Best advice ive ever gotton. Was tired of going from doctor to doctor, only to be prescribed Pecid and later Pantrapazole. Was gas lit into thinking i had Gerd and that nothing was wrong with me. Again anf again was told to take fiber when i told them fiber messed me up. I told the Doctors that i only had relief when eating meats. They told me that meat was bad fir digestion and that i need fiber. I was stuck in a vicious cycle. Taking acid blockers when i didn't need them. All GI doctors are good for is ordering Endescopies. I swear many of them should hsve their licenses revoked. Thank God i stopped listening to their advice to "avoid looking online". Best decision of my life.

It is estimated that 15-20 million people in the United States have some form of peripheral neuropathy.[2] Sudomotor dysfunction is one of the most common and earliest neurophysiological manifestations of small fiber neuropathies. Sudomotor function refers to the autonomic nervous system control of sweat gland activity in response to various environmental and individual factors. You sweat too much or not enough. This can be dangerous. In some instances, the small fibers of the autonomic nervous system can be affected, leading to urinary or bowel problems, episodes of rapid heartbeat (palpitations), dry eyes or mouth, or abnormal sweating. They can also experience a sharp drop in blood pressure upon standing (orthostatic hypotension), which can cause dizziness, blurred vision, or fainting. Small fiber neuropathy is considered a form of peripheral neuropathy because it affects the peripheral nervous system, which connects the brain and spinal cord to muscles and to cells that detect sensations such as touch, smell, and pain. Insensitivity to pain can be particularly problematic. One may be bleeding or have a skin injury without even knowing it. The above is from Wikipedia. Personally, I have gut motility problems which can be a cause of SIBO. I have been experiencing burning, shooting, and stabbing, along with numbness and tingling in my skin and extremities. Most people have large fiber neuropathy, like the neuropathy that you get from diabetes. SFN in my case is idiopathic, they don;t know what causes it. I have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and that can be a cause. I also have times when my heart pounds and I have palpitations. The autonomic nerves that SFN attacks, control the systems in your body that are automatic, you don;t have to think about them for them to work; like breathing, bowel and bladder emptying, heart function, sweating, your organ function, and more. I’m sure this is more than you wanted to know, but you asked😁

Symptoms typically begin in the feet or hands but can start in other parts of the body. Some people initially experience a more generalized, whole-body pain. The pain is often described as stabbing or burning, or abnormal skin sensations such as tingling or itchiness. In some individuals, the pain is more severe during times of rest or at night. The signs and symptoms of small fiber neuropathy can occur at any point in life depending on the underlying cause. Individuals with small fiber neuropathy often cannot feel pain that is concentrated in a very small area, such as the prick of a pin. However, they have an increased sensitivity to pain in general (hyperalgesia) and experience pain from stimulation that typically does not cause pain (allodynia). But I need to lose weight, too, so that’s why I’m trying it.
I can confirm that this is a well researched video. I had gut issues for years and the only thing that helped me was keto + intermittent fasting + betaine hydrochloride + digestive enzymes + apple cider vinegar. I started with keto and fasting gradually increasing the fasting window, until I got to the point of OMAD (22/2), which I did for a year. Then I carefully added the other stuff, one thing at a time. Yes, I lost a little more weight than I wanted, but my overall health drastically improved. My acne dissappeared too. Now, I've been experimenting with adding a little bit more carbs and so far so good. Please be aware that issues like this take time to figure out. The above journey took me almost 4 years. Not to mention the 10 years prior to the Keto/IF. I'm still learning. Good luck all! ✌️
@@satyakaamesh2634 Hey 👋 Because betaine hydrochloride is pretty hard to find in my location, I use Digestive Aid from Viridian. It also has amylase, ginger root, peppermint leaf, lipase, protease, amyloglucosidase. I'm not saying this is the best option, but it is the best I have locally.
In general there’s no need to stick to a diet that long btw. Most guts will calm down in anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks of strict diet and fasting before you can slowly start to introduce foods again. The steps you mentioned are good though
@@stebbey6006 Sadly this is incorrect. It can take much longer time on a FODMAP diet to have things calm down, sometimes they never will unless supplementation is used
@@kevindsouza7844 well fodmap is only part of the healing process. But you’re right the full healing process can take longer, depending on the severity. Some people heal within 2-3 weeks. For others it can take months. If you’re not healing within months you’re probably not using the right approach. I suggest starting at the base, checking for stomach acid levels wether you need betaine+pepsin or not. If those are fine look for gallbladder issues(cos gallbladder issues can also come from low stomach acid). Most SIBO and leaky gut issues are also caused from issues with stomach acid or gallbladder as there’s not enough acid to kill off bacteria. One thing that helps really really well with SIBO is ginger extract and artichoke extract to get the gallbladder running and flush out those excess bacteria.

My gastro and GP have dismissed me so many times. It’s hard to know where my gut issues come from when I am type one diabetic, have IBS, endometriosis, autoimmune urticaria, PMDD and gluten intolerance. I want to see a functional doctor because I’m so lose where to even start, but it’s thousands of dollars. I just started taking a tablespoon of Bob’s Red Mill potato starch mixed in food or water every evening. This converts into Butyrate and I have noticed less inflammation in my body, able to breathe and sleep better at night! It’s also improving my mood. Quite amazing considering how cheap it is, and I wish that I knew about it sooner.
Thank you for this. I've tried everything apart from, if I'm honest with myself, all of these measures at the same time, including fasting. Docs always advised against it because I'm tiny and it's so easy to comfort eat when you're chronically ill and miserable. It's also extremely difficult to follow any kind of regime when you're exhausted. But when you need change so badly, you have to put the work in.
I have recently given up on the doctors. I had been prescribed omeprazole and naproxen for inflammation of my joints. This inflamed the underlying problem. Low stomach acid levels, apple cider vinegar helped loads. The indigestion and heartburn was made worse by antacids and omeprazole. This initial fix had helped me loads as I was suffering lactose intolerance and random allergies.
The fasting it actually so real. I fasted for three days, 16 hours a day and I felt sooooo much better. I also changed my diet to a low FODMAP one. It makes a huge difference.

Hi glad you are better, can I ask which bile acid you chose and when did you take it along with dose. Seems to be some Controversy on whether or not to take with meals. Wondering what worked for you.
@@lindapelle8738 im only learning these. All these are highly individual. I tried Gallmet, it has 100mg ox bile per capsule and it caused issues. But it has herbs as well(no one asked for those). The important is to take bile supplements with capsules that resist stomach acid. You don't want alkaline stuff in your stomach with meal. If you dont have bile supplement in proper capsule, then maybe it is better to take it before or after you eat, but to me this is far from optimal, it can be difficult to time properly.
Oh my gosh! This works for my GERD! I have tried everything else like Betaine HCL, probiotics, prebiotics, every diet imaginable, and recently some oil of oregano. SIBO can lead to leaky gut too due to the bacteria in there and gas causing the stretching of the lining and in return you get little holes that lead all that junk in the body. Vagas nerve support! The stomach & brain correlation. Parasympathetic & thyroid. Imbalances. It started with ACID REFLUX, not enough HCL . Then menopause. Next, I had a bad case of food poison and VERTIGO! My vagas/electrical nerves in my stomach, intestines, brain, arms, and sciatic were out off wack, causing aggravated nerve sensations like headaches, gas bloating, facial & ear hotness. You have to fix each individual initial problem. Get rid of EXTRA BACTERIAL in gut. Maybe increase bile production. Help increase HCL, I use lemon juice and ginger. For parasympathetic, I get head massages and body massages for relaxation. The gas production in your body also plays a big part in feeling better so try staying GAS ⛽️ FREE! 😊

Hi Elliot, I've developed and been diagnosed with IBS, which I've never previously had. The symptoms range from loose stool, to bloating, flatulence, abdominal discomfort and chronic hemorrhoids. These all came on about 3 years ago when Covid was first starting, and I developed a hermit lifestyle staying in. I drank about a liter of coffee a day and had a pretty consistent drinking habit. I also had the worst anxiety of my life and developed alopecia. Even though I learned to manage the anxiety and the alopecia eventually died down, the changes to my gut and digestion persist. I am usually in some form of discomfort every day despite eating a healthy diet of whole foods and exercising 3 times a week. I'm at a loss on what to do and at this point I just want to be normal again. There's so much information to navigate in this field and I have no idea where to start, as I don't even really know what's causing the IBS..
Almost exactly my predicament . One thing that really helped me is fulvic acid and zeolite by truestone. Trying to fix my gut left me with some issues that I assume was from histamine from the probiotics. So that made my stomach flare up and burn. So I bought licorice root and made a tea along with aloe Vera formula and got instant relief. Also tried eating a low histamine diet and soon to try some histamine free probiotics. I personally believe everyone started to get sick when covid happened because our water, food and air supply has been poisoned for years. Naturally we all accumulated heavy metals and toxins in our systems and then in 2020 they introduced 5g. So what happens when you microwave metal? That’s what’s happening to us. The heavy metals are fucking up our gut and creating an environment for parasites and inflammation. The fulvic acid and the zeolite bind and remove the toxins out the body. Helped me a lot but still figuring out certain gut flare ups.
same here but my colon backed up on me it has not really returned to normal .. it will bloat and i get conspitated. i was sitting every night at the computer and one night my stomach just starting swelling. i was afraid to go to the ER for fear of catching covid. so it stopped functioning for a day. and would just swell for almost year .
wow same issues from covid and antibiotics. u get pain immediate right to belly button. on alopecia, I tried only carnivore diet and digestive enzymes. helps if you can continue.
Day on day off fasting, Bad bacteria perishes in 24 hours good bacteria will remain for longer . Hope this helps. Room temp water or warm only not cold with a few grains of celtic sea salt. 14 days of this will see improvements.
I appreciate people who bring new knowledge to TH-cam and actaully share what really works for them. Thank you very much, I’ve had this problem that every time I consume olive oil I get a serious migraine. Can that be related to gut bacteria? I feel like all my body is inflamed sometimes…

@@patrickjuan7072 I have BAM from ileitis due to crohn's, doing BPC-157, and am very conscious about my light environement (48th lattitude's autumn means I can't get much natural sunlight so it's mostly about limiting the damages). Got some histamine intolerance along the way but I've mostly dealt with that with DAO, copper biglycinate, and B complex (while still waiting for P5P to arrive). Other than that no more gut troubles, and I even have days where my health is near perfect. Of course this is very specific and not something I'd recommend to everybody. Add to that the taurine and glycine I take, as well as MSM although that one is mostly unrelated, and recently I've been giving methylene blue a shot, and while it seems to be helping I'm not sure how much of it is just due to its effects as a MAOI. And a few 3 days fasts here and there. Of course I could just take some fiber like psyllium husk to bind the bile acids, but that's just masking the problem, not fixing it.
I've been on this journey for decades due to mainstream medical quackery (was indirectly fed antibiotics in the womb, given to my mother while pregnant with me ... and then more toward the issues it caused me as a child ... then more as a young adult ... stronger and stronger antibiotics ... for years). Not to mention the foods they promote that make us so sick. So I've tried a lot of things, supplements and various ways of eating. Currently IF and carnivore and learning so much with that (like, uh, we do need some veggies and fruits ... the need for supplementing with electrolytes is a hint). One thing I'm learning is not to just ignore feeling not-quite-right after eating. Swedish bitters helps. As does sauerkraut and manuka honey. I used to take B5, but it seemed to cause hair loss (probably causing an imbalance with the other B's and/or already having a deficiency in those). So I heard one guru speak of B1 not long ago, and got a little bottle of it (and old brand, solgar). I think a took it a time or two, and then stopped (might have not felt great afterward). I'm wondering now if I should give it another try or toss it. I do take a good quality, "raw" b complex (GOL) and feel I do well on it.
Take the TTFD and benfotiamine versions of vit b1. It makes all the difference!!!!! Try high doses. I have taken 12 capsules of TTFD at a time occasionally and felt much better. Best wishes.
Thx for posting 🙏 I was speculating the same thing before I saw this; I think over activation of the sympathetic nervous system is really harmful long term. Wakeful rest seems to be very important. Slow breathing, panoramic vision, bodily awareness, yawning, etc. I've never thought of myself as "stressed", so I never seriously suspected "stress", but I don't think it's about "stress" as we understand it. A significant lack of parasympathetic activation seems to be harmful in and of itself even if there are no stakes - even if you're just in your bedroom. In other words, "stress" as a medical concern seems to be a lot more encompassing than we might think
Agreed! Especially with modern life, I think it’s common for people to disregard that they are stressed to the point that they are caught in a stress feed back loop that will only get worse with time unless it’s addressed. Most can agree that they have conventional stress like everybody else, but it’s knowing that you are caught in a more vicious cycle that matters most.
Some digestive bitters have alcohol. I know that affects the liver too. Is that still OK to use if you only do it prior to a meal? Excellent information! Thank you for sharing your story!🌼
I'm a bit bewildered about the start of the video where you say the ketogenic addressed the symptoms. If it did exactly what you wanted, why would you come off it? It fixed the root cause of the problem, because when you came off it the symptoms returned. The logical solution would be to stay on the ketogenic diet. The goal isn't to eat as many foods as possible, but to eat a diet that improves your health/function the most 🤔🙏🏻
The goal WAS to be able to eat fruit and starch without getting terrible gas, bloating, and feeling ill. Keto diet just masked symptoms, because whenever I went back to eat those foods I would relapse in symptoms. That wasn't a sign of gut health, but symptom management Now I can eat the vast majority of foods with no problem at all. I don't, but I can
@@EONutrition I see what you are saying. Have you considered that perhaps fruit and starch were causing the issue? Given that sugar is a major playing in SIBO
@@carnivore-muscle I don't consider starch or fruit as a cause, per se. They are major triggers, yes. But eating those things in my younger years caused no identifiable symptoms. Only after I developed post-infectious IBS/SIBO did they evoke symptoms. Certain components of specific types of starch-containing vegetables or fruits might be an actual cause in some people (lectin, oxalate, etc). Although I am under the impression that its an over-simplistic analysis to blame the food. In someone with a "healthy" gut, they can generally tolerate those foods and the anti-nutrients/toxins contained within them. On the other hand, someone with SIBO gets obliterated by eating these foods. So... context is dependent! RE actual causes... I think man-made toxins, radiation, pesticides, erratic circadian rhythms, and other unnatural innovations are more likely the culprit. Food reactions are a symptom IMO. That said, excesses of lectins, or especially oxalate (such as in my case), certainly can and will trigger gut issues in at least some people

I started to feel a little better adding new foods when a consultant said have a ph test which has mad every thing worse in bloated and feel ful all the time im still eating 5 veg unable to add more as i get very sore i havent felt right since that ph test. I keep phoning Dr's no one is helping me its just been awful im still home sick 9 months now .Ive started a b12 supplement thats it.Face is sore and red when sick its undigested food pins and needles ,burning head, fatigued ,sore dry eyes im sensitive to sulpher foods ect..x

When I ate the Carnivore diet, I couldn't poop. If I did, it was pebbles...for a couple years. Once I started eating leaner cuts of meat along with a lot of fruit, I am doing great now. The CD also gave me hyperglycemia from too much fat!
1. Give your gut a rest. Do a fodmap, low carb or carnivor diet. Or fast.
2.fix gut mobility. Meditation, relaxing, exercise, take vitamin b1, cdp choline, vitamin b5. Also sauna helps.
3. Improve digestive out put with apple cider vinegar or betaine hcl, or bile salts
4.if above didnt work, do an antimicrobial supplement. This is a individulized protocol depending on your bacteria overgrowth.
5. Colostrim, buyterate to heal
If all didnt work you may have mold or thyroid issues.

I can, I’ve had SIBO for about 25 years. Ugh! I took Xifaxim once and it was like a miracle. It stayed away for 2-3 years, but came back. I have mobility issues from small fiber neuropathy, so I don’t know if it can be fixed.
@@suew4609 what do you mean by "small fiber neuropathy"?
@@seb5587 Small fiber peripheral neuropathy (SFN) is a type of peripheral neuropathy that occurs from damage to the small unmyelinated and myelinated peripheral nerve fibers. These fibers, categorized as C fibers and small Aδ fibers, are present in skin, peripheral nerves, and organs.[1] The role of these nerves is to innervate some skin sensations (somatic afferents) and help control autonomic function (autonomic fibers).

These fibers, categorized as C fibers and small Aδ fibers, are present in skin, peripheral nerves, and organs.[1] The role of these nerves is to innervate some skin sensations (somatic afferents) and help control autonomic function (autonomic fibers). It is estimated that 15-20 million people in the United States have some form of peripheral neuropathy.[2]
Sudomotor dysfunction is one of the most common and earliest neurophysiological manifestations of small fiber neuropathies.

Signs and symptoms
Small fiber neuropathy is a condition characterized by severe pain.
People affected with this condition may also have a reduced ability to differentiate between hot and cold.

Personally, it causes a lot of pain, and affects my heart rate, how I sweat or don’t sweat, and the motility in my stomach doesn’t work, right. Meaning food is in my stomach for way too long and then slowly moves into my colon. That’s why I don’t think this diet will necessarily help me. But I need to lose weight, too, so that’s why I’m trying it.

Facts
what enzyme and brand you use ? please
@@satyakaamesh2634 Hey 👋
Because betaine hydrochloride is pretty hard to find in my location, I use Digestive Aid from Viridian.

It’s hard to know where my gut issues come from when I am type one diabetic, have IBS, endometriosis, autoimmune urticaria, PMDD and gluten intolerance. I want to see a functional doctor because I’m so lose where to even start, but it’s thousands of dollars.
@@sergio9164TRUESTONE ? Is this the one the Detox Girls sell ?
same here but my colon backed up on me it has not really returned to normal .. it will bloat and i get conspitated. i was sitting every night at the computer and one night my stomach just starting swelling. i was afraid to go to the ER for fear of catching covid. so it stopped functioning for a day. and would just swell for almost year .
wow same issues from covid and antibiotics. u get pain immediate right to belly button. on alopecia, I tried only carnivore diet and digestive enzymes. helps if you can continue.
Day on day off fasting,
Bad bacteria perishes in 24 hours good bacteria will remain for longer .
Speaking of antimicrobials ozone therapy was recommended to me for Long Covid. As a heads up for those in the comments, this is very antimicrobial. It does seem to help symptoms, but be careful of rectal ozone if you want to protect your microbiome.
Great vid, your best yet!
As some other people are saying! Thanks
You're an absolute gem Elliot!
For Probotic try Kefir 30 minute morning before and Plain yogurt 1 hour after meal 😊
Thanks Elliot. Great information, as always. Much appreciated.
Great video, very complete. Already tried all those things and more but yeah this should be what people try first before diving deeper.
What are your symptoms? Are you trying something else now?
Of course I could just take some fiber like psyllium husk to bind the bile acids, but that's just masking the problem, not fixing it.
thank u so much for this. Really fills in the gap of all the research I've been doing!!!!
Best health content on TH-cam, one day I will reimburse you for all this great information!
Thx for posting 🙏
I was speculating the same thing before I saw this; I think over activation of the sympathetic nervous system is really harmful long term.
You know your stuff mate.
Some digestive bitters have alcohol. I know that affects the liver too. Is that still OK to use if you only do it prior to a meal? Excellent information! Thank you for sharing your story!🌼
Excellent presentation Elliot. Thank you.
That wasn't a sign of gut health, but symptom management
Now I can eat the vast majority of foods with no problem at all. I don't, but I can
@@EONutrition I see what you are saying. Have you considered that perhaps fruit and starch were causing the issue? Given that sugar is a major playing in SIBO
@@carnivore-muscle sugar is just something some sibos react to. not the root cause either. not even one of the root causes honestly...
That said, excesses of lectins, or especially oxalate (such as in my case), certainly can and will trigger gut issues in at least some people
@@EONutrition fair! I appreciate your content. Keep up the great work 🙏🏻
This is amazing sir! Well done!
What about oregano and garlic for a sibo cure? I've heard many success stories of that one
He was completely right. I had gut issues not sure if it was IBS or another. But once i decided to water fasting (48hrs) i did that because i wanted to both detox also lose some weight (mostly water weight i know) but actually after that my digestive system was getting better, my stool wasn’t extremely soft and watery like diarrhea as i used to have (because when i eat i had problem with digestion and i frequently needed a help from laxative, if i don’t use them i got constipation and it irritates me for a really long time). Now i understand my body better and I fast 48-72hr once a week. It’s getting a lot better
Everything you said is applicable on long covid too
I became lactose intolerant and developed IBS after moving to Toronto in 2022. I have suffered from PCOD related haemorrhaging 3 times. And currently I am taking dchiro inositol and probiotics.
Can confirm that the L Reuteri yogurt and taking b vitamins is very beneficial for gut health. Thank you for the great video!
Notice any of the other touted benefits like muscle/oxytocin? Influencers seem to overblow the effects of these aspects compared to aneqdotes
@@GoodVibesOnly1914 I can honestly say yes. I’m a regular gym goer and my strength is at the same level as when I regularly took creatine(which I haven’t used for a long time). I’ve been eating the yogurt daily and experience vivid dreams also. When I first saw the list of proposed benefits I was skeptical, but out of all the supplements or products I’ve ingested, this actually has merit.
Did you make the yogurt yourself and did you buy a yogurt machine?
@andrewparker3689 awesome! Im going to try another batch tonight. I have for sure noticed a change in the last 2 months in my physique just by adding kefir and sourkrout. Although i also had a massive candita dieoff, so that could be why. People all the sudden makkng random comments about my forarms and traps and i havent changed my routine, leaner and thicker. Hopefully l ruteri helps even more
wich b vitamins and where are you sourcing th L Reuteri yoghurt? I'm in UK btw
Thank you so much for your video. My whole life I have IBS and went to so many tests and everything and I kind of was okay with it but since a few weeks ins not only in my gut, I have a lot of pain in my stomach as well and I try to find every possible thing that could help me, so I will try out everything to be okay again
This video is amazing. Thank you so much for all of this information.
Glad it was helpful!
So pleased i found you,i was being treated for mold poisoning, when my treatment ended i was very sick and sore (inflammation) still am.My nutritionist gave me all the necessary pills as i was in bed for 4months completely out of it..the charcoal took it out of me..

Beautifully put together video
Glad you liked it
I recently found out i have a small sliding hiatus hernia in my stomach which is causing me alot of digestive and physical issues , I'll definitely look into this
What a great video and explanation, with SUPER useful tips. You have outdone yourself on this one. Thanks a lot!
When I ate the Carnivore diet, I couldn't poop. If I did, it was pebbles...for a couple years. Once I started eating leaner cuts of meat along with a lot of fruit, I am doing great now. The CD also gave me hyperglycemia from too much fat!
I feel best when fasting for a few days ✨💖✨
You are a good man for posting this video.
SIBO im treating. Rifaximin is another local antibiotic that is effective for many .
i tried that and sadly it did not work still bloated every damn day 24/7 no matter what i eat or drink.
so eat nothing?@@FoB39
@@FoB39 If motility is still bad then the antibiotic becomes redundant
A game changer was a stool analysis for me to add priobiotics for missing bacterias
