Liked the video, I agree with you on the setups to a certain extent. I don't do setups, I just look for one from the Internet (Jardier) and fiddle with tire pressures for each temp. The reason I said to a certain extent is that I have seen setups literally shave seconds off of my lap time on certain tracks like Spa, Monza and Imola to name a few. It was actually ridiculous. I think once you are messing with ACC, setups are a necessary evil.
Fantastic video, I also suffer from the same pain, but I don't have that much time to practice except on the weekend, keep improving and thank you for the video
Crazy crazy crazy bro I got into serious sim racing around the same time you did And seeing you grow is wild as I was horrible and maybe worse than you, when you started. I try to hop into community races with you guys but I work graveyards so it’s hard… But I do play a lot on forza And I was always unable to complete a race online And now my driver skill level is hovering in the 3k. I appreciate the time I did spend with you guys I feel I got massively better after doing a few sessions with you guys
Well done. Good job on learning to drive over the last couple of months. I've been playing ACC for five years and still bad at it. And already you beat my personal best on Imola and Zandvoort. You matched my best lap time on Paul Ricard which is my favourite track. Those things hurt my pride. At least not once have I been disqualified for speeding in pit lane, haha. I look forward to see you get faster in the next few months and by the end of the year, you will blow past me no problem at all.
7:07 that's why I switched to iRacing, there are fixed setup series for almost every car, so setups don't matter, not even tyre pressure, fuel, nothing. Now, I did 3 years of ACC before that, so I would not recommend you to do the same now, because it's expensive and you want to be 100% sure that you enjoy sim racing until you spend that money on a game.
I do a little Racing at the moment. Like the starting Dirt stuff. I've been enjoying some LFM on Assetto Corsa as well. Fixed Clio and Mx-5 are a blast!
@@Road2Racer oh that's good to hear. The rookie stuff without buying any additional tracks or cars is very good indeed, wish I did this as a beginner, these cars really teach one how to drive
Great video 🤙 Can wait to do some decent online races. Just finished building my first PC, had a crack at ACC and damn it looks great & feels great! Coming from PlayStation. And the sound upgrade surprised me . WOW. Keep it going dude 🤙
You are doing great casey 🔥 i am learning ACC by seeing you and i was one of your earliest subscriber✨ Trying to be more consistent on my youtube channel you are one of the reason i got motivated to jump into sim racing 🏎️
Braking is everything. If someone ask me what is most important setup or THING what makes you a fast driver.....100% braking. Is base of everything on track, its effect corner speed, straight line speed, cars balance, tyres temperature and life, overtake, deffence and list just go on.
"I'm slow as shit". LMAO. No, you're not. Awesome vid. On point from this noobs perspective. I would add, AC on a free roam map is great for helping my IRL brain grok the basic SIM mechanics. As always, thanks! And keep rocking!
Setup topic: I am still running base setup on EVERY track. I just play a little with wing, tire pressure that's it. And I still improve my lap times which means: setup isn't the limit yet in my case. Driving the Ferrari 296 as well. For me it was a big step (game changer) to learn the tracks with a proper safe/but still fast base setup. Which I just need to hack one time each track and than just concentrate on learning the track. Because safe/fast default setups are just BAD, really bad in my opinion and I agree you shouldn't bother to much on setups as a beginner... but if like you said you drive without rear wing... the car isn't really drivable and for me those base fast setup is not good for a beginner and the safe one is so slow that's making you bored just not able to keep a up at all.
Yeah, set ups are only useful when you're good enough to be at the cars limit and you need to squeeze more tenths. 100% standard set ups are just fine.
Man I couldn't agree with you more about "I just don't care/don't want to mess with setups." Been awesome to watch your growth!
Fixed setup for me anyway! Thanks for always tuning in! Excited to see what you make as well!
Thanks Casey.
Your channel and community gave me the confidence to race with other people. I feel waaay more relaxed going into online lobbies now.
Yes! I love to hear that.

For sure! I definitely feel you on Spa. Course is hell for sliding.

Racing is 100% better with community. Thanks so much for setting up this community.
Thanks for being part of it!!

To be fair, I have a ton of free time to play. Lots of hours!

Starting to get a little overwhelmed, until this video! Nicely done put Casey. 😊👍
I think it's best to take a step back sometimes. Sometimes, we make it more complicated than it needs to be.
I was engaged BY this content, and now I'm engaging WITH this content. CAPITAL PREPOSITIONS!
This comment is smarter than I am 🤣
You're referring to fixed setup series. These are available in iRacing. I'd love for them to come to ACC.
Yes! Did Clio in AC today!
It's been awesome watching you get better. And yes the steering wheel being upside down did bother me😅
Haha. I saw it and way like..."my god... I'm not filming it all again." 🤣
Progress has been great Casey, now its only a small case of you doing atleast 45mins around bathurst sunday!!
God help us.
I’m in danger!
Good video. Thank you.
Banger as usual
You're doing great Casey. Day 100 update...with a rap please!
We will see!!!

I do alot of online AC racing! It's great to jump in a Clio Cup time to time and race slower cars.

100%
I SOOOOO wish ACC offered no setup races like iRacing. Use the BOP and then its all driver skill level.
Yeah, my favorite is Clio cups on AC LFM. Fixed setup is king!

yes that upside down wheel did annoyed me.
Sometimes I see those details later and it drives me insane 🤣
Get a Quest 3, EVERYTHING will improve in VR.
Looking forward to trying VR!
Tipp: TURN THAT FOV DOWN!!!
I will once I switch setups! My distance from a small monitor is a pain.
@@Road2Racer otherwise thats a massive improvement Keep going
