Hi they have a website called burtons aquatics. The particular model I have is suitable for up to 30k litres per hour which is more than enough for a 2k gal pond!
Good information thanks. If you use the pond water to clean the filter, I guess you have to keep topping up the pond? How much water do you use in 1 cleaning cycle?
@@DR-gs5je yes that is correct but it isn’t really noticeable. I can’t find any exact numbers but I’m pretty sure it’s around 2 litres per cycle. I have set my drum up to clean every 40 or so minutes and the clarity is perfect
Hi, At the moment I use Saki Hikari but i will soon be switching to a food that is new to the market in the UK once it gets imported which I believe is of higher quality. There are many variable to look at when choosing food but the main things to look for are in the ingredients. Choosing foods with fishmeal, krillmeal as the main ingredients and staying away from foods high in soy due to fish being able to absorb fishmeal etc easier. The higher up something is on the ingredient list, the higher % of that ingredient is in it. Generally speaking, the closer the food is to what is easily absorbed, fishmeal etc, the less waste that the fish will produce. Medikoi is a good alternative if Saki hikari is too expensive. I will be doing an in depth video on fish food in the near future :)
Hi, thanks for watching and subscribing. I only review the drum filter on this video. I have just a DIY k1 media bed and a small wetland filter. It is shown here on my pond build video th-cam.com/video/OFS0pey7V7w/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=KoiBoyUK

You have done a fantastic job of this pond, looks amazing. What food do you use, trying to find a food that doesn’t cloud the water very much?
