    I like the half bath so everyone visiting doesn't mess up that beautiful bathroom. I like to see that 4 door 2 way fridge. Which fridge is bigger? I can never remember. I like that it's very Fluffy friendly.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Each fridge has different benefits
      Residential is larger and faster cooling
      2-way is better it off grid

    • @crazycritterlady8788
      @crazycritterlady8788 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for reminding me who does what Josh, I just can't remember which one does which thing so 2 way is off grid friendly slower cooling and smaller. Residential is bigger cooles faster and sucks the battery's dead if your off grid. 😑 got it. What a dilemma, they need to make one that does it all! Bigger, coolest faster and uses less power!

    I ordered this model back on May. Came into the dealership end of October so I got the 2023. Driver side livingroom slideout bulb seal was missing 2 inches of the track it was supposed to be attached to. Mid coach AC was mounted crooked and every set of shades in the livingroom was mounted crooked. Missing several screws on the driver's side slideouts. Guess it wasn't too bad compared to some of the stories I've seen. I do like the interior changes better than the 2022.

    Don’t let anyone tell you that these units are constructed to haul across the country. We have taken ours twice from Michigan to Arizona, and had major issues EVERY night we stop to set up. Interior sliding doors falling off, closet clothes hanging systems literally pulling off their mount. Plan to fix something EVERY time you haul these units.
    I’m tired of doing their R&D for them..

    With so many manufacturers focusing their development on the "being there" amenities, it's nice to see one going the extra mile (pun intended) when it comes to "getting there". That upgraded pin box and running gear goes a long way toward driver comfort and peace of mind. Better travel access, relocate the slinky tube and an entry door window would be nice, but none are deal breakers. I'm a function over form kinda guy, so this one speaks to me. Were I in the fiver market, I'd be willing to part with some paychecks for this one--plus I'd get to go truck shopping! (My Ram 1500 just wouldn't do) A-1 job as usual, Josh. 👍👍

    This is a house on wheels. Very nice. 2 issues: Washer/Dryer in the rear of the camper. I know that’s where the master bath is but, it will take a beating while traveling. I’d be willing to give up the half bath and put the washer/dryer closer to the center of the camper. 2nd issue: The window valances have a fabric center that, on camera, look shiny or sparkly. Tacky, tacky, tacky (in my opinion). A nice contrast color to the light colored wood in the valances would look more in line with the overall decor. Thanks for sharing, Josh!

    The bedroom over the windows as long as it slides is perfect for CPAP users so they don't wrap the hose around their throat. I know my CPAP machine is behind my bed that the hose comes up and over. If there is actual cupboards above bed then a hole where the tubing can come down with machine in cupboard.

    The deal breaker for me, no road-mode bathroom access. With the rear bath it would seem a rear door might be a remedy? I'm OK with no kitchen access. I plan to get to a Harvest Host or Cracker Barrel if I'm traveling between locations and timing so I'm not pulling in after dark. I'll pack a picnic lunch and cooler for the truck. I do want to get to the bathroom though!

    @Brigand231 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    A real winner for sure, thanks Uncle Josh! Er, almost a winner.
    The main thing I don't like about this one is how they've cluttered the doorway to the driver's side access of that front pass-through - I would sincerely argue they need a new term for it, as they've severely limited what can actually pass through there on that side. The battery and cord reel could have gone in that front storage box! I guess the idea was to be able to access those things while still hitched up? ...and then I saw the size of the door on the other side, which made the situation even worse. The area inside can hold so much, but it has to pass through a tiny door on the passenger side or get knocked around by the battery box and scraped on the power cord/cord reel. If the cord is actually still on the reel while you're trying to get in there it would restrict access even more. Granted, I'll probably never be able to afford this unit in the first place, but if I could this defect would probably cause me to pass this, otherwise stellar, rolling abode over for something else (though the sale prices on the website are amazing and actually put it within reach!). The rear under-storage is great, yes, but if I want to put a small cooler/fridge on a slide tray in the front area, so I can just hop out of the truck to grab drinks and a packed lunch at a rest stop, that's simply not gonna happen and with fridge access limited in road mode, that's a huge deal.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah traveling with this one is limiting. It really feel like this is for someone that’s just going to get there and setup for a while though
      I could be wrong. Sometimes how I see it and how someone else doesn’t don’t quite jive and that’s ok

    I do like this unit a lot - so many good points but one glaring issue for me are those windows! I've said it before and I'll invariably say it again in the future but frameless windows are a no go for me. I like fresh air and to me those windows are like your four inch fart fans. Thanks for showing this one and the factory tour!

    Sal (The Theater Seat Guy) Sorry I haven't been around for while, got put into TH-cam jail because of something I said on my podcast. Anyway, Love the set up on this, the power recliners are awesome. doesn't look like the table and chairs are fluffy friendly but no matter for us, the Mrs. and I eat in our recliners anyway. Light fixture over the island is nice. It would be just the two of us but the second bath is handy. Love the way the stove is set. I'd go with a queen to give room for a CPAP. Love that bathroom. The road mode isn't that great. Would love to have access to one of the bathrooms. The rear basement storage is awesome! Are those tires H rated? Better location for the sewer hose storage would be nice. Also, is that an on demand water heater? Hope you have a great weekend Josh and all viewers.

    Master bathroom is much nicer than in my current 16x80 mobile home. The back splash guard behind the kitchen stove I thought looked exceptionally nice and is it tile or just a patterned solid panel that is there, surprised you didn't mention it. For me getting to the fridge while traveling on the road isn't that a big deal and I would just keep a small cooler inside My vehicle.

    To me, these floor plans make each room too small as opposed to an "open floor plan" rear living room. I don't like the idea of having to go up and down the stairs to get to the living room because you spend so much of the time there. Most ex-military folks knees are shot! Plus, the lack of access to anything (especially the lav!) is a deal breaker for me. That is non-negotiable for me. Need access to my own lav en route.

    Smaller fridge, chuck the microwave. Need more counter space & c'mon toss the dinette! Free standing table & chairs. Half bath works.
    Bathroom remove one sink & put in a utility (deep) sink.

      They just look really wide on either side under televator

      Agree - kind of plain looking. Easy to remedy though.

    Well few modifications and it could work for full time. Like toss the sofa beds in the so called living room. Dont need to house the neighborhood. What's the hugh doors by the televator? Fake or storage? Put a desk on one side & need place for books & definately individual recliners.
    Smaller fridge, chuck the microwave. Need more counter space & c'mon toss the dinette! Free standing table & chairs. Half bath works.
    Bathroom remove one sink & put in a utility (deep) sink. Mirror way too big. Where's the medicine cabinet?
    Not impressed with the goofy geometric lighting decor - already lived thru the 70s. 😳😄😄😄 There - just knocked off another $50k! 😊

    I'm not a big fan of the white furniture as a general rule. They show dirt/hair and wear much more than darker ones

      I think they still have 1-2 other sofa decor options btw

    Nice trailer but your biggest downfall is all that white it looks terrible in a trailer the bathroom looks fine in white the rest of the trailer does not

    Greetings Josh !
    Once again thank you for the professional presentation you make Josh. I really like this fifth wheel trailer, except the windowless front door, i don't like it.
    At the next !!

    Thank you Josh for bringing us this unit. I really appreciate you bringing us the good and bad of every unit you show. I like this one a lot. My biggest dislikes are that they used cable slides for the front living room and the battery compartment in the pass through storage seemed awkward. Great unit though. Again, thank you for your hard work 😓!

    Why 2 sinks in a trailer master? It is, truly idiotic. More storage? Bigger shower? Combo washer/dryer? Lose the 2nd sink!

    Nice COMMODE ROOM. Man this is a nice rig I know for sure if I were to tow this rig it would not even make it to the first destination because it would be destroyed with my driving ( 🍻beer might have a part ) 👈MAYBE . 🤣🙋💣🚽💥💥💥💥💥

    I really like these Cedar Creek RVs👍even though their $140,000 MSRP is literally double what I paid for my house in 1990😂

      Thankfully their MSRP seems more inflated than most of these

    Guess I'm wondering why I'd buy this over an Alliance Paradigm 385FL, when Alliance has a better layout for the 1/2-bath, better construction, waaaaay better field service... liike... waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better... and did I mention better construction and field service? Also, the basement storage on the 385 is much larger and can fit a cricket golf cart!!

      "Better construction" -- may I ask how you arrived to that conclusion? Are you familiar with cedar creek's build process?

      @@JoshtheRVNerd good morning and thanks for asking, Josh... I am actually, having toured both FR's and ARV's factories ... twice each, in fact... along with several others, including Keystone and GD/Winnie ... combine that with having funded numerous independent inspections on several of each of these and many other notable manufacturers (across brands), I've concluded so far that literally ALL manufacturers in the RV space cut lots of corners in the name of profit - some more than others, and some less... I'm incentivized to source only the best product for my family, not to just paint the sky over all RV's with rainbows... sure, you point out so-called short-comings, but let's be honest, they're mostly aesthetic and subjective and rarely go behind the walls because your incentive is to SELL... bottom line, this industry is headed for a reckoning, despite high demand - social media and some industry press are doing the consumer a solid and exposing inherent systemic quality problems. Right now, ARV is doing the least shitty job of putting out a quality product, in part because they're working hard to minimize the need to actually deliver on their post-sale process in the field - to wit, better outcomes up front lead to less costs later... Pay attention to what I said, and not what I didn't... I did NOT say they're doing a great job, I said they're doing the least shitty... No doubt, there will be ebb and flow of output quality as time goes by and the economy does what it's going to do... in the mean time, you keep doing what you're doing, but expect that some folks in your comments know just as much as you do, if not more... and might bubble up from time-to-time... Be curious, not judgmental. #BBQsauce

      @@NetworkPIMP Thank you for the information and clarity. I asked because the construction of a Cedar Creek seems to be one of those things very few people really know or understand. I'm not sure which of Forest River's factories you've visited but Cedar Creek is not made like most of them.
      If you're curious, then you can see how they're put together here: bit.ly/3T4CmBa
      And you won't hear me trash talk Alliance. The work they're doing in customer support is unmatched and I love what they're doing with NRVTA trying to make camping better than before
