no, there is no problem with the driver for this card, it has to do with the age of your hardware, windows updates and more. If you would like me to help you, start a new thread, so that I can see this comment, i had to go in the backend to find this comment.
@I LOVE U SO MUCH Thanks my friend, I do appreciate your kind words. No POST for me after installation, but then changed from straight-thru 8 PIN power cable to multi-drop PCIe cable with a six-pin connector and separate two-pin (to form an eight pin, just from two pieces). That was the trick. All cables came from Corsair RM750e power supply. Working great now. Thanks for the video.

@@ThisBytesForYou Thanks man :) Ive just bought this card & need to swap out my old GTX 1060. I'm not technically minded but can follow clear instructions. The things you didn't do also answered my "do I?" questions.
Yes that is the minimum, I would never use the minumum as the hardware you install, aside from the video card may require more. The recommendation is based on a complete system, not just the card, though they don't say what they call is a complete system. Plus a 500 means next time you upgrade it will be more expensive because you have to buy another power supply. I have some 1200 psus for 15; years going at strong, 2 x 1000 going strong for about 4 years and another 1000watts about about 2 years, buy more than you need now and save later.
so very happy you enjoyed it my friend and found it beneficial, i have a lot more on this coming out soon, just been very sick, but I am getting better.

My temperature is 63F in my house, whats your? The temperature of the card will depend on the ambient temperature of your house and cooling, chances are it will never go below ambient, so if your house is 83F, the card will be around 83F at lowest, does that make sense? Long Lasting, its a decent card today, and this is ENTRY level performance, so it will be decent for a while.

Hey, so first of all thanks for this it was really helpful. Secondly, so in your video you turned on a setting where Windows wouldn’t try and recognize a GPU and try to “fix it”. So I have a Ryzen 3 3200G with Integrated Graphics, and I’m only installing a 6600, not removing a GPU or CPU, so I was just wondering, can I do all the stuff you did before you removed your 3060 after I install my 6600?
Always a pleasure my friend, so very happy you stopped by, trusted in me to help you, liked and subbed as well as took a moment out of your day to thank me. It means a ton to me and I am so very happy I could help you. Also, yes you can, that is a setting in DDU to stop windows from finding the driver, the card will still display with nvidia drivers, it just wont work optimally, so you can then in safemode, remove the drivers like I show you , then in regular mode, install the AMD drivers.
Just wondering, is it not easier to uninstall older drivers by going to the device manager, selecting display adaptors and then Uninstall device inside its Properties window?
No, and it's not you of course but the fact that this still exists is very upsetting. Give that a try, then go back and look in program files, program files x86, programdata, registry, etc, it only gets rid of basic drivers, it doesn't get rid of all of the software that gets installed with that driver install, all the legacy garbage, all the registry entries, etc. it leaves a sloppy mess.

This will answer some of your questins and should help you get up and running. 1. Update your BIOS to the latest version, 4.50 released 2021/8/17: www.asrock.com/mb/intel/b365m%20pro4/index.asp#BIOS (Read the how to updated BIOS document on the site) 2. After you flash your BIOS and can load your machine, shut down your machine, then disconnect all the cables in the back, power, usb, video, ethernet, everything then disconnect the CMOS battery and wait 1 minute, (60 seconds). Then plug all the cables back in and reinsert the CMOS battery and go into the BIOS. 2. Once your BIOS is flashed, load the BIOS, click "Load Advanced BIOS" the manual is not good at describing the bios, so you will have to work in the bios to find hese settings, remember, you have the system, not me. Under DRAM Configuration, Load XMP Settings, load profile 1, this will setup your RAM Under the "Chipset configuration" section, select Primary Graphics Adapter, PCI Expres, Above 4G Encoding, Enable PCIE!Link Speed Gen3 UnderBoot, disable Fast Boot, Disable CSM, Under launch Storage OpROM Policy, select UEFI, Other PCI Device ROM Priority, select EUFI, save and exit and you may need to go back in and set your boot drive. Check out this video, to help with some drivers: th-cam.com/video/8JuC_Dpm6-c/w-d-xo.html Once in windows, now with your new bIOS, try removing the drivers and reinstalling the newest ones. If you are still having issues, make sure you have an HDMi 2.1 cable, this makes a HUGE difference,

all cards will run hot if your system does not have proper cooling or your ambient temperature is high. The 2060 is a great card, a new series is coming out very soon but the 6600 XT and 6600 are good cards as well. The performance of both will depend on how your maintain your system as well. @@AH-wf5ri they are not, the GPU itself might be since it's made by AMD, but the GPU's clock speeds, memory speeds and individual components are not, each company uses their own BOM (Bill of Material) and that can many times make or break a product as well as the cooling solution (heatsinks, heatsink design, IO plate and fans), not to mention the Trixx application is best when used outside of the gigabyte environment. Trixx does not play well in a gigabyte environment, has issues controlling the RGB lighting (I should have asked what board he had). As for looks, that is subjective. I hope that answers your question.
the motherboard cost twice as much as the 6600 now, well not all the x570s, but this EVGA. In start of 2020 I assembled an entire tower p.c build with 500. The monitor, new tower, and few peripherals does cost more to add.

Is it normal that i don't have plastic on my sapphire rx 6600? I just hate it if you buy something new and you get a graphics card like in my case and it's already been unboxed, returned and now I have it...
Awesome my friend, happy you nabbed one. About the LED's no, the Pulse series has always been the budget level GPU, meaning no LED's, no funky designs, no overclock, just a perfectly working, slightly above average video card. This is a decent card, especially in times like this.
So, the card itself doesn't have any lighting effects? Like some Sapphire cards have beautiful lighting effects on their branding text. Also, will it be harmful if I use a Corsair CX450 Watts PSU for this? My CPU is the 5600G and the estimated Power consumption of the entire PC is around 300 Watts.
Pulses do not, Nitro's do, both Sapphire cards, but Nitro have the RGB lighting and better cooling that the Pulse's do, and the higher price tag. As for the power supply, the card calls for at least 500Watts. that does not mean it won't work with a 450, but it does mean 450 may not be enough when you get into games that pull more performance. Estimates are nice, but usually unreal.

Hi im replacing my old GPU because my current one (1050 ti) isnt working, so there is no way for me to unninstal the old drivers. Is this going to be an issue or can i simply remove my old drivers once I install my new 6600?
I just got a new sapphire rx 6600 and I want to know if it's normal for the monitor to not detect the gpu since I didn't know I had to manually uninstall the drivers before replacing the old gpu, also I'm unsure of my pci-e power connections I'm upgrading from an R9 270x, ( yeah I know, it's old), it needs two 6-pin connectors and I'm wondering if I need a dedicated 8-pin as the two cables didn't seem to be working and was wondering if it mattered at all. Also great video btw.
The PCIE cables is where its power from, if they don't work, the card wont work, I highly recommend you get a new power supply, something like this on my amazon affiliate link: geni.us/yycAA, the card requires at least a 500Watt, though I linked up a 600Watt, maybe to give you room to grow, never cheap out on your power supply, I always use at least a 1000Watt, I have had these 3 for about 10 years, never needed to buy another. and thanks for your kind words my friend, so very happy you enjoyed the video. If you like this kind of stuff, I come out with videos weekly, please consider subscribing.
@@ThisBytesForYou I have a fully modular EVGA SuperNOVA 650 watt gold certified power supply, so I should be good but I think it's the power connectors themselves since they have these extra pair of pins that dangle around and I'd a one wire plug into all the pin connecters to the gpu and it wouldn't get recognized by the monitor even though it is receiving power.
@@abyssalknight4081 well, the issue generally occurs with older hardware, motherboard, cpu, etc, being that you had an R9 270, I assume your board and cpu are a little older too, AMD doesnt play well with older hardware. If you followed my guide here on the drivers that should help tons also, using the LATEST HDMI 2.1 standard cable helps tons, this information was provided to my by AMD directly, I didn't believe it myself till I tested it.

thats a nice upgrade, and thanks so much for your kind words. What is the manufacturer and model number of your power supply?
@@ThisBytesForYou Its a EVGA 500 Bronze. The new cards specs suggested a 500 Watt would be okay. Any thoughts..?
Yes that is the minimum, I would never use the minumum as the hardware you install, aside from the video card may require more. The recommendation is based on a complete system, not just the card, though they don't say what they call is a complete system. Plus a 500 means next time you upgrade it will be more expensive because you have to buy another power supply. I have some 1200 psus for 15; years going at strong, 2 x 1000 going strong for about 4 years and another 1000watts about about 2 years, buy more than you need now and save later.

What is the highest temperature for this GPU? In terms of gaming.... Will it be Long lasting?
My temperature is 63F in my house, whats your? The temperature of the card will depend on the ambient temperature of your house and cooling, chances are it will never go below ambient, so if your house is 83F, the card will be around 83F at lowest, does that make sense? Long Lasting, its a decent card today, and this is ENTRY level performance, so it will be decent for a while.

1. Update your BIOS to the latest version, 4.50 released 2021/8/17: www.asrock.com/mb/intel/b365m%20pro4/index.asp#BIOS (Read the how to updated BIOS document on the site)
2. Once your BIOS is flashed, load the BIOS, click "Load Advanced BIOS"
the manual is not good at describing the bios, so you will have to work in the bios to find hese settings, remember, you have the system, not me.
Under DRAM Configuration, Load XMP Settings, load profile 1, this will setup your RAM
Under the "Chipset configuration" section, select Primary Graphics Adapter, PCI Expres,

I’m looking to buy one of these over a 2060 since the rx is cheaper but they all say amd cards are bad and run hot is this true ?
all cards will run hot if your system does not have proper cooling or your ambient temperature is high. The 2060 is a great card, a new series is coming out very soon but the 6600 XT and 6600 are good cards as well. The performance of both will depend on how your maintain your system as well. They are both good cards. I am hoping soon to have a comparative video on 4, stay tuned my friend.
@@ThisBytesForYou thanks bro I’m currently running a 1650 with two fans cooler master fans but I’m buying another since I don’t even have an exhaust fan you reckon that the rx6600 will stay under 80 degrees on 3 fans alone
@@matthewfoxwell5628 I just ordered a Pulse 6600, upgrading from a 1660 Super. The benchmarks I’ve seen from the 6600 blow the 2060 out of the water; and it even trades blows with the 3060. Very good card if you can get a hold of it, imo.
Yup, 6600 is a great card for sure but again, just make sure you have good system cooling.
Thanks a lot! Do you recomend the pulse sapphire or the gigabyte eagle 3 fan? In my country the 3fan gigabyte only costs 10 USD more, thanks!
Sapphire, 100%

This video is very helpful, thanks for that, Subscribed.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support my friend, it means the world to me and I am so very happy I could help you.
the motherboard cost twice as much as the 6600 now, well not all the x570s, but this EVGA. In start of 2020 I assembled an entire tower p.c build with 500. The monitor, new tower, and few peripherals does cost more to add.

hello there, ordered mine yesterday, i'm so hyped!
is there leds on it?
Estimates are nice, but usually unreal.
is it worth upgrading from GTX 1060 to RX 6600 ? what about the radeon driver stability?
Well, the drivers have gotten a ton better, but it really depends on your hardware. An easy way to tell you if you should or shouldn't is to know your hardware. Please list the following
1. Motherboard - manufacturer and exact model number
2. CPU - manufacturer and exact model number
3. RAM - manufacturer and exact model number
4. Video Card - manufacturer and exact model number
5. Power supply - manufacturer and exact model number
6. Monitor - manufacturer and exact model number

You will be fine, just remove it the way I showed you, but it's fine to do it with your new gpu
