Omg this looks so familiar 🤣🤣I used To have to go through this all the time! Thankfully my hair has grown out over 22 inches now and I don’t have to deal with extensions anymore but doing your own is soooo much work! Loved this video tho even tho I don’t wear extensions anymore I used to wear at minimum, 400 grams of hair

Not a stylist, but I do my own hair coloring, extensions, etc. I’m about to dabble into the hand tied’s but my hair is short so I have been thinking that I may need a few tapes to fill in gaps. But also, I thought that’s pretty excessive and I’m sure no one does that 🙃 BUT! This video made me understand that it doesn’t matter🤷🏼♀️ do what you want with YOUR hair!! Thank you for this!!

I LOVE your thick hair!! I know this is old and you’re a brunette now💕 but Same struggle, I have naturally dense hair and my stylist and I don’t agree on what looks right! I love her but I am definitely buying at least two more packs the next time I get my tapes moved up. We only used three this time and I’m such a perfectionist it’s driving me insane!!

My gosh i remember over the covid lockdowns where people were removing their own wefts when they couldn't get to their hairdresser. I have taken a break for over a year from hair extensions, but hope to get the weft back in again for the spring and summer ❤🙏❤
I totally ruined my hair when I removed the tape-ins I had done at Ulta during the pandemic when they were locked down. My hair is just now back to normal, so it took a long time because a lot of it got ripped out!

I can relate as I also have the fine texture but a lot of it, and I’ve put 4 bags of extensions in my own hair + adding clip ins on top of it 😂 feeling like I can add a lil halo on top

I'm a hairstylist, and I can 100% relate. I feel like I need +300g of hair in, and I have this constant argument with my stylist because she is constantly disagreeing with me and basically refuses 🙄😮💨😤
Me too… I have a LOT of hair and I got 2 rows put in and she chopped away at my real hair and made it really thin and I still look like I have a mullet. ABSOLUTELY REFUSES to put more hair in. And I have tensions bumps now about a month later..
Well if you experience that find a new hairstylist. The fact is that if they put more g in they won’t be able to ask ridiculous high price. The trick is always put less & ask more for it.☺️

I've worn extensions for years and I've always worn either 380- 480g lol it's looks more real that way and helps blends them small bits haha

This is so interesting to me! I have very very fine hair to mid back, and I have 150gm of 24 inches extension, and I love that they are sooooo thick (you cannot see through them at all for the entire length). Do you cut into the extensions much? Because I don't have short layers I don't really need to cut them so I basically keep the entite weight.

I have weft extensions in and I have wat the stylist said is a "dip" in them where when I put them up in a pony tail they bend and the band is pointy sorry doesthat make sense and is this normal? It feels like the band is gonna break in half (can it?)thanks
I only wear 100-120grams and it's a struggle to wash it let alone how long extensions take to blow dry, I can't imagine that much!! But your hair always looks perfect!

Whats the difference between a normal machine weft and a cozy?
A full thick head of hair really suits you, I just couldn't pull it off. I'm better off with the natural look with extensions.
I think you're brave to be so truthful about that. Most other hairdressers never reveal the real amount of hair extensions that they wear.
No wonder I look like I have a motley 🤷♀️🤦♀️...my hair stylist only put on me not even a whole pack 😒...now I still have to pit on some clips in....loved your video clip 👍
It’s better to know the true bc if anyone is like me, we choose to use your extensions bc of how they look on you and others around you. And to get that look we have to know how it’s achievable. Thank you!
I love your hair color and the intro, anyways I had purchased the Zala ice queen platinum #60, I just received them and they I like a medium blonde. Can you dye your extensions or tone the, I really wish I could send you a picture of the extension I’ve bought from the company over the years they are supposed to be platinum and they’re not I did contact the company and they said if I wanted them really quickly that I could purchase another set and then they would refund me the money I just spent $400 I don’t have another $400 right now to buy another set.Could you please recommend something anything

I’m wearing about 600 grams right now (four rows of beaded sew ins). Honestly, it’s not bad until I wash it… Once the water is in it, you REALLY feel the weight. I keep clips and scrunchies in the shower to hold my hair up while the conditioner is in it.
When you said “I’m sitting on my bed watching Netflix while doing this” I’m literally sitting on my bed sewing my wefts and watching your video, hairdresser things lol. 😅🥰

I would like to purchase but new to this. I feel like my stylist charges way too much for one weft of hair. Which hair should I purchase for the hand sew in? Machine weft or hand tied? I'm confused. Oh my gosh, I can't imagine how heavy that would feel when you wash it and how long it would take to blow dry! I just put tape ins in and we only did about 75 grams (I have baby fine hair) and I despise washing and drying it! Lol

Great video! I know this is old but just curious why you dont just do 2 rows of the cozy wefts and then maybe a few tapes here and there? Why only 1 cozy weft? Do you prefer tapes over the hand tied? I have 2 rows of handtied wefts with 7 wefts on the top one and 6 on the bottom one. My stylist says this is alot of hair but I dont feel like it is. Atleast for me anyways. I guess Im more like Jessi. I like alot of hair and my own hair is shorter like hers and mine is thin. Now Im trying to figure out what to do for more hair. Where should they be placed since I have 2 rows of handtied at the back.Should I just add some tapes to the sides of my head maybe? Or some smaller mini rows at the side of hand tied wefts? I feel like that area needs more fullness? I just want more hair! LOL

Hello this my first time wearing extensions and I've been wearing them for 3months and my string that they use keeps coming off they said that I keep snagging it but I don't ever brush on top of my hair because it doesn't get tangle I don't curl my hair unless I'm going out which is rare when I wash i only wash then 2 a week because I notice they get heavy mind you i use a hair clipping away from the extensions when I brush i brush from the bottom to top but away from extensions string part when I brush from top its my hair and I separate that hair from my extensions i tell them its the string is no good but they keep blaming me when I am not rough with my hair I have 22 in my hair so maybe you can me on what I'm doing wrong or do they need to double loop i have them sewed in HELP!!! I WANT to buy your string to give to my hair styles to see if that will work better but I also need advice thanks

So my hair is thin but thickISH at the same time. I ALWAYS want more and more hair when I do my extensions. I think everyone likes the fullness of having the hair because I know I do 😁

How much is it to do the amount you did on yourself?
I use 500 grams myself! My hair is super thick and i definitely got used to wearing a lot. Any less and i don’t look “myself”. No one needs that much but i personally like it. I’ve had extensions since the 6th grade and i’m used to it. When i do tapes i need so many. It’s typically 500 grams either way. I always do two packs of thick extensions in 26’. And i grab around 10 packs of tape ins and have two left usually.
Curious where the hair comes from? I just saw a video about where hair extensions come from and it freaked me out a little 😭
What did the video say about the source of the hair?
they use to have a section on their website that says it’s ethically sourced and they pay women to sew the hair that otherwise wouldn’t have an income but I can’t find it anywhere!
I’m a licensed stylist but I’ve been at stay at home for 4 years. My hair is very similar to yours I have a shelf in the front from where I damaged it from over bleaching. :/ where is your salon and are you accepting new clients?! I need hair like yours!

I guessed 360grams!!! I used to have 350 to 400grams of weft when I was younger. My hair is super super thick, now my hair is super healthy I can't have extentions as my hair is toooo thick xxx

My dear Jessi, From the bottom of my heart I will tell you I followed you for the last maybe 4 years?.... You have outdone expectations and I am happy for you. Having said that I really need to tell you also that you are looking less and less like that girl so gorgeous and young looking naturally. Please , pleaseeeeee stop putting fillers on your face and lips. You started to look like many actresses out there than do not stop and will not look natural anymore. You are so beautiful natural and no need for all these changes. Believe me you are so pretty and you are now covering that. Nothing wrong with better teeth and eyelashes but your face is beautiful natural. I urge you to think it through. I say this and hope you do not take it as an attack. It isn't. Thank you for the advice. But this is a risky very offensive and I don’t appreciate it. My face, my decisions. I get Botox and under eye filler to help with dark circles and I feel comfortable with those decisions. Do you really think commenting a huge paragraph about someone’s appearance and how they’re not looking good or young anymore is a good idea? I understand your trying to come from a good place but sometimes things are better left unsaid.

apparently, we're the same person lmao, this is literally my life as a hairstylist i somehow manage to put in my own extensions and it takes me about 2 days or so to finish my hair because then I have a hairstylist fix what i can't see haha
i also have a lot of hair so i need a lot of extensions to fill in my hair!

I buy bundles… So if my math is correct in terms of bundles that’s almost 4… Blending in with your natural hair. Wow, that is thick! But it doesn’t look too thick/heavy.. it just looks like healthy hair

I know you’ll probably never see this because this video is a year old, but I have the same problem with my hair. My natural texture is a 2C/3A, but I have fine hair just very dense. I always have to tell my hair dresser’s to add an extra hour or two to the appointment because I have way more hair than it looks like. I also like to wear about the same amount of hair as you because I’ve tried 180g, 200g and 250g but I always feel like you can see where my hair ends and the extensions begin even with blending. I just have so much hair! Lol

Wow that is insane the amount of hair you have on your scalp. I'm sorry, but I just don't think that that can possibly be healthy for your scalp. The sheer weight of all of these extensions on your own hair has to cause stress and breakage no matter how it's applied. That being said, I think you look much better with the short hair than with all those extensions.
Your hair looks better without extensions just sayin ..or maybe if the extensions were shorter and not so much hair . Just my opinion it’s just too much
