I want a midwife and on my educational path to become a midwife. Always been a dream. i worked in OBGYN for 4 doctors and seen so much stuff i do not want. I worked with one OB doctor he was a male and he was the only one who asked his patients for a birthing plan but honestly in hospitals it never go the way patients wanted but he would try. All the rest of the OB was in and out the rooms in 10 mins with their patients. I worked with a midwife and she assisted one of the doctors and will spend so much one on one time with the patients that they didn’t even wanna see the doctor any more. Which says a lot. I love you have a wonderful experience.
Please do, we need more midwives. The universe is sending you forth for the new generation. Rise to the occasion my dear. You have all you need to be successful.
Our experience with a Midwife ended in a miscarriage. Needed the "black & white" gyna to detect and treat an infection earlier. I'm happy you had a different experience
Awesome bonding experience... I got to pull my son out and my daughter SHOT OUT but, amazing experience. Much healthier environment for a child to be born into vs a hospital. Happy for ya'll ✌🏽✊🏽.

Such a beautiful experience. Thanks for sharing. I’ve definitely been saying I desire to have a midwife for some time now especially since I changed to vegan lifestyle. And you’re right about hospital stories I’ve heard from family/friends experiences as well. Not all bad but nothing I desire to go through. I’m nowhere near pregnancy but been doing research so I’m equipped to the bests of my ability. God bless🙂
Thanks, for doing this and letting people know they have an option from the traditional sterile, dead, and cold-like option of delivery. Yes, this use to be deep in African-American culture with Midwives until you know who decides to flex their influence and redefine Modern birthing.

I birthed my son at the major hospital in my city. There's only 2 to choose from. I was born there and so was my mom. Didn't know I had another option. It was not the best experience at all! I felt violated as well. I didn't speak up. Also, why the hell do they take the baby away to the nursery instead of allowing him or her to nurse and bond with mommy right away? And force us to give birth on our backs which is actually unnatural. 24 hours later, told I needed a C-section. Also unnatural unless it's a near death emergency which it was not! They almost tore my IV out of my hand wheeling me back to my room after the surgery. I deeply regret not researching more and being so naive ☹️ I would definitely have a midwife at a birthing center this time around 🙏❤ So glad you had a lovely experience.

I recently found out that ultrasounds are not good for the baby. Even using an obgyn isn't good. I wish I had known this prior to my pregnancy.
