those cult classics, you love it or you don't!
I've heard stuff like this too and im glad she did that i like repo (ASH needs more musicals i want footage of him in rocky horror) and i know several people that love that movie
It's terrible lol I hated every single second of that shit show musical. Cringe. Made by a goth 15 year old
Dude,I LOVE Repo!always have,and that's a cool story to read,props to her for that!
All these 'blonde bimbos' from the 90s/00s turned out to be really nice people. Britney Spears and Pamela Anderson both went from sex icons to loving mothers who hoped for romance their entire lives. None of this egotistical onlyfans/influencer type crap.
@@Pendji You're kinda contradicting yourself here. You can't say Britney, Paris and Pamela grew as people and then judge influencers for what they are now
I think the neat part of House Of Wax was that the town wasn’t designed to be real, but was the attraction.
Each of the people in town are either real, or were part of the attraction initially.
It helps makes sense of the wax museum…… melting.
Hello I like dinosaurs 🦕 did you know the brontosaurus never actually existed, it’s actually a dinosaur found much earlier called Apatosaurus 🦖 palaeontologist didn’t relies it was the same species 🦕 🦕 🦕

As a former teenage girl with bad teeth (because my parents couldn't afford braces), I appreciate your criticism of how the "nottie" is portrayed.
My teeth could've be fixed with braces. I needed to get my whole jaw reconstructed and my dad couldn't afford it. 23 and it still my biggest insecurity
@@akinah3827 ok as a girl with bad teeth as well you're both beautiful
I'm currently a teenage girl and I'm dealing with the same thing.
The fact she’s been playing dumb blonde ditzy and fooled the whole world for so long switching voices and all was crazy for me. She is much more self-aware than I ever thought she would be.
Paris Hilton feels like such a call back to 1930s Hollywood, even though she wasn’t around for it. Not really a big actor or director or anything. Just a famous socialite who brushes the right shoulders and is iconic through appearance/lifestyle.
Sort of like Zsa Zsa Gabor. She was a socialite in the 1930s whose extravagant lifestyle launched her acting career. Later in life she garnered this reputation of being famous for being famous.
@Coolgamer127 a millionaire daughter probably has higher standards than you lmao
@Coolgamer127 Kinda rude especially when we are talking about major violations of privacy. It doesn’t matter though she would have been famous anyway. She would be like Dorris Duke. A famous socialite because she’s extremely wealthy and beautiful.
@Coolgamer127 Dude, that doesn’t even make sense. She was born insanely wealthy, why would she have ever had to do what you’re insinuating? Use your brain.
@@toyamwarr pretty sure she was married to a Hilton at one point or her sister was.
The Hottie and the Nottie is obviously awful, but to be fair, June should really be taking better care of herself, if not for attractiveness, then for her health. Boogers could be washed and nasty teeth can be brushed, hair could be conditioned and she should really see a doctor about the rotting toenail, toe fungus isn't a joke. The doctor could also probably help with the acne.
Ayy respect on the self care tho the movie was shallow but hell ya self love
They had to use those "ugly" traits in order to have the girl "pretty" by the end, because if they used an actress who had traits you can't change (like bone structure, mild bow legs that you won't operate, crooked nose, size of eyes or ears etc) then they'd fail at their "transformation". It would however make for a far, far more interesting & inclusive film.
@@Mintylight It was a Paris Hilton flick. It was never going to be inclusive. But I do see your point.
Indeed. It's one thing to be body positive, but one should never ignore they're health.
Some people have skin diseases that make it almost impossible to take care of yourself. I've had the worst acne when I was a teenager and I took great care of my skin and was on a vegan diet, so it's not like you can always look good if you take care of yourself. Of course, it's always worse if you don't take care of yourself, but there are many people that take care of themself 10 times more than you, but still look like that. Also many threatments cost a lot of money, so for example I didn't treat my acne scars until I was 22, because then I had enough money, because I was lucky enough to get a well paid job.
Funny thing: I once downloaded “Batman begins” off limewire when it came out in theaters but instead it was the first scene of House of Wax. I spent years thinking it was the beginning of Batman Begins until I finally bought the DVD 😂. I was a dumb teen lol.
Limewire was the shit
The guy getting his Achilles clipped in House of Wax to keep him from being able to run away has traumatized me my entire life, lol. I still find it uncomfortable walking down open stairs that I can't see under as I go down them :P
I'd avoid the original "Pet Symetary" then.
And Child's Play 2. Haha!
And hostel
I know how you feel not to that extreme but yeah
I know how you feel not to that extreme but yeah
About the town in house of wax, I think they actually say in the movie or perhaps I read it somewhere, that the town was actually abandoned when Bo returned to it and convinced Vincent to start kidnapping and turning people into wax…so everyone that’s been turned into a wax figure is people that were lured to the town by the third brother.
Yep that's pretty much what happened, I found this about Ambrose on the HOW wiki, which goes into more detail:
"The new highway in 1995 cut off direct travel through town, and the sugar mill where Bo (assumingly) worked closed down stated later by the officer Carly and Nick spoke to. This sugar mill was closed for 10 years. Isolated from the outside world, Bo started picking off the last few remaining people in town and his brother covered up the crimes by turning the bodies into figures,"
The toenail in the mouth part scarred me, I can’t stop thinking about it and I want to die now.

I was OBSESSED with Repo! The Genetic Opera, and the music still slaps. I cosplay Pavi a lot.
Pavi was my man back in the day lmao. I was a weirdo but I was definitely obsessed with the movie too tho.
Please marry me 🧡🦇
That is awesome!
I love the movie too.
*Repo: The Genetic Opera!* in the thumbnail? Heck yeah, dude. Can’t wait to hear what you have to say about it.
I wonder what your thoughts are on his opinion of the movie lol
His opinion made me saaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. I love that movie!!!
@@StarParticleShade lol, this, i was so sad but fair, i suppose.
Interesting concept, but NOBODY in that movie could actually sing
Opinions are like buttholes; everybody got em' and they all stink. Skinny Puppy making a movie? Well that's just badass and so is Skinny Puppy. The people who don't "get" Skinny Puppy don't understand what it's all about, so it's not difficult to understand their failure to really appreciate Repo: The Genetic Opera. That being said; I don't blame people for not understanding art like this... it requires a critical mind and a disdain for vivisection. In short, it's not for people who wanna bob their head and tap their feet. There's plenty out there in the world that does that but there's only 1 Skinny Puppy.
Damn, you've hurt my soul. Repo is my absolute favorite musical of all time. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I am a giant fan of both musicals and horror films so I guess it makes sense. And as a none Paris Hilton fan I think she did really great in it.
I still listen to the repo album regularly just because. I bet if more people made goth operas I’d still hold it super high lol
Me too. The music is legitimately good and I feel pity for this dude's lack of taste lol
Repo definitely is the definition of Biopunk
I actually love that movie. The music is great, I like the weird characters, and enjoy the dark take on an opera. It's really not a bad movie
"It has a really creative premise"
"It's unlike any horror movie I've seen"
Is a remake of a remake
A remake of a remake that also borrowed from a Twilight Zone episode.
wait huh
Though, the original didn't have the entire town's residents covered in wax, did it?
@@user-lb9xw4xf2q No, just the museum itself. That's where the Twilight Zone episode comes in.
@@SunnysFilms The 1953 movie came out a decade before the Twilight Zone episode (1963), it was a pop culture reference at the time
I love House of Wax, it has a special place in my heart.
me too! it was the first horror movie I ever watched alone when I was like 6 or 7. for 3 years after it was the scariest thing I had ever seen, I should have started with something a bit less gorey.
Love it. I watched it with my horse riding club and loved it.
That was back when they still made good bad horror movies. It wasn't great, but still had a lot going for it. Decent practical effects as well.
Same. Jared padelecki and that whole cast was amazing. Wholesome horror movie😂
Seriously!!! I love it so freaking much
I know everyone wants to shit on her movies but her acting in house of wax was not that bad… she’s actually pretty convincing of fear or sadness and she cries well! Not a horrible actress
True that! She is not terrible, that horrified expression she makes in the scene where she's being hunted felt so real, she did an amazing job with that. I think it'd be pretty interesting to see her in more horror films
She's been used to playing different personas since Simple Life, so basically she can act.
Okay, the one thing you left out of House of Wax, and this stuck with me because it's such a weird reversal or misunderstanding of tropes...
Paris Hilton's character was supposed to be pregnant. Like, as I recall, a central conflict for her and her boyfriend was that she didn't want s3xytimes because she thought she was pregnant, and it resolves with him being like, "Yeah, I'm not gonna abandon you" and then they both get killed like all of that time and energy building and then resolving their conflict was spent on nothing.
Also it is RARE af that a pregnant character gets killed, except to show some exceptional level of monstrosity for a villainous character. However, the villain was already presented as fairly monstrous, both due to physical deformity, and just encasing so many people in wax.
It's up there with the Jurassic world scene where the secretary lady gets brutally mauled by pterosaurs and then eaten for no reason.
Pre-Supernatural Jared Padalecki is the real star here
I knew I recognised him, I've seen his face grow so much over the 15 seasons I'd recognise the face anywhere.

Chase The Morning is my absolute jam
I love Repo cause it isn't all that talked about it and the goth and rock elements makes me love it, Anthony Stewart Head is always someone I love to see, and I wasn't expecting Paris Hilton in a film about a goth opera but honestly her presence in the film is kinda fun, I can see why people don't really like it with how like 95% of the film is music but that's fine

Repo really is an opera and it's that operatic style I think is very fair to not be everyone's cup of tea. I studied classical singing for years and I loved this film. But I can totally see why you wouldn't and your criticisms are valid
I love repo. It's an opera and with operas not all of the music is gonna be great because they are singing throughout the entire thing, but I live a lot of the songs.
Absolutely loved repo myself. One of my all time favorite musicals. That being said i get the argument about music being bad. Some of the songs were pretty bad but on the flipside i absolutely love other half of them. There are some illogical stuff that takes you out of the immersion even by musical standards. Like the graverobber screaming when he is trying to sneak at the graveyard. But despite the bad stuff its the set design, worldbuilding and overall atmosphere of the film that makes up for all of that for me
Loved Repo when I was a teenager! Haven't seen it in ages but have played + heard remixes of it's tunes at goth/alt clubs (mostly Zydrate Anatomy). There was even a shadowplay show of it in the state I'm from (in Australia), I attended and it was pretty cool seeing it performed live in front of the actual movie.
House of Wax I haven't thought about in ages!! I recall thinking it was pretty awesome.

I absolutely love Repo! The Genetic Opera, but I can also absolutely understand why someone wouldn't. That said, Graverobber is extracting zydrate from the corpses of former zydrate addicts, and he yells GRAVES! to impress Shiloh. And, a bit of trivia, Hilton really really loved the project and paid out of pocket to fund and promote it. House of Wax I enjoyed too, despite it falling prey to some of the more annoying horror movie tropes. It feels like an interesting combination of the original House of Wax and a specific Twilight Zone episode (the title of which escapes me at present). The cops and relatives of the townspeople probably did find out - but didn't live to tell about it because literally everyone who goes through the town is killed and made into wax. There's a bin in the "wax works" building that is FILLED with cellphones that you see towards the end. It pretty much tells you all you need to know.
Repo is my FAVORITE MOVIE. One of my dogs' names is Pavi. This is BLASPHEMY. And Amber CAN'T sing that's the whole irony of her wanting to take over for Mag. All jokes, obviously you're entitled to your opinion, I just really love that movie xD

Also I admit Repos fun but it ain’t a masterpiece, however the creator said they were going for the most outrageous musical they could think of, definitely think he achieved it !
Zydrate anatomy usually gets stuck in my head whenever I think of Repo
@@vicwolfrin for me it’s Night Surgeon
YOU'VE MET BILL MOSELEY AND OGRE??? YOU'RE SO LUCKY OMGGG
@@agusooo YES! They where both so nice! My sister is a HUGE Skinny Puppy fan! She dressed up as Pavi and brought all her albums she’s collected and had him sign them. I was dressed as Luigi and we I met Bill, I had him and Ogre sign a pic of Luigi and Pavi together. They where so cool!
I've met Terrance Zdunich several times at conventions. Huge guy, and oh so sweet
I love Repo! The Genetic Opera. Paris did great in it too, and the music is really catchy.
Ya know I usually have a pretty high pain tolerance when it comes to movies. I’m a bad movie connoisseur you might say. But the first two on this list almost made me click out of the video. I felt my brain cells committing mass unalive with every painful second. I don’t know how you sat through these abominations without completely losing your mind
dude it was just amazing how you explained the house of wax story. completely mangled
Repo: contains the word “opera” in the title.
Elvis: angry that it’s mostly music
I hope he know House of Wax with Paris was a remake of the original.
Finally a comment about the original! I love that movie. Vincent Price is a legend.
Repo is great Elvis, it gets a pass.
The only funny part about the dog and whipped cream scene is that apparently Paris’s character is so bad at oral that it’s indistinguishable from a dog licking whipped cream according to the boyfriends reaction lmao like if your partner slobs on your knob like a dog there’s a problem there
Was listening to my Repo playlist literally few weeks ago... always come back for it, it's like Zydrate)
Repo: The Genetic Opera may be my unironic favorite. Definitely my most rewatched.
You should review “Raw” (2016) It’s about a normal girl who slowly learn that’s she’s a cannibal, it’s so weird
😑 you just fcking spoiled the whole movie
that movie is so good tho i hope if he sees it he doesn't stop at the "cannibalism = bad" level of understanding
I saw Raw at a filmfest in the Netherlands. Before screening, they handed out barfbags as a gimmick.
repo is unironically my favourite film.
Fun fact: Paris Hilton coined the phrase "that's hot"
Yesss! House of Wax is such a good campy horror! I love it and Paris was perfect for the role.
Paris Hilton... PFFT. All I need in my life is some Nicholas Cage
Someone needs to make a movie with both Nic Cage and Paris Hilton in it together. Both high on cocaine fighting off duck monsters or something with 1970's rock kicking off in the background. That would be hot!
Next, talk about Seth Rogen movies! Some of them are so god damn amazing. This is the end, Pineapple Express, Observe and Report, and The Interview are awesome.
If I was him, I wouldn't because the last thing anyone needs is their DMs exploding with Rogen demanding to know if you're Jewish.
@@UnprofessionalProfessor what is this in reference to?
@@wingedfish1175 In reference to Rogen, himself, spamming people on Twitter with the demand to know if they are Jewish. Usually because they made a joke about Nazis...because, of course, making fun of antisemitism is (somehow) antisemitic.
House of wax... What an early 2000s masterpiece
Not gonna lie, Repo had the potential of being sci-fi masterpiece if done correctly. The setting and worldbuilding are awesomely creative.
That fun moment when repo the genetic opera is one of your favorite musical/movies 😭
Really appreciative of Mettaton’s theme as the background music haha
Repo is fricking amazing. It’s so freaking good!
Haha
Guys we need to get Elvis to review the kissing booth 3
Your pfp drives me crazy 😂
I think you mistyped "fucking" there.
House of Wax is one of those movies that holds a strong place in my heart from my childhood days. I'll always see it with rose tinted glasses... So I breathed a sigh of relief hearing that Elvis liked it. I was anticipating much worse. Lol
Thanks Elvis!
I watched part of House Of Wax, from when Wade gets incased in wax til the end, during a hospital visit for a blood clot. I feel more traumatized by that then the actual blood clot.
fun fact: i saw house of wax on tv when i was a kid and since then i have an abnormal fear of people glueing my mouth shut for that
repo the genetic rock opera is a masterpiece 💅
There are literally men who would pay to have Paris Hilton fart on them.
Jesus has not abandoned us, we have abandoned him.
I honestly do not see the appeal to Paris Hilton I do not like long blonde hair I prefer short black hair lol
Are you one of them ? 🤔
For someone type casted as the "hot one" she isn't very hot. Some of those "not girls "were more attractive then her imo. Being skinny and blonde doesn't automatically equal sexy lmao.
Erm akchually, Graverobber screams “graves” because he was trying to impress Shiloh 😌
I love Repo! The Genetic Opera and House of Wax. I love all of the songs, the beautiful singing and the style of it. Repo! The Genetic Opera and House of Wax bring back some good memories for me. 🙂 I really like listening to other people's opinions and perspectives on these movies, too, though. Loved the video! You did an amazing job as always, Elvis. 💗💞
*...It's always funny to me how in road horror movies especially the teen kids / college kids always have these pristine classic built muscle cars.*
