I apologize for some really quick transitions between the tribes. My editing program was being really annoying and wouldn't let me fix that.
Question of the day: What's the best superpower?
My answer: Shapeshifting! You could turn into a fish to breathe underwater, a bird to fly in the air, a cheetah for increased speed, a gnat to turn nearly invisible, and you could pose as anyone in the world. The possibilities for shapeshifting are endless! It's like a million powers in one.

One that I've always wanted though, is to talk to animals
I'm already and animal whisperer (literally every animal I have met have loved me. Even the most angry chameleon, the Veild Chameleon (miss you bud)), it would just enhance that

One headcanon I have for SkyWings is that they actually have super tiny talons. Similar to how Klipspringers - a small antelope found in eastern and southern Africa - use their hooves, SkyWings use these talons to grip onto tiny crevices in smooth rock faces! However, since small talons _really_ aren't that desirable in combat, SkyWing soldiers use claw extensions.

Here are some head cannons from me.
-SeaWing scale colors are based on where they hatch. Some who live in kelp forests have more greener/brown scales and fewer glow scales than other SeaWings, others that are born in coral reefs will have brighter scales that come in more colors than just blue or green (like purple, [Like Indigo] or sometimes pink,) while SeaWings hatched in the deep palace/open ocean will have blue scales and have the most glow scales. They also have legends about giant SeaWings who live in the deep trenches. This may or may not be true.
-SkyWings are the most superstitious tribe. They have many rituals that they conduct to try and bring themselves good luck, prosperity, good hunting, and other such things. It is also why they kill firescales and animus dragonets. They fear that they will bring bad luck and death to whichever family they hatch, too.
-NightWings during darkstalkers time would use a chalk like substance to draw on themselves. The most common motif was the moons, specifically a crest moon under each eye and a full one on the forehead. They would also make constellations out of their wings by connecting the star scales
-SandWings are the smallest tribe. They also have thicker scales on the bottoms of their claws that help them deal with the burning sand. Those scales are often black in color.
-Street rat is a term that was once a SkyWing nickname for thieves and traitors, who's wings would be cut off as punishment. This term spread throughout Pyriah(?) And is used by most tribes to this day, often just using it to describe a dragon who can't fly. (Yes, this is based on the Aladdin song sue me)
-HiveEings did have black scales before Clearsight came to Pantala, but after she died, more and more HiveWings claimed to be direct descents from her because of their black scales until the whole tribe beveled that they all were related to her.
-HiveWing and SilkWing romance is much more common than most believe, though it's still very taboo to actively talk about it.
-MudWings are the most accepting of hybrids, followed closely by SandWings. Their familial bond is much too strong to care about who your parents are.

Here are some headcanons: Leafspeak is actually very common (like one-third of the tribe has it), but it’s just very weak, so the LeafWing that has it doesn’t notice it. The only thing the leafspeak can do is accelerate plant growth very unnoticeably. They also still hear the plants too, but it’s like small whispers, which then evolved into LeafWing ghost stories about odd whispers in the jungle that came from nowhere.
MudWings are very good cooks, since they eat so much. They also produce the most crops, which is why Blister wanted them on her side since they had such a big supply of food.
Since meat spoils quickly, the NightWings developed a way to make jerky that lasted very long. But it also made the jerky smell and taste funky, so most NighWings decided to not eat it. They also made fruit leather.
SkyWings wear the most jewelry out of the tribes. They also invented jewel embeddings, since they loved gems so much they wanted them to literally be on their body.
SandWings wear kohl. (It’s ancient Egyptian eyeliner)

My personal headcanon about RainWings is that they used to hold a yearly competition (like the Olympics) for things like venom shooting and treetop races. Basically the challenges for when Glory became queen. My headcanon is that it used to be just a competition-like thing, not a big, tribe defining event for changing queens.

  • @KhaoticKarma18

I had a head canon for the RainWings a while ago. During the Darkstalker times, when the rainwings were said to have been troublesome, I imagine they acted similarly to the dilophosaurus in Jurassic park. Use their camouflage to hide and then ambush trespassers by splaying out their frill things and spitting venom at them

    Some of my head cannons
    - a small percentage of SilkWings have fuzzy antenna, like moths.
    - HiveWings used to have weak future seeing powers, but have since lost this power
    - eventually, there will be so many hybrid dragons that they will demand to have their own queen.
    - LeafWings turn brown with age
    - Burn only pretended to have a problem with tribal cross-dressing. In actuality, she wanted more of it, but pretended to find it disgusting, so that she could have more weird things for her collection.
    - the ex-princesses are in the dragon equivalent of witness protection.
    - MudWings have a specific dragon who's job it is to keep track of blood relationships in order to prevent inbreeding, usually a member or close friend of the royal family.
    - humans' experiments on dragons during the scorching somehow caused Animus magic or, alternatively, it worked similarly to leafspeak.

-hivewings have a small chance to have a genetic mutation which causes them to have some silkwing/coloured scales. these are killed upon hatching by hivewing guards to prevent "contamination" of the tribe.
-all skywings have hollow, light bones to fly faster.
-skywings have feathers near their wings.
-scavengers are much smaller than humans in the real world.
-rainwings have a lot of fur and feathers.

    @pretzelcat581 ปีที่แล้ว +122

I love all of these! I don’t remember if I’ve already included this on any of your posts but I have a head cannon that after the Leafsilk Kingdom was established it became a fashion among SilkWings to wear a leaf wrapping around whatever wrist and talon that the HiveWings left scars on. This would stand as a symbol of empowerment, an homage to the Chrysalis, and a representation of the LeafWings they now share a kingdom with. I think this fashion will continue even in the generations that don’t have scars and it will become a tradition for a SilkWing to wear a leaf wrap when they go into their metamorphosis and intertwine it with their own silk pattern once they emerge.

    Here's my headconon!
After the Breath of Evil was eradicated from most of Pantala, it left behind a descendent. Leafwing Villages that lived near it quickly saw how that plant affected the Leafspeakers, but they thought the forest was speaking through them. They created a tradition for when a dragons that had Leaf speak reached the age of five, they would eat the plant and become the "voice of the forest". Depending on how much they could control their Leafspeak, the affects would vary from the plant taking full control of the dragon to it just affecting the dragon's thoughts. The dragon would have a longer lifespan and would tell the villagers what would be best to do in certain situations (example: should they set up another farm and take a few trees from to forest to do it). While to the villagers it seemed the dragon was voicing the forests concern, it was most likely just the plant keeping itself alive. In some situations it would even grow violent, as the dragon would demand that a dragon that the plant didn't like be publicly executed, as their actions were "harming" the forest. When Queen Wasp destroyed all the trees on Pantala, the descendant of the Breath Of Evil was destroyed.

  • @parmesandrawz
    @parmesandrawz ปีที่แล้ว +12

i think that silkwings are born with really sharp claws, and keep sharp claws until after their metamorphosis, but still have sharper claws than the other tribes even after, because they rely on climbing as dragonets since they dont have wings. it could also be useful for cutting silk!

  • @wolfdog551
    @wolfdog551 ปีที่แล้ว +14

One of my own personal headcannons is that rainwings change their color by heating and cooling their bodies in specific patterns. This means that it would take a lot of practice to master camouflage, and be harder to hide emotions within the scales as the tempeture of the dragon fluctuates with their mood. Accomplishing full control of you colors would show great knowledge, wisdom, or might be intimidating, and show a sign of power.

  • @kachow12321
    @kachow12321 ปีที่แล้ว +29

Here's some of my own headcannons.
    - At the beginning of the treewars, many rebellious Silkwings and some Hivewings managed to escape from the Hives. Eventually they were founded by the Sapwings in the Poison Jungle, and they made a small camp besides theirs. Though, they're rebellion didn't last long and most fled to lone parts of the continent or the Distant Kingdoms.
-Skywings are *very* religious, being all about the moons, spirits, gods (like the Greek gods), etc. They have old stories of when Skywings had feathers, and believe a cryptid prophecy from before Darkstalker's time that feathers will return one day to the royal family. Though, many dragons who fled to be with one from another tribe, don't tell these stories to anyone, but know it could be a possibility with a genetic mutation, and fear what could happen to their young.
    - Seawings have Olympic like sports in the water. It was invented before Darkstalkers time, and back when it reached to Albatross's time, Queen Lagoon would allow him to show animus tricks. It's still very popular and Queen Coral one day wants to spread the genre to more than water tricks, but doesn't want her daughter to lose her soul.
    - Most Rainwing dragonets often feel scared being without their parents, so most draw close bonds with older dragons because of this, and often follow them around and be "He do, me do".
Edit: You may use these as backstories for your own characters, exp: My Hivewing oc grew up with the HiveSilk rebellion.

    Here’s my headcanons:
Mud wings are super stronk and have jaws that are a lot like crocodiles, but they have blunt teeth. So they cook their food more so than others (also to keep food safe to eat in the swamps)
Sand wings have super busy and geometric architecture, with lots of colors and excess fabric to keep the sun at bay (think the new jumanji or Aladdin)
Ooh! Another, icewings love furs, they wear super fluffy cloaks, or huge fur scarfs (like old mink coats from movies).
And lastly we got sky wings, sky wings have biiiggg wings and are very good at flying high, but the wings themselves are curved like falcons. Because otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to really go through tight spaces when flying if we go by how it would scale to the body itself.

I have a headcanon that most sandwings and some seawings like to wag their tails like dogs do, Specifically when they are very excited. Some sandwings do it because they were born with rattle snake-like tails and as dragonets They would find it fun to do so they do it when their happy. Seawings do it because it one of the first lesson on self defense. They would have to practice waging their tails to create large waves in the pools or ocean they would be taught in.

    - scavengers are smaller then average real life humans (perhaps around 3-4 ft tall?)
    - this would explain certain items being bigger then their real life counterparts, such as ‘strawberries as large as a scavengers head’ and blueberries being describes as at least as large as Leaf’s fist
    - This would make it easier for scavengers to hide from the dragons and fit in small places

I have to say, the one on NightWings and zodiacs is my favourite. But maybe to expand on this a bit more:
A NightWing hatchling's scales are inspected for any patterns dictating a constellation. If one is found, the dragonet is named by an aspect related to that constellation. For example, Orion (the Hunter) - Preyhunter, or Vulpecula (fox) - Secretkeeper. Hatchlings with any of the 12 zodiacs found on their wings are considered respected by the other members of their tribe and are normally brought up to become astronomers

Here’s my head cannons for both SkyWings and SandWings:
    SANDWINGS:
The Queen was always the richest, sometimes wearing jewellery like a Pharoah would. Before the Eye of Onyx, they had a special staff instead, you guessed it, based off snakes. More specifically: the dragonbite viper. They might’ve also tamed a few, using these deadly snakes in wars or fights.
    SKYWINGS:
Once again like the Ancient Egyptians, I feel that originally, the SkyWing Queens were seen as all-powerful among the tribe. They’d lie about being able to control the very sun. Basically, seen as a goddess, perhaps (almost like the Pantalans and Clearsight).

The NightWing Zodiac thing is actually funny because I have an WoF OC named Aquila. Funny thing, Aquila is a SkyWing.
A few of my headcanons are:
There is no SkyWing named Phoenix because SkyWings honor the bird as a spiritual guide and the one who chooses the SkyWings who get to be reincarnated. If an eagle is seen with a red or orange feather mutation, SkyWings will go above and beyond to protect it, as they see it as an agent for the Phoenix.
IceWing males have manes of fur around their necks. The older you are, the fluffier and larger your mane is.
NightWings believe that evil dragons, specifically NightWings, will go to a place with no moons when they die. Going to this afterlife is the biggest fear among the tribe, as the moons are what give them their powers.
Before Queen Wasp, HiveWings had mercenaries that were part of an underground group on Pantala. They offered protection to the criminals of Pantala in exchange for gold. This was abandoned after the Tree Wars.

-IceWings can have frostscales/frostless dragons, but they’re even rarer than firescales/fireless
-RainWings’s beak have a sharp plate growing off of them, hiding their fangs. This is why everyone’s forgotten they had them after they went into isolation.
-SilkWings are probably the most fashionable tribe, always getting tattoos, piercings, etc. And wearing many different kinds of clothes.
-SkyWings have feathers with roughed up lower arms/legs, similarly to a bird
-Unique patterns/piebald-ness/disability is extremely common in SandWings
-LeafWings have a nameless, made-up language consisting of bird calls. This language is most often used during war or times of hiding.
-SeaWings’ appearance varies depending on where they come from in the ocean. “Hybrid” SeaWings are common too; SeaWings whose parents are from two different areas of the ocean.
-NightWings have smooth skin, bat-like ears, a horn growing off their nose, and spines not only going down the back but down the belly, like a SeaWing’s webs

Icewings- eggs are kinda crystalline shaped and shiny
Rainwings- Smooth and round with a bit of a rainbow shimmer (I think this is canon actually)
Sandwings- Rough kinda scales eggs that are a dusty sand color
    Hivewings- honeycomb eggs
Seawings- small pouches like shark eggs, that have marks that glow
    Nightwings- Starry patterned eggs
Mudwings- rough scaled eggs that are brown
Skywings- Grey and duller colored eggs(I think this would help protect eggs when they live in mountains)
    Silkwings- kinda silk like outside
Leafwings- green eggs with leafy patterns

I have a whole lot of headcanons for SeaWings- some of them are: they hunt like pelicans. I just think its fitting, y'know?; they don't just communicate using Aquatic while underwater, but they also have eerie calls, similar to whales; all SeaWings have different gill and glow scale shape, but families have similar ones; some SeaWings who spend most of their time in the deep palace or underwater have barnacles or algae on their scales. That's only some of them, I got a lot more cause I love SeaWings so freaking much, but I'll end here so I don't end up with an essay for a comment lol (kind of too late-)

  • @osheridan

I have a fair few, mostly based off what i know about animals
Birds are classified as reptiles, so dragons could be related to them, so I imagine that Skywings can grow feathers at the ends of their wings, though its sort of uncommon, and not possible in firescales of course
Other than Boa and Onyx, we don't really see Sandwings living alone, and Onyx went back to living with others first chance she got. In the savannah, pack animals like lions, hyenas and my personal favourites, wild dogs, thrive, so I imagine Sandwings would be pack animals
It is very uncommon for Seawings to wear rings as they have to pierce their webbed talons, which can be dangerous, but for those who do it is seen as a sign of power and status
Seawings who lose body parts or who can't flash their scales use an older Seawing animus gift that embeds gems in their scales they can light up on command, matching those they would have had. This was made by Fathom on Pearl's request to help Sapphire adjust after Albatross snapped off her claws...
Seawings have religious beliefs and name their dragonets symbolically, although they don't always turn out to mean what they would think. Eg, Coral named Orca to symbplise intelligence and great beauty, but it ended up reflecting her psychopathic tendencies, and child killing
Coral named Anemone based on the fact that Anemones live attached to coral reefs, but it ended up reflecting how they also detach and become independent when they grow older, warding coral itself away

A special ceremony would be awesome! These are such cool headcanons! (Some of my favorites are the MudWing, IceWing and HiveWing) On to mine.
    1. Around Darkstalkers Era, MudWing doctors would encase wounded patients in hot mud (much like Peril to Clay) few people remember this tradition.
    2. Individual SilkWing families pass down special ancestral weavings from far before the Tree Wars. More rebellious families would switch it up and start giving their dragonets Chrysalis symbols.
    3. SkyWing tales of great animus achievements were widely celebrated. These scrolls were burnt in the SkyWings vs Animus and Firescales war. The final scroll has been recently recovered.
    4. NightWings would hold exclusive festivals amongst themselves speaking of their bravery and skill, and telling many stories. They were continued in the volcano, a sort of final hope for them that everything would be okay. These festivals have been opened up to the RainWings in recent times.

One headcanon I have is that some Sandwings have small spikes on the sides of their stingers, and they can rapidly shake their tails back and forth to create a rattling sound, which isn’t exactly for combat, but more for intimidation, like real life rattlesnakes, however I can easily see this being used in a festival where they use them like maracas
I also imagine that Sandwings have the second hottest fire of any dragon, only cooler than the Skywings, this is because, well, obviously they live in the desert, and they’re always emitting heat, so I imagine that this is because of their fire, possibly being less contained and causing heat to escape from their bodies

These will be excellent for my AU (It originally started as a rework to make animus magic not broken, but has spiraled into a rewrite consisting of the 1st arc as it is, a retooling of the 2nd arc with a change in events as well as 2 POVs per book, and a rewrite of the 3rd arc which has been split into 2 arcs; the 3rd arc of the AU consist of the events of book 11-13 and the 4th arc taking inspiration from books 14 and 15. Additionally the only other canon books of this AU are a slight retelling of Legends Darkstalker, an arc 3 legends book of when Clearsight came to Plantala, and a arc 4 legends book on Queen wasp rise to power. Also everything else is basically ignored for the sake of the AU as to not complicate things to much.)
My personal head-canons for the AU are
Icewings: when in hot environments wltheir scales let off steam to keep themselves cold and in humid enviorments frost forms on their scales giving them a more fluffy apearence.
Sand wings: there venom is actually warm and combustible being the reason they can breath fire and radiate heat.

I headcanon that the comet is what gives animus magic, if a dragon hatches beneath it they have a chance to get the animus gene, although almost all of the time it is a hidden gene. The only time the comet has a chance of giving a dragon magic it can use is when its at its closest, if it was bigger or got closer then animus hatching beneath it would be more common.
The sole reason that NightWings didn't get animus magic sooner is because they feared the comet, they had seen it as a sign of bad luck since it was capable of messing with their powers, either blocking them or mutating them. Because of this they saw it better to hid the eggs that were to hatch on these nights than to place them beneath the moons.
IceWings and SkyWings on the other hand worshiped the comet and saw it as a blessing if a dragon hatched beneath it with the dragon normally becoming a priest if they aren't royalty, the closer the comet when you hatched the holy-er you were. Although the SkyWing tradition of hatched eggs beneath it ended and became taboo after an animus royal came to be by killing the original royal family and taking away the feather gene the royals had. The SkyWings do still worship the comet although not as much as they used to, it has become seen that hatching an egg beneath the comet now means the dragon will have a painful life and will not be able to reincarnate.

Actually have too headcanons for the leafwings and the rainwings
1: when leafwings age they start to turn a bit Brown, the older they get the more brown they become, when they are 97 to 100 their body is completely brown, if they outlive of the age of 100 then their body will start to sprout like a type of dandelion type of Fuzz on them, but they're probably die at 110 or earlier,
2 rainwings are based off of snakes, and the skin actually sheds once every two years, when this happens they have to find a nice warm spring or River to fully submerge under water, they put their heads on top of a rock or a log to keep the nostrils out the water to breathe, and it will take about 2 to 3 hours and this will make the skin nice and soft for the dead skin to come off, the reason why they don't go for sun time to get the dead skin off, it's because that their new skin underneath will be burnt pretty easily, they also can't pick the skin off with their talons, this will make the process painful and to be honest it would cause some bleeding.

-there are no 'straight' dragons, its just that some show more gay pride than others
-rainwings were a lot fiercer, like during Darkstalker's time, but one of the queens decided they didn't want to kill their daughters and they became a lot more docile
-if a mudwing had animus powers, it would spread through the tribe like wildfire in just a few years due to their mating habits
    - a skywing with a birth defect, like flamescales, is thrown off a cliff, but if they survive and make it back to the tribe later they are honored (taking the idea from the series Wolves of the Beyond)

I've always liked the idea that since the tribe is designed after leaves on trees, why not have them change color when they get cold kind of like how a tree's leaves will change color when it becomes fall going into winter. Then if they eventually get cold enough they will go into a hibernation-like state.
And then another head cannon that I have would be pertaining to dragon's blood. More specifically Icewing hybrids. This would be a very rare case, but for some Icewing hybrids I believe that they would have purple blood. More specifically royal purple blood.

My head cannon for ice wings is that very very rarely they can be born as in ice scales these dragons are often killed off and the tribe doesn’t speak of them as they think it would be a dishonor to them since they had to be killed for safety reasons and this power is genetic it can go through five generations and still hatch one after five generations the chance of this is zero these dragons often give off a cold kind of steam (you know when you breathe on a very cold day) and particularly it was the claws of the dragon that was most affected The rest of the body would just probably be ice cold, but sometimes they are born like this kind of like in Apex mutation but the chance of being a full body ice scales is higher if you have two or more ice scale parents or grandparents. Although since the reign of snowfall ice scales have been given special gloves or cloths that they would wear always The gloves are so thick and made from a special leather that it takes about 15 minutes for it to freeze solid and no longer be usable their ice breath is often stronger and even spreads out more after it’s blasted The first continent wide ice scales known about was a dragon named crescent

I had a headcannon that based on the image of Monarch in the SilkWing kingdom, that the HiveWings overtook them slowly, and used their buildings for themselves. Slowly, but surely the HiveWings took over their entire kingdom

Imma drop mine here because I love sharing my headcannons lol and yours has literally inspired so much writing ideas lol!!
Anyways, feel free to use these anyone, completely open, also feel free to change some stuff about them!!
(Do keep in mind some of these mention fantribes because I’m copy and pasting, also I headcannon the nightwings to have restored the old night kingdom using animus magic)
    Skywings:
The tallest of the tribes with a typically lean but powerful build. In days of old, they believed killing firescale dragons would grant them fortune from their gods. Because they believed so strongly in the sun and the Nightwings the moon, they often thought of each other’s half, becoming allies in early wars. Skywings are also very brutal, their gladiator ring open to any dragon who wants to compete to the death for riches.
    Mudwings:
With a slightly taller than average height, and a strong, bulky build these dragons were very tough. Their scales were also very thick, allowing them to handle heat much better, though their scales did dry easily (which is why they coat themselves in mud from time to time). Because the parents often leave their young at an early age due to the ceaseless wars the tribe is dragged into, Mudwings have special tattoos that is marked on members of a family. In general though, most Mudwings decorate themselves with tattoos, as they hold up even through thick muddy swamps, unlike jewelry. They were also the last tribe to outlaw the use of animus magic.
    Sandwings:
With a wiry muscular build and thick scales on their talons, they are one of the fastest tribes, especially over desert sands. They are known to be the trade capital of the world, and the “center of pyrrhia”. However they’re also known for being the crime capital too, as well as their many scandalous activities dragons can partake in. Most tribes look down on them for their royal system which, once every 2,000 years, allows 100 dragonesses to fight to the death, with the winning dragon becoming queen.
(More in replies so I don’t run out of room on this comment)

    • @The_SilliestBilliest
      @The_SilliestBilliest ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rainwings:
With long, slender bodies, that are abnormally flexible and prehensile tails, these dragons are best fit to hunt in the rainforest. They manage to slip from branch to branch with ease, and though largely vegetarian, typically hunt with the same tactics as a cat. Despite the tribe’s deadly toxins they shoot from their fangs and flexibility in battle, they are very passive. They’re famously known to avoid most wars and export their extravagant plants and are often hired as builders. In fact, they’re the most likely to be hired by queens as gardeners, fourth most likely to be hired as architects, and, surprisingly fifth most likely as assassins.
      Seawings:
As one of the shorter and stockier tribes, they can be quiet hard to beat in battle, especially with their powerful tails. They also have excellent military training and planning. They often export beautiful jewelry and other expensive goods. However, the tribe is extremely classist, making rebellions happen often, though less in the recent years.
      Icewings:
With a tall, regal, slender build almost as sharp as their tongue, they’re certainly a tribe to be up against. They were the first tribe to outlaw animus magic, due to their poor history with it. In the year 2000 an icewing tried to wipe out all dragons which is what lead to animus magic being suddenly stripped from every dragon a a handful. Then the Sandwing plague was targeted mainly at the Icewings, pushing them to outlaw it. They’re know for the excellent military prowess and their surprising care for their citizens.
(More replies cause I’m running out of room)

      @The_SilliestBilliest ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nightwings:
With average height and squared features, their appearances wouldn’t stand out much if not for their beautiful wing membranes. Because so many dragonets are born with mind reading abilities, eggs are often hatched in remote locations atop mountains to avoid overwhelming them. It is also common for dragonets to go nameless for the first few year of their life, as they are named by defining characteristics of their personality, though some are named after the constellation they are born under. Nightwing’s also have the best schools and scroll keeping, with some schools made only for dragons with powers. Their royalty is famously known for almost always having dragonets brown with powers, with only nine recorded born without in history.

Imma summarize animus magic headcannons real quick:
It was given to every dragon at first, but was stripped so only a few had it. It was a great source of power but demanded sacrifices to be used. The most common was blood but other things (such as markings like tattoos, memories, or even intangible things like relationships) could be used as well. More advanced spells required bigger sacrifices and a lot of movement, the most common being dances. Some spells however could be used without sacrifice. Ie: you want to wilt a tree. You’ll have to sacrifice a few drops of blood when you do the spell. You want to grow a tree, the magic just does its thing.
It eventually was outlawed by all tribes, with families known to have it watched carefully. Anyways, boutta take a nap with my dog so that’s all lol lol

A head canon I have is on a different continent called Elementia. The tribes there are FireWings, LightWings, StormWings, StoneWings, and SpaceWings. They all have powers based on what tribe they’re in; FireWings can burn anything they touch; LightWings can shine brightly to blind enemies(or themselves); StormWings can create storms or control the weather; StoneWings can turn others into stone, though they have to say ‘turn to stone’ to a certain dragon(s); SpaceWings can have one of three things, similar to the NightWings, they can read minds, be a prophet, or be an animus, though it’s only in the royal family. Elemantia did have relationships with Pantala, before they started the war for peace.
Would this still be considered as a head canon? 😅

hc: icewings and seawings are closely related, with their last common ancestor having blue blood. this trait has since disappeared from most seawings, but is still visible in the royal family, and believed to be tied to animus magic. it's kind of true, since the genetic connection that gave them blue blood also gave them magic.

i have one, it is rumored that the eldest of a Mudwing clutch has a sort of berserker state when their sibs are threatened. it can either be a boisterous and horrifying display of rage that sees anyone standing between the bigwings and the sib(s) to be torn apart quickly, or a haunting and ethereal calm that will horrify even the most hardened of Nightwing assassins.... potentially reminding them of how the volcanic home they lived on.

my head cannon is that Icewings have the worst immune system of all 7 tribes on phryyia and mudwings have the best. this is supported by irl science cuz playing w/ mud and muck when ur a kid can greatly increce the streagth of ur immune system and icewings are all clean and pristine there whole life and dont play in dirt and muck.

    Some of my headcanons!
-HiveWings and SilkWings have orange blood, but HiveWings injected with the breath of evil have a dark yellow shimmer/undertone to it
-NightWings hatched under clear, starry nights have stars on their underscales, not just their wings
-SeaWings phosphorescent scales can be anywhere from green and blue to sometimes yellow and orange
-When dragons were possessed by Cottonmouth, there was a slight tone of his voice in the possessed dragon's voice
-SkyWings have manes that are often styled or cut. Firescale SkyWings have manes that can look like fire, and if they get hot enough, their mane can turn blue.
-Seer NightWings have a small star scale on their forehead
-If a volcano NightWing had a dragonet with a RainWing, there is a very slim change of a mutation that would cause the toxic NightWing saliva and RainWing venom to become a toxic and poisonous gas that can kill instantly if inhaled
    That's it ig lol

Sorry about commenting on an old video of yours. But, I have a headcannon that every tribe on pyrria once had animus magic but over the years, it slowly started to change so only the tribes we see in modern day have it. Like the mudwings used to have an animus dragon but something happened that took away all of their powers. Anyways, have a good rest of your day/night.😅

    fun fact!
there are really only two colors of blood, blue and red. red blood being iron based blood, and blue being copper based blood. so if there were tribes to have different colors of blood. it would most likely be icewings and seawings.

    WoF Canons
SkyWings have bird like eyes, with eyelids that close from left and right instead of up and down
SandWings have more scorpion like barbs with bumps and folds
SandWings have a very thick spinal mane, with hair much like that of elephant or hippo
LeafWings fall dormant during the colder seasons, hanging from trees with their tails
SkyWings have bird like talons, Icewings have hard, padded talons, and thick claws, and SandWings have talons similar to those of an IceWing
Rings on sea wings would be more of a piercing on their webbed talons

I want to respectfully disagree on the Rainwing blood color. Idk I just feel pink for girl and blue for boys is so generic. My personal opinion is that the color depends on what their official color was when they became of age. So lets say their scales are officially orange, if they bleed it would be orange. So if Glory for example were to be wounded I think it would be green since it is the most dominant color on her body. I'm sure my idea has flaws but I feel Rainwings are so unique in their way of life that I feel their biology should go with it.
