During your organizational video I seen your traah bags under your sink. They take up a lot of room, we store our bags in the trash can itself under the bag that you are using. Its so easy when you take out the trash your new bag is right there to put on
I’m 58 yrs old and I was inspired by this video. You are doing a great job….and I like that you don’t act cheesy like so many other RV TH-camrs. Keep up the great work! 😊
Nano tape is a nice thing for keeping decorative/functional items in place. I love small vintage pottery pieces to hold soap, sponges, utensils, tap lights and even small floral arrangements in place. Nano tape has held these things in place for over two years and doesn’t mark or damage surfaces.
one suggestion for when you acquire more canned goods is to use a permanent marker and write on the top of each can the contents, then put them in a basket or on a cookie sheet to pull out like a drawer from under your nice wire shelf. Easy access and easy to see what you want. Otherwise you are ignoring the cans in the back or attempting to shuffle them to see what is in the cans in the back of the shelf. It's a very rewarding feeling to know for at least a brief time you are once again organized. Thanks for sharing !
I'm sorry but if people would just schedule a deep cleaning once or twice a month things would be more organized in houses I see so many TH-cam most of it that's all it would take is somebody just scheduling deep cleaning
One item I found on Pinterest and LOVE, are YOGA MATS! You measure them to fit your shelf length, say the cup section and then cut them to fit. Your cups, plates and bowls will NOT move. It is twice as good as shelf liner.
This was really fun! Especially to see your hot mess before and really nice after. My hot mess will now look a little better thanks to you!!!! You are awesome to tackle all this. It's not easy I know! You have really inspired me!
First I want to thank you for NOT changing your intro. So many channels have changed their intro to a preview. I like yours and glad you haven't changed it. Second, I loved this video. So many great ideas. I'm currently working on downsizing my stand up jewelry armoire to something I can manage when we go full time in our 31MB Reflection Fifth wheel. I'm open to suggestions. I still have tupperware that was my grandma's. that stuff never goes out of style or wears out.
My mother-in-law lives with us. She has lots of earrings. I bought bead organizers from the hobby store. There are 3 rows with about 10 little bins in each row and the lid closes so that even small beads won’t change spaces if jiggled. The nice thing is that the bottoms of each little bin are rounded so the earrings are easy to get out. This would also work for necklaces and bracelets that aren’t too stiff. Personally I use the a plastic cross stitch piece of material (8 x 10 tiny squares comes with a hole at the top that hangs these on the display at the hobby store. People use these to make decorative ornaments or tissue holders using the plastic and yarn in a cross stitch format. I use the store hanger to hang it on the inside of a cabinet door using a command strip hook and I hook my earrings onto this in the small squares. It holds probably 50 pairs of earrings.
The drawer under our fridge works perfect to store all our rolls of foil, plastic wrap boxes, the boxes of storage bags, etc. We keep our dogs water bowl in the shower. It makes it easy to fill, clean, and collects most of drips and slobbers.
Loved all the ideas! I'll be implementing some of them! Another idea I thought of for the shoes .... Put a tall very thin trash can, or tote against that cabinet to "throw" the shoes in... if you are like me, there are than just two pairs of shoes! I found a perfect size small tote that I dump my "currently" wearing shoes in. Then under the bed is a hanging rack that holds my other, not so frequent use shoes.
Love the tea bag container! I will be getting one of those. Enjoyed the video and don't worry about your messy cabinets we all have them but you now have your's all neat.
One thing I use for my dish cabinet storage is tension rods. I buy them at Walmart in the curtain isle. Keeps my dishes and cups and glasses from falling out when you open the door. Another thing that we use a lot of is solid plastic bins. We've had some instances where either liquid food products or liquid cleaning products have leaked so we keep those types of things in solid plastic bins with no holes in the sides. That way nothing seeps out.
Never was into the convection thing until we bought our new rv 10 months ago but let me tell ya ………… It is AWESOME! I use it more than the microwave function and in fact haven’t used my oven since, not to mention it saves propane!!! Try it girl you won’t be disappointed!! Happy New Year ……. Safe, healthy and happy travels y’all!
Square and oblong containers maximize space. The number one purchase for cabinets and fridge. And leak proof bags. Pick an square or 'not round' tray or basket and stack bags inside. Rvs are notorious for odd spaces. Measure first!
I love organisational topics coz I love organising cupboards, my contribution tip would be no lid at 7.40 and store the packets vertically in the tupperware so you can flick through to see the sauces x.
You have some really great ideas. Thank you ! I will add one thing; however, the shoe storage cubbies that you added will probably not hold up and in my rig I hung the legal sized woven metal hanging file folders on my cabinet. Not only do they hold shoes but will hold flip fop, kids shoes, magazines, dog leashes, treats, anything that. you want handy by the door and I think they look nice too. Again, thanks for all the information. I wish you and your family a Blessed life and happy travels.
Many grocery stores have a place to recycle the plastic bags. Every couple of months we clean out the bags under the sink and return them to the store. We had one of those bag holders in our RV also.
Oh my goodness, the cup/mug thing!! I think they breed at night. Writing down your disorganization frustrations is a great idea. I'm starting a week of that and then I'll review it and decide how to rearrange. And I'm right now putting three mugs in the Goodwill bag. Thanks!
Great organization ideas for newbies…we move in ours in Dec…so excited. Buying some things ahead of time. Thank you so much! Buying the tea holder and spice rack for sure…
Nicely done. Love how you organized the pantry & pans. I have plastic baskets in our small over the couch cabinets. On the basket I have labels for what is in the baskets. So you look at the label & bring that basket down to get what you need. Always an ongoing project, organizing the RV.
Awesome video!! Great job on your organizational skills! The spice racks are my favorite! I would love to see what you do with your pantry after next big shopping trip to Costco.
Loved your ideas but I also use a lot of baskets to make it easy to find things in the back. Takes time and often changes to find the right baskets for each area.
That's actually a really cool idea to have the lazy susan in the pantry to save on just a little more space. Our pantry is a complete nightmare as well. Your tea game is on point by the way lol nice work organizing everything you guys, we will have to take some of these tips for our rig! Love your fifth wheel too, we wanted the 375 RES (if this is the model you have) but our truck couldn't handle the weight. Currently we are in a Solitude S-Class 2930 RL. Keep up the great work you guys 👍- Kyle and Renee
Oh soul sister!! I MUST have anything pickle too LOL. Actually I love what you've done. You put a lot of thought and research in to your organization. Kudos!
Awesome video, I loved this one!! I just watched The Home Edit on Netflix and have been wishing there was another season already, so this was very timely and so much fun to watch!! I think I will be purchasing that spice rack 😊 Thank you guys for all the great content, you are one of my favorite channels ❤
Under the sink I would suggest a narrow long rack similar to the style rack you are already using, but use the long narrow one up higher and attached to the inside of your cupboard for storing your scrubbies...that would leave more open space for the rack you are using now...veritical space is good to use:)
Great tips, love organizing my home and trailer. I appreciated the Tupperware shout out but being a representative my husband has been taunting me with this video. Lol
I have those same clear containers in diff sizes at home, when we go on the road in our class C I just pull the container I need & take them along. They're also stackable. 👍🏻
We did a similar thing to our Pantry. We put our oils/liquids on the bottom shelves instead and the snacks up high. Had the oils fall before so now they have a shorter distance to fall 😁. We put the snacks up higher to try and make it harder for any small unwanted mice etc that could potentially get in.
Like your video. We never bake when we camp as it uses too much propane. We also cook pasta at home then put in a ziploc in fridge. Within a few days we make pasta & sauce and/or pasta salad.
you can store your sugars and corn meal ect into those types of containers you bought for dry goods. they are also awsome for noodles ect. then simply label each of them so you know what is in it. the little label machines are not expensive.
@@GetawayCouple I use the slide out shelf’s in our home because of my severe Rheumatoid arthritis. They have been a lifesaver for me, it makes things easier to reach and stays very organized.
I think instead of the shoe thing, you could maybe find a basket that sticks out further as far as that wall sticks out and then you could stack a few pairs in the basket then doing another one under and hold it up with command strips too. Like maybe even the square wire baskets from dollar tree or target I’ve seen. I saw you look behind those tennis shoes as they were sticking out far, I think I’d be bothered by my shoes sticking out. But you could always stick another pair of shoes behind those too!
if you had one coffe mug per person and one water container per person you could have that whole top shelf free. you can only use one at a time. lols nice job on your tea and coffe drawer.
Looks awesome. To get more space in your pot cabinet you can put you strainers in the pots on the bottom than place lid on top with handle inside that way it don't shift.

My clear bins in the medicine cabinet made me so happy. Secondly, command hooks for my mop, broom, belts, hats and camis are favorites as well. I want to get a shelf to separate my plates from the bowls though. Where are Jason and Carmen?
Now that you’ve lived with these changes for a year, how are they working (especially the shoe storage which I didn’t like, just wondering if it held up). We buy a lot of mixed nuts from Costco, so we use the clear nut jars to store all our flour, corn meal, rice, sugar, etc. A portable label maker is awesome.

get a lavel maker and mark your plastic container with what they are. also your flours sugars ect should be put into those plastic containers that you bought. label again. makes life so much easier then pulling out bags.
I did use the screws but there are pretty strong command strips you can get at Target or Walmart. I'd be sure to use a lot though! I'm actually glad I opted for screws because they're really on there now.
@@GetawayCouple Thank you for getting back to me!! I appreciate it very much; I know your video was posted a couple years ago, so I was crossing my fingers.

Good call! I've had that basket for awhile, I actually think I picked it up at Target or Walmart. I did find it on Amazon but they only sell it as a six pack for some reason. Here it is though! amzn.to/2Fkqgni
think about your canned items by color; TOMATOES, PIMENTOS, KETCHUP WOULD GO IN A RED BIN. PICKLES, PEPPERS WOULD GO IN A GREEN BIN. CANNED MILK, MAYO, BAKING SODA IN A WHITE BIN. COCO POWDER, BEEF BULLION CUBES, TEA BAGS IN A BROWN BIN.
Hi, just discovered your channel. Thanks for the great ideas. We're new to the 'big' trailer world (former tent and pop-up trailer campers). We aren't full time RVers (yet). My question is, do you secure anything in the pantry for moving day? I've seen how you secure the cups and pans, etc.. but curious about the pantry. Our new trailer has a similar pantry to yours and I'm just not sure except by trial and error how to fill it up. Our first trip is next month. Thanks!
First of all, welcome!! 😊 You are now a part of the Getaway Gang! Next, congrats on the new purchase and new adventure! 🥳 The pantry is always fun. If anything is higher up that could fall, it goes on the bottom. Making sure everything is compacted against each other keeps things from shifting during travel. I have even heard of people adding plastic bowls, plastic cups or even throw pillows or a blanket in to keep things from shifting. It probably sounds more complicated than it really is. You will definitely learn about your cabinets with each trip and figure it out. Enjoy that first trip! Thanks for watching!
Sometimes you have to go through trial and error to see what works for your space and needs. I am thrilled my spices finally found their happy place! 😉

think about your canned items by color; TOMATOES, PIMENTOS, KETCHUP WOULD GO IN A RED BIN. PICKLES, PEPPERS WOULD GO IN A GREEN BIN. CANNED MILK, MAYO, BAKING SODA IN A WHITE BIN. COCO POWDER, BEEF BULLION CUBES, TEA BAGS IN A BROWN BIN.
I liked everything except for the shoe thing
Hope you found some useful tips for you!
That was so cool 👍 thank 🙇

We use salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder. Maybe a steak rub.
Sounds great!
What are you using for shelf brackets to support the weight on the shelves. I get mine organized, then the shelf falls. Ty
Ugh we need to organize our spices. It's a daily frustration!
Sometimes you have to go through trial and error to see what works for your space and needs. I am thrilled my spices finally found their happy place! 😉
How did you get your spice rack to stay up on the wall?
