I had tons of fun working on this video, and I hope you guys enjoy!! What other SeaWing subtribes can you think of, and which of these is your favorite? 👀 Question of the day: Favorite gameplay channels? My answer: FuhNaff and Markiplier!
I think Icewings could also have a good subtribe-ones that live outside the palace. Their colors would be duller than the royal icewings, in order to blend in. They’d look more like arctic animals, like they have antlers and hooves or different shaped claws to break the ice.
I’ve made an IceWing sub tribe before! I was thinking about calling them Snowwings or Arcticwings or smth. Their a tribe that has shorter and fewer spikes, Can see well in the dark and can dig very well, probably because they live in tunnels and ravines they’ve digged pretty deep under snow. They’re tunnels connect to the sea where they can swim and hunt, they can hold their breath for three hours and have slightly wider tails and some webbing on their feet and even between their tail spikes. Just like any IceWing, they can of course breath frostbreath
I also think there should be NightWing subtribes too, Volcanic NightWings, Mountain NightWings, and Rainforest Nightwings. Not entirely sure on the dimorphism aspect though. Trimorphism? Idk
Perhaps the Volcanic ones would be smaller, leaner and sharper claws for climbing and attacking prey, the Mountain ones can be a little bigger, with richer colors and not longer, but slightly hooked claws, again for climbing but also for pursuing their passions, particularly painting and writing, because I think the NightWings would be the first to discover writing. They’d also be less thin than the Volcanic ones. The rainforest ones would be the largest and have more saturated colors. They would have a combination of long and hooked claws, and would not be thin. Though there might not have been enough time for this to occur
I have a subtribe of skywings for my fan continent known as Weatherwings which were the early animus skywings when they started killing them off. Weatherwings are basically skywings but more elemental falling into 3 categories, heatwaves, blizzards and thunderstorms.
Edit: I wrote this before I watched the part about Abysswings! A few years ago I made a tribe similar to the Twilightwings and Midnightwings! They're called Trenchwings(great name I know). They live in the Midnight and Abyssal zones and are loosely based off of lantern fish and manta rays. They have bioluminescent wings and underscales, which are usually blue, green, or red, and their scales darker variants of those colors. They have slow metabolism, so they only need to eat every few weeks. They have very limited vision and short, thick wings, making it very difficult to fly, and since they rarely go near the surface, other dragon tribes hardly know they exist. The tribe who knows them best are seawings, because their queens will meet occasionally and sometimes lowly farmers will wander closer to the surface. They have a young queen, but their territory is gigantic, meaning there's a whole ring of Trench wings who are barely in contact with the rest of the tribe and whose knowledge is completely outdated. Since they VERY rarely come to the surface, they only use aquatic and only very few dragons know any Dragontongue. Because their territory is so huge and difficult to defend, they aren't very territorial and don't care about war, but the new queen is trying to change this in order to preserve food. Since other tribes aren't much of a problem, one way they do it is monitoring the local predator population so the prey population can grow. She's not too successful so far lol >) She and the main part of the tribe live in a vast network of natural tunnels in the side of a cliff halfway down one of the deepest trenches in Pyrrhia, filled inside and out with bioluminescent plants and small animals making it one of the only places in Trenchwing territory that's easy to find, but they spend much of their time floating in the nothingness, hunting and foraging for food. They also have a much smaller cave closer to the surface for meetings with other tribes. The main trench goes so deep, there are nothing but stories of the brave dragons who dared to venture to the bottom and lived to tell the tale. (MC Vibes anyone???) So yeah those are my Trenchwings! (lmk if you want to hear about my other sea tribe![Which happens to also be named Reefwings!])
Closest Species we got to Subtribes are the PoisonWings and SapWings. I remember when I first heard about PoisonWings I was so excited because a Poison based tribe actually sounds really cool, so I was a bit disappointed when I found out that it was just a sub species of LeafWings. WoF subtribes are a very cool concept! (Props to piper for that). If there would be more on subtribes I'd suggest looking at LeafWings. In the far future, I would definitely see them evolving to be more specific to biomes (jungle, coniferous, temperate, etc.) P.S. I agree. Plus, I, also, imagine the abysswings to be almost entirely blind as there eye’s can’t deal with that low of light down there. But, I still like all of these ideas!❤❤
I think the idea of having the sections of the ocean as sub tribes would be so cool! My sister is writing a book that has a very similar idea for her seabound dragons, the Midnight zone dragons, the twilight zone dragons and the daylight zone
So i thought of a wof dragon called a thunderwing, basically a little dragon with bricles that help them absorb lightnight for warmth and energy, their similar enough to a skywing and has their own kind of fire scales i call spark scales(they have more lighting then other thunderwings) i want to talk about these guys but theres soooo much to talk about on ;-;
I think spacewings should be its own, entirely different tribe. Heck I have an entire page of where spacewings would live, what they would look like, their abilities, etc. Desc: purplish, occasionally indigo scales, with their wings dotted with rainbow specks like stars and galaxies, mace-like tail tip, swirled in horns, forked yellow tongues Abilities: Can breathe anywhere, even in space, can see over miles away(on command ofc), can stun/kill anyone with their mace-like tails Queen: Queen Sun Habitat: SpaceWings thrive on their own planet, planet Dragonita, which is to be known as a purple, dusty, yet beautiful planet(also ironically matching their scales). I personally have a rain wing sub tribe but I feel like there would almost be a union of tribes of rain-wings in history of them and mine lived by the mud wing border so they have a distinct culture
This totally should happen! I actually remember this one artist (I think it was by StudioMaverick?) who actually created a SeaWing subtribe called TrenchTails. I don't know if this is fully accurate, but I think they were supposed to be some kind of evolution of the SeaWing tribe who lived deeper in the ocean . . . ? They had their own culture and everything. It was pretty cool. I remember seeing it on tumbler or something and thinking it was pretty interesting. Anyways, I really liked this idea. And who knows? Maybe Tui will create a subtribe eventually!
Oh my gosh I really love the idea of sub tribes I actually thought about them as well a few months ago and had made tons of fan art of them that will sadly never be seen like what if some mud wings inhabited more of the mountains? Or the Sand wings who live more of a brutal deserted life style? Or Sky wings who prefer the forest? My most favorite bizarre one is a rain wing tribe that lives it’s life on the ground spending most of their lives in burrows like their waiting to ambush someone or something, it’s pretty cool. These sea wing sub tribes are so amazing that’s exactly what I was thinking like, why don’t they add a sea wing sub species like there’s so much water and we know there’s a whole other continent to. I like to think of the sub tribes having slightly different features to them like with the one I made that had a longer sail fin and a tail similar to that of a whales for more deep diving where powerful swimming is needed for the low pressure. If your curious I called them Trench Wings. But in all seriousness I love all these sub species I would die for a sea wing sub species in the book series that makes seashell necklaces in their free time it sounds so adorable. ❤️ Sorry if this was a bit of a nerd rant but I just really adore the idea and hope I get to see it more in the near future.😅
If this was for silkwings or RainWings I’d be so happy! Wild silkwings that are more feisty and since the first few would have been flamesilks they have a tendency to like fire and because more of them will become flamesilks. They could also adapt to swing on their silk and don’t really make tapestries. I think the colours of these silkwings would be more grey and dull like ” wild” RainWings.
I made a seawing subtribe called deepwings a while back, they looked like a more elongated slender seawing with a longer more hooked snout and more bio scales, theyre bottem jaw also had scale teeth things on them witch stuck out above the top jaw-i imagined theyd be pretty akward to talk to, sence they only ever spoke akwatic (sence they havr more glow scales, the form of akwatic they spoke was a bit more complex), they lived in the ocean area between the two contenets
Since they live in the deep dark depths of the oceans, wouldn’t midnightwings and abysswings lose the ability to audibly speak, or even retain the ability to breathe air??
For some reason when i first started reading wof (i was young and stupid) i made this group of Rainwing and leafwing ocs called "Children of the Meadow" and im honestly confused what young me was thinking
I love the idea that there also might be Riverwings, or something, similar to how the Zora from LoZ habe both an ocean variety and a river or freshwater variety!!
I kind of have my own subtribe, I called them Reefwings. They are a wyvern like dragon. If we want to get really simple, they’re essentially a seawing mixed with a stingray. As their name suggests they live in Coral reefs. Other than their diet being similar to that of stingrays, I haven’t really fully flushed them out.
I've had a few floating in my brain but never used them- ReefWings which live near the coast, WaveWings which are the "main" ones in the series, TrenchWings which live near ocean floor, and CurrentWings which live in rivers inland.
I think the reefwings are a cool idea. i think that they should be able to change color to any color of the reef to blend in when a tribe invades. like the rainwings do to blend in with their surroundings.
Def like the idea of subtribes but for every tribe! Maybe even making hybrids their own tribes with enough of them! But anyways I think that SeaWings should have more of a variety of scale colors considering they are kinda like fish. Don’t you think an orange SeaWing would look cool? Or a red one? Or a yellow one? Can’t you imagine a Nemo SeaWing lol
I actually had an idea in my WoF universe where some seawings lived in the abyss! Though I never really implemented it because I didn’t really develop it and I’m doing an overhaul on my fanfic :P They were basically just pale colored and _slightly_ insane (due to being closed off to the seawings that typically lived in the midnight zone or something). I imagined them to have lures :)
Tidal wings (their Norse cousins) the river wings (think bayou and southern creole), they could be fun, the river wings could be a subspecies or a hybrid of a mudwing and a seawing. Anywho, awesome video!
This honestly is such a good idea, I mean surely not all the seawings would live in or around the places, their must be places like under water villages scattered about like what we see in the ice kingdom, so it stands to reason there would be at least some minor differences between them. Be it color, how they act, or what they value, ect
All of these are so awesome! I've never had any special fondness for SeaWings (nothing against them), but this was still really cool to watch! I'd love to see more of them! I think I'd probably be a TwilightWing or MidnightWing, if I had to guess lol!
They all sound very neat, i can think of a subtribe for SandWings, were they live under the sand in like tunnels they made, like some desert animals do, i would be intrested in stories with them
I know someone who is making a game called wings of light who made a seawing sub tribe called siren wings. They even made a wof military server of them
Abyss wings wouldn't just be mysterious but terrifying, if were bringing science in the mix, they could go a long time without food, have excellent vision in the dark, are nearly invisible in dark areas, extremely quiet and fast. If they ever came up to the higher levels of the ocean they would be stronger than almost everybody or faster. Abysswings would be terrifying, also if i really had to choose, seawings are my favorite type of dragon as they have actual traditions than most other tribes and are a treat to read about.
I would like to see arc 4 be about the giant sea serpents and krakens that are on the maps. they would be 10 times bigger than dragons, and live only in deep waters, unlike seawings who have to spend at least some time near or on land. Only the seawings know a little about them. this might actually happen because clearsight writes about not disturbing the kraken in dragonfly bay in A Guide To The Dragon World.
I think it would be cool for riverwings to exist. Me and my cousin made them up for a wings of fire thing. They would probably be in just fresh water places like rivers and ponds! We didn't really make up much stuff 😅
I actually had an idea for a fanfic set 10,000 years in the future, and it has SeaWing subspecies. (If you don't want to read the summary, there's a TL;DR at the end that'll give you an idea.) 5000 years into the future, the SeaWing Queen Luminescent had seven female eggs, a miracle to the queen but a disaster to King Cyclone and the rest of the tribe. So they tried to convince the Queen to pick one and adopt the rest, which she refused. She wanted all her daughters in her life, and one egg had already been stolen. And she couldn't go through that again. 6 years later, the queen and one of their sisters die of a SeaWing plague, and the sisters are left to decide who will be queen; they can't, and to avoid a SeaWing succession, they flee to opposite corners of the world taking their supporters with them. Queen Abyss would flee to the trenches; their bioluminescent scales would glow brighter over time. They would lose their ability to breathe on land and talk and become powerful ambush predators. They would become TrenchWings. Princess Tempest: She would flee to the many islands between Pyrrhia and Pantala. They would evolve tough colored scales to withstand the typhoons that occur there; legend has it that some gained the ability to control the typhoons that once terrorized them. They became StormWings. Princess Bay: She and the vast majority of SeaWings went to the coral reefs just off the coast of the RainWing Queendom; with the permission of Queen Quetzalcoatl, they took refuge in a coastline raining village, where they partake in intertribal breeding. Over time, this would give them a variety of scale colors and the ability to secrete venom through their skin. They became ReefWings. Princess Ultramarine would flee to the rivers and lakes bordering the Ice Queendom. Despite nearly dying out due to the cold, those left would become used to the cold environment, even gaining the ability to breathe ice. They became FrigidWings Princess Tranquility: She and her followers would remain at the old SeaWing Palace and eventually become known as “True SeaWings.” TL;DR To avoid an all-out SeaWing war, the five sisters flee to opposite sides of the world and evolve into the SeaWing subspecies.
No reply yet? I can help though, the continent names both begin with P and btw they are bug body parts so maybe serch 'bug body parts that begin with P' idk but hope this helps
I have a headcannon that sea wings that live deeper in the sea have longer whiskers to help hunt and have glow scails to aid telling face extraction because of it being dark Also deeper a sea wing lives less English they know and some that have probably never brethed air before
Im so in love with the Abysswings I NEED Tui to do a concept like this or I'm gonna cry 😭😅 This gets me thinking for other subtribes, like if Rainwings lived in a normal woodland rather than rainforest 🤔
See in my AU the fauna are equal in size to dragons as they are irl humans so sharks are huge, but unlike humans who don't taste good to many animals dragons DO. So my Seawings live on the coastal tail islands and barely venture too far into the open ocean, as they fear the large predatory sea life, including some extinct animals such as the giant carnivorous livyatan whale. So their glow scales are used in moderation.
I had a similar idea to the Abysswings, though I called them the Leviathanwings or just Leviathans, they are giant, and Eldredge, they are so massive that most seawings who see them treat them like gods, can you blame them? If you saw a mountain sized human, wouldn't you think it was a god? Because of the effect they have, the royal seawing family keep it under wraps, not because their harmful, Queen Coral simply can't take someone being more popular then her. The Leviathans are similar size to Darkstalker, some bigger or smaller, multen rock cools and fuses to their bodies, making natural armor, and they eat from thermal vents at the bottom. Their structures are often massive, with a hallway being able to fit two legions of dragons. They are so long living that they have knowledge you would not find anywhere else, though, perhaps it's better that way. (Sorry if Leviathanwing is already taken, I'm not deep in the world of fan tribes.)
I also have a fan continent:D There not linked with the scorching tho- Deep sea wings ( I do not have a good name yet-) There just a bit more bulky then normal sea wings and they a have a VERY dark palette there scales can almost be pitch black like a night wings so they can blend in and catch fish or any other deep sea creatures some dragons that have encountered them they say “they have pure white eyes that glow like the moon” Religion Like the ice wings they have a god like dragon that the worship unfortunately I don’t have a name for this dragon but they also do have shrines every full moon each dragon travels to the closest shrine to bring an offering the offerings can be shells bones fish or jewelry the better the offering the better luck they are given by this god like dragon since there limited food down there Language They also speck aquatic but some dragons or dragonets that are born in high ranking families have a chance of learning dragon by being taken up to the shore at night and being taught by dragons who already know if your wondering why they are taken out only at night it’s because they are a very secretive tribe but dragon is slowly becoming a extinct language Names There usually just named by fish at live in twilight zone and the deep part of the ocean And that’s what I have if you guys have a name ideas for the god like dragon pls reply:D
This is cool I never really liked seawings much they're just kinda boring and we don't get much about their way of life in the books I think I would like them better if this was included for sure
Try the rain wing sub tribes cuz i have on poison wing are not the same as rain due to what color is what attack purple is death green is knock out and yellow is you can not move at all only the queens and heirs death color is diff and normaly they have poison base name like buckeye or blood ivy and thats all they story from me plz pin

My au, that is set in 6000 includes a sea wing named koi, one without gills! It was because his heritage dwelled the beaches and islands.
👀
I think the reefwings are a cool idea.
i think that they should be able to change color to any color of the reef to blend in when a tribe invades. like the rainwings do to blend in with their surroundings.
Def like the idea of subtribes but for every tribe! Maybe even making hybrids their own tribes with enough of them! But anyways I think that SeaWings should have more of a variety of scale colors considering they are kinda like fish. Don’t you think an orange SeaWing would look cool? Or a red one? Or a yellow one? Can’t you imagine a Nemo SeaWing lol
ORANGE SEAWINGS WOULD BE SO COOL
I actually had an idea in my WoF universe where some seawings lived in the abyss! Though I never really implemented it because I didn’t really develop it and I’m doing an overhaul on my fanfic :P
They were basically just pale colored and _slightly_ insane (due to being closed off to the seawings that typically lived in the midnight zone or something).
:DD
They all sound very neat, i can think of a subtribe for SandWings, were they live under the sand in like tunnels they made, like some desert animals do, i would be intrested in stories with them
I know someone who is making a game called wings of light who made a seawing sub tribe called siren wings. They even made a wof military server of them
I always thought a firescales sub tribe of the sky wings would be cool be cause peril would have other firescales to interact with.
I thight it was underrated until I found out..l I was 🌟 early 🌟
I think riverwings would be interesting as a subtribe
Or Oceanwings.
They would be!
Only the seawings know a little about them. this might actually happen because clearsight writes about not disturbing the kraken in dragonfly bay in A Guide To The Dragon World.
i was thinking maybe 'shorewings,' that are like a mix of mudwings and seawings (maybe even sunlightwings!), and they would stay at the shore.
I think it would be cool for riverwings to exist. Me and my cousin made them up for a wings of fire thing. They would probably be in just fresh water places like rivers and ponds! We didn't really make up much stuff 😅
That is SUCH a cool idea!
6:13 idea: what if gill was a reefwing?
I actually had an idea for a fanfic set 10,000 years in the future, and it has SeaWing subspecies. (If you don't want to read the summary, there's a TL;DR at the end that'll give you an idea.)
5000 years into the future, the SeaWing Queen Luminescent had seven female eggs, a miracle to the queen but a disaster to King Cyclone and the rest of the tribe.
They became FrigidWings
Princess Tranquility: She and her followers would remain at the old SeaWing Palace and eventually become known as “True SeaWings.”
TL;DR
To avoid an all-out SeaWing war, the five sisters flee to opposite sides of the world and evolve into the SeaWing subspecies.
I made reefwings as a sub tribe they like on there own content and they have coral reef bay and sea grass lake
Hey doge! I love your vids, I'm making a fanmade book 16. I want it to be it's own continent, do you have any tribe or name ideas?
No reply yet? I can help though, the continent names both begin with P and btw they are bug body parts so maybe serch 'bug body parts that begin with P' idk but hope this helps
Good luck with it!
I think I'm gonna make the name phyrala (phyr like phyrria and ala like pantala
WoF continents are named after insect genuses- I believe my fancontinent, Acheta, is a genus of cricket.
Ooh, nice! 👀
Maybe a crystal/gem tribe?
I really hope Tui does this for Arc 4 👀
That'd be sick!
I have a headcannon that sea wings that live deeper in the sea have longer whiskers to help hunt and have glow scails to aid telling face extraction because of it being dark
Also deeper a sea wing lives less English they know and some that have probably never brethed air before
Im so in love with the Abysswings I NEED Tui to do a concept like this or I'm gonna cry 😭😅
This gets me thinking for other subtribes, like if Rainwings lived in a normal woodland rather than rainforest 🤔
REALLLL
Please Please MudWings subtribes Please🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🙏🙏
I would LOVE to see lake seawings
I wish I could draw these tribes 😭😭😭
Me: Ooh, a dogloverlikesdoge video

OH WAIT WHAT TEN MINUTES AGO🤯🤯😎
I also have a fan continent:D
There not linked with the scorching tho-
Deep sea wings ( I do not have a good name yet-)
There just a bit more bulky then normal sea wings and they a have a VERY dark palette there scales can almost be pitch black like a night wings so they can blend in and catch fish or any other deep sea creatures some dragons that have encountered them they say “they have pure white eyes that glow like the moon”
Religion
Like the ice wings they have a god like dragon that the worship unfortunately I don’t have a name for this dragon but they also do have shrines every full moon each dragon travels to the closest shrine to bring an offering the offerings can be shells bones fish or jewelry the better the offering the better luck they are given by this god like dragon since there limited food down there
Language
They also speck aquatic but some dragons or dragonets that are born in high ranking families have a chance of learning dragon by being taken up to the shore at night and being taught by dragons who already know if your wondering why they are taken out only at night it’s because they are a very secretive tribe but dragon is slowly becoming a extinct language
Names
There usually just named by fish at live in twilight zone and the deep part of the ocean
And that’s what I have if you guys have a name ideas for the god like dragon pls reply:D
Poisonwings and sapwings are kind of subtribes too, if you think about it
Shorewings 4 tropical seawings!!
Idk why but I see arc 4 having new tribes like these, and is going to take place underground beneath the surface
54 seconds gang lol!
I'm here 1 min after u said that
Seawing subtribes are a great idea!
Maybe… Seawings?
How about aquatic wings? They never step out of water because they think water is very comfy.
I like this idea.
wow I could not come up with this (could I? idk) I would like this
Groundwings Mudwings that live underground
I think a good SeaWing subtribe is OceanWings? Sorry if it sucks :(
i think sub tribes are a good idea, and i think that the other tribes should have their fair share of sub tribes
This is cool I never really liked seawings much they're just kinda boring and we don't get much about their way of life in the books I think I would like them better if this was included for sure
Dragolover95:
deserves respect for his dedication
Im drawing them now
Awesome!!
Early somehow
I NEED BROWN SEAWINGS ✊️✊️✊️
4:11 "multiple leviathan class lifeforms detected in the area, are you sure what you are doing is worth it?"
Try the rain wing sub tribes cuz i have on poison wing are not the same as rain due to what color is what attack purple is death green is knock out and yellow is you can not move at all only the queens and heirs death color is diff and normaly they have poison base name like buckeye or blood ivy and thats all they story from me plz pin
yoo im early!
Oceans have the highest concentration of biodiversity in the world, so seawing sub-tribes make a lot of sense.
:DD
Don’t the leafwings have some
Theres already leafwing subtribes
Hallo!
Hi!!
The subtribes idea is awesome! DeepWings and the LeafWing divisions as subtribes are some of my favorite ideas.
I will be honest I don't really know what subtribes are and also my favorite game channels are surreal beliefs kindly Keyin and this youtuber called Dshakey also Garo shadow scale
