Nice use of the FTD fibers. It would probably be similar using Supreme Hair. A note on wrapping the crystal flash; leave the thread at the tie-in point and wrap the flash behind the thread, chasing the thread to the end tie in. Makes for a neater, more uniform body.

Weird. Last night I tied a nearly identical fly as an emerald shinner imitation for Great Lakes steelhead.

from what I can see, you should of split the red flash onto BOTH sides of the hook, just to even it out....but a relly nice looking jig......
