- A longer video than normal, filmed over 2 days in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK.
We visit an estuary for oysters ten the following day we visit a bay to forage for the other ingredients for the kebabs and cook them there. on day 2 we were accompanied y some wonderful people from the USA for a foraging course. One of which is a marine biologist working on Chesapeake Bay , Maryland. She also makes exceptional natural jewellery ( you can find her online as " Minxes Trinkets"). This video was again filmed and edited by Jon Berg of "Digital Tiger" and I wish to thank him for his hard work!
Llew helping you dig the sand was so wholesome
He's great company , regards Craig
Love the dog lol
As madness and darkness spreads here in London , seeing Craig and his beautiful smart as a button dog going about foraging as our ancestors have done for thousands of years was such a pick me up tonic sorely needed in this doom n gloom media climate. Put Craige on national TV followed by re runs of Jack Hargrieves "About Town" would be a public service well recieved and needed.
Very good of you to say so, kind regards and stay safe, Craig
14,757 deaths to covid-19 this year..... 109,717 Seasonal flu deaths this year. These are world figures. The pandemic is being over egged to bring in mandatory testing, vaccinations and digital currency...among other things...this is about making money and control. The virus does not attack the weak and vulnerable but targets the old 0-9 have no deaths worldwide!...You can check figures from worldometers info
@@VladimirOnOccasion Please, this is a video about coastal foraging; not about governments and vaccinations.
@ Vlad the miserable. . . I bet your a right barrel of fun to be around at the dinner table. I estimate 1hr of being in your company would make me want to French kiss strangers in China town just so I could quarantined away from you.
Right wing knight: I see u.
3:54 "we'll put it back and let it breed." *Dog starts eating all of them
😆
Toby Campbell 😂
Great to see you are safe and well .... you’re the man Craig 👍👊🏻
Hope to post many more if I can Lee, regards Craig
I m stuck in my house, really bored. Thanks for this vid. salam from Malaysia
Glad to have helped , regards Craig
you are more likely to die of the Seasonal flu...this is about making money and control. You can check figures from worldometers info
Good to see you ( and Llew!) Doing well Craig! With the whole coronavirus hitting Europe ( and specially Spain, where I live :( ) I really found peace in your video and even relaxed as I watched it.
Stay safe and thank you for the quality content. I want to save up to book a course with you and hopefully bring my sister with me too! :)
Hugs from Spain!
I couldn’t have clicked on this any faster! So excited to see a new vid! Thanks Craig ❤️
I hope you like it Teri, regards Craig

Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for the kind words :)
Oh my goodness Llew is adorable😍 what a great helper!!!
Hi Emma, Llew is a good friend and great company, regards Craig
I've got a question Craig, how did you gain all of this knowledge about foraging? Because I want to some day learn about this and go foraging myself
It's self taught from a lifetimes interest in the coastal environment and an intimate knowledge of the 150 miles of coastline I have access to, kind regards Craig
@@coastalforagingwithcraigev8447 thank you. I guess I'll try to teach myself as well haha.
So inspirational, I've been following your channel for a while and the wholesome content never fails to make me smile. When the quarantine is over my buddy and I are doing the south west coastal path so I'm brushing up on my coastal foraging. Keep it real Craig, looking forward to the next vid. Stay safe.
That looks delicious Mr Evans!!!!!
How funny only this weekend over here in Northern Denmark we collect ed some huge Mussells thanks to a very very low tide!
I also dug a bucket full of soft shell Clams for My bait store (big Plaice and flounder love em)
However I did not know you could eat em 🤔
Many thanks , have you tried to eat the clams yourself? Kind regards Craig
Oh Im gonna try eating Them now 😋🥂🍾
I love watching your videos Craig. Glad to see you are well. Much love from Massachusetts, USA
Loving the videos, can you recommend any good books on the subject though as I can’t seem to find any decent ones online.
Hi Llew, hi Craig. Good to see you guys!
Great to be back one38_Eats, regards Craig and Llew
Great video as always Craig. Glad to see you an your pup are doing well. Stay safe out their with everything going on. And keep the awesome content coming..
Thank you Roy, Llew is now 3 and a half years old now! regards Craig
Invasive species today. Well established, naturalized part of local ecosystem several thousands of years later. It's natural part of the species migration process. We humans just speeded it up considerably.
Quite correct, regards Craig
It would maybe appear that the youtube algorithm has blessed me with your video. I got this recommended in my feed, and despite its complete absence of correlation with the rest of the content I watch, it was very enjoyable. Nice dog, too.
Glad to see you still doing well. With everyone sitting at home when you get back at this perhaps you could comment on the changes that may or may not have occurred to your eye from a foraging perspective.
Llews so cute when he was helping you dig lol
Hi Craig, Love your videos! out of curiosity, you forage around both carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, are there large differences in terms of what is available to forage? Diolch o Gaerdydd!
Glad you like them Pablo, Carmarthenshire has mainly flat shallow beaches , sand dune systems and estuaries, whilst Pembrokshire has more rocky headlands and a greater diversity of habitats and ecosystems, with the related species, kind regards and Diolch, hwyl Craig
Always so happy to see Llew helping out :)))
a 22 minute sweeping epic...YOu guys ahve come along so far congrats. And of course the star of the show Doggy is in as well! :D Good job boys, love the video, much better audio!
Many thanks Max, wind can ruin audio on the coast, regards Craig
@@coastalforagingwithcraigev8447 Check out that lapel mic I sent you guys a while back, that'll sort you out.
Wait why am I here? Why was this in my recommended?
Because it's relaxing and wholesome!
10:17 The dog trying to dig with the owner XDDD
Is it weird that I kinda want to see you skip oysters like stones on the water?
LOL, regards Craig

Hi Craig,
Thanks! Your videos will help keep me sane over this time.
Loved the swans getting a mention!
Sacha ( human swan)
Hi Sacha I hope you are well, this is one of the places I hoped to take you and your team, to learn about finding wild food and foraging.Stay safe (and sane ) Craig x

Wonderful to see the scarlet elf caps again - haven't seen them since I was a boy during my amazing foraging adventures in Devon; chanterelles, parasols and more a plenty.

Videos like these will keep me sane during this virus outbreak. Keep safe Craig. As soon as this blows over I'm booking a course with you.
I'll try and make some more during the outbreak (if I'm allowed to ), regards Craig

Currently drooling. Looks super yummy.
Another great video craig loved it a lot. Stay safe.
Great watch Craig, very interesting thanks, 👍
I had missed your videos. Glad to see you are doing well.
Where does this fire log come from every clip?
Were those poor creaturers boiled alive.?
such quality content great job
Greetings from north Devon...on the other side
Hey Craig. Another stunning video. I’ve never tasted oysters , but would love to. I do think, that you should run a camping, survival, coastal course, and teach people (me included), how to live off the land for a few days. I’ll be first on the list if it’s possible?
Hi Tim, I run courses, details on my website www.coastalforaging.co.uk, kind regards Craig
Craig, your presentation of the food is superb. Even a swanky London restaurant that charges eye watering prices for minimal food , doesn’t present things as good as you. It’s fantastic. I’m hungry now. 👍 we have to meet up...?
Many thanks Tim, I do run Coastal Foraging courses you can find details on www.coastalforaging.co.uk , regards Craig
Wonderful foraging video! Love your channel!❤❤❤👍👍👍
Thank you Jennie, glad you like it ,regards Craig
can the oysters be eaten raw ? great video
Enjoyed the video very much. No coastal regions to forage in Wyoming here in the USA but we do have morel mushrooms and lakes and streams.
Many thanks again 416 rem , I hope the weather has warmed up for you now, regards Craig
He said, "It's not dead or alive." (the crab) So, what ELSE could it be?
Schrodinger's crab.
LOl, it wasn't either , it was it's old shell, it sheds this to grow , then grows a new shell. Like a change of clothes really. Kind regards Craig
Does he ever do none coast foraging?
Watching from mauritius.
No one can do coastal foraging better than you Craig. Your kebab looks lovely and delicious
Thank you Oliver the kebabs were very tasty, regards Craig
Truly enjoy your contents sir..keep them coming..you have a lot to showcase💖😇👍
I hope you continue to live a long and happy life sir. God bless you!
One day kind sir I will book a ticket from the US and come find you and have you teach me first hand how to forage.
You will e made very welcome, regards Craig
The dog completes this ❤️
Great video and so much in depth knowledge about the local history! Did not know you could find North American oysters in Pembrokeshire!
Just found you from Smash Fishing channel and thought I’d check you out because I love the guys on Smash Fishing and like watching foraging for sea food.
Thanks. Brings back memories of foraging as a child, we would eat winkles with vinegar and pulled out with a pin. Delish.
Sorry but unsubscribed due to too many adds. Still love what u do .
I don't decide on the ads Murphy-ads contribute to "some" of the costs of making the videos, kind regards Craig !
Thanks for the video Craig. Llew was great! Hope you are all doing ok in these trying times!
Craig your videos are always so informative and easy to watch, well done, and I've never seen such a happy dog,
Cool foraging. Over cooked and rubbery though my dude :(
Beautiful, I will also buy a retriever one day. Just the perfect dog.
Darn I’m 5 days late 🥺. I always love your videos Craig! 💛
i feel like I am on purpose trying to inherit a lisp when trying to pronounce "LLew" XD
Hello nice too see you back, enjoyed your video as usual.
Glad to e back, thank you Patricia, regards Craig
Are there any pickings in North Wales?
There are many areas of North Wales that are great for coastal foraging, I would ask a local. Happy foraging, regards Craig
Looooooove your vids 👍👍👍
Awe I love seeing Llew help ❤ such a cutie 🐶!
Stay safe Craig 😁
Everyone else panic buying the last scraps from the shelves and Craig's out foraging a right feast.
Plenty out there if you don't take too much (and know where to look) , regards Craig
@@coastalforagingwithcraigev8447 once this virus is out of the way I'll be back out there :)
That was a good-looking kebab, too bad it's not used in thumb nail!
You are too good Craig
Nice opening. You’re the classiest lad on the coast.
Lovely looking good Craig. I know you know your coastline intimately but how would you go about checking water quality in a new area? Are there indicator species or an online test source? Cheers. 🤘
Hi my_scotland , I use an app called Safer Seas Service, it gives you alerts of any water quality issues around the UK, regards Craig
@@coastalforagingwithcraigev8447 nice one. Thank you. 🤘
I think you should do a collad with The Fish Locker one day
The taste of the sea doesn't get any closer than this.
I love you 😘
Thank you , regards Craig
Hope you will reach the TH-cam silver button soon 🥰
please keep the videos basic love u man

Tony
Thank you Tony, many more recipe ideas to come, regards Craig
@@coastalforagingwithcraigev8447 If I get another opportunity to get back across to you in Pembrokeshire, I'd like to make a 'paella' style rice dish with foraged clams, mussels and seaweeds, wild garlic! Perhaps one day :-)
