I cried so much when he started speaking. It’s so sad that people get old and eventually pass away. He is such a great man. How wonderful for these young boys to pay tribute to him whilst he is alive. They are such a great representation of what Pres. Mbeki, one’s that are still with us and all the other ones who has already passed away fought for. This is the South Africa I want to reside in 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 I lost my great gran two months back and I couldn’t attend because I currently live in the 🇬🇧, and two days back was my late mother’s birthday. Just a bit of an emotional wreck but hearing these boys sing made me feel sooo much closer to home. They were like a hug to my soul. And then our dearest former President Thabo Mbeki started taking then oh boy did I start balling. 😭💜💜💜🫂🫂🫂🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🌸🌸🎂❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥💫💫💫💫💫 Home is where the heart is..💜💜❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🖤🖤
Situations like these warm my heart, when South Africans do what they can with what they have in their small corners they contribute in small ways to building a different South Africa ... social cohesion is like making music together, we harmonize and are connected to one another!
It might not hit them now, but years later when they've grown up, they will realise how privileged they were to be in the midst with the President of the African Continent - African renaissance.
