  • In this video I demonstrate how to tie the Epoxy Baitfish, developed by Glenn Mikkelson. A favorite by many Fly fishers in the north east come fall when bass and albies are blitzing off the beaches and jetties.

    I can't stop watching these videos. It is really odd how interesting it is to watch people tie flies. Gave you a follow... my new obsession.

      Funny you say that, I’d say 1/3 of my twitch audience doesn’t even tie flies or fly fish but they love watching it. Thanks!

      @@lifliesmike Does not surprise me at all. It is an odd thing to enjoy... but it is interesting.

    NRS waders! Leave relief zipper open after showing your buddies how cool you are. Mine dont leak otherwise, 3rd season. Mikkelson is all I fish most days. Works great on fluke down tha shore as well. Thanks for the blitz intro

    cool tye man great video keep em coming, can you do a tut showing how tie those Marauder flies you have on your site. also FYI the volume on the shots your shooting on green screen is pretty low compared to when your doing the VoiceOver in the middle of tying. try matching both volume levels otherwise great stuff bud

    I am trying to understand why the Flashabou is used to wrap the tan bucktail,,why not just tie it in with mono?

    • @lifliesmike
      @lifliesmike  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's part of the design, you can certainly use mono but the flashabou give it a scale like flash when stripping it in.
      In saltwater Fly Tying you can really do whatever you want as long it works. So you don't have to follow my video to the t, hope that helps

      @@richieg8432 oh I know you weren't saying anything bad, no worries haha. It's a Glen Mickelson pattern and one of my favorites for albies, try it out

      I think it keeps you from cinching down too hard as we tend to do with the thread.
