The socket at the beginning is fake, its a demo prop and there's only a handful in the world, they are not for sale. FDX sockets are 3/8 drive currently but there are plans to roll them out in 1/2" and maybe 1/4' drive
yes we see it grabs the rounded fastner. But you arent applying any force. show us that same bolt in a real world situation where it might be required to put some torque and force to it to remove it then let see how it grabs.
The real issue is this - a fastener with that damage must be removed and recycled. Not reused. Therefore just run a rocket socket. Whack it on, twist, remove, into the recycle bin with the bolt or nut. And rocket socket are a third or less the price. And work on fasteners that a snapon would never be able to grip. 100 percent rounded fasteners comes off with a rocket socket. I just don't see a place for these sockets in the real world . Because you can't use them day to day, except on brand new clean fasteners....because you have to tap them on with a rubber mallet if the fastener isn't clean and rust free and perfectly shaped. They're super snug.
Hmm, didn’t Metwrench made this design in the eighty’s?
How much is the socket you were holding in the beginning of the video? Also what size ratchet is required?
