  • For more information: Call 1 (877) 432-6627 or go to www.maxjaxusa.com. The MaxJax is a 6,000 pound capacity car lift that sets up in minutes and uses recessed anchors to bolt to your floor. It's a portable two-post lift that is designed for standard low-ceiling garages or automotive shops and has the ability to stow away when you're done!

    This is PERFECT for those people that want a lift in the garage but the garage is not tall enough to accommodate a full size lift. This is way better that the typical jack stands, floorjack and those things that you have to drive up on and hoping you don't drive off or keeping them from sliding forward as you try to drive up. Seriously though, stop hating on something that has been missing for the typical home garage.

  • @jmix6

    Is it weird to pay more attention to the garage cuz of how clean, nice and organized it is then paying attention to the lift???

    So the word straight from Max Jax says the anchor bolts can not be within 6" on a concrete expansion joint. But if you watch this video again they are very close and one side even splits the expansion joint of the concrete. There is no way I would trust the lift in this video.

  • @DannmarEquipment

    @MrKaoVue
    Why not? It uses the same bolting system as the full-size professional lifts found in automotive shops.

    Santa brought one this year and I love it! Installation took about 5 hours but after that, it's a breeze. It holds my Toyota Tacoma pickup, 2011 Hyundai Sonata and my hot-rodded 1950 Studebaker with no problem whatsoever. And, @ Elizabeth Brown - you don't have to be short. Sitting on a roll-around works perfectly. As for portability, Jacob, it unbolts from the floor in less than 2 minutes and rolls easily against the side of my garage. Where were these things 20 years ago?

      @@grim-upnorth I watched another video and the guy had to dig up the concrete in his garage only to find that he did in fact have to do that job. His floor looked perfectly fine. • @sdolight

    I do not think this is safe to install. You could argue how strong the bolts are but it does depend a lot on how strong the concrete floor is. Regular car garage has a 3.5"-6" thickness, these bolts are probably around 3-3.5". Your floor may look new because of epoxy coating, but the concrete may be broken underneath. The bolts may not break if designed correctly, but the concrete definitely could fail in this case. And it is silly to install these very close to the concrete edges/corners where concrete cracks happen mostly.

  • @scottcornelius7441
    @scottcornelius7441 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I’m afraid it would collapse inward. Those anchor bolts are too short. Google the company who makes it and see if they’ve been sued.

    Can someone explain WHY would the designer not just put 2 foot or 3 or 4 foot wide "feet" on the bottom AND have it bolted to the floor? It would be just as portable, but with the added security of knowing it won't topple over. I can not imagine doing anything "weight shifting" with this, as in taking out an engine or tranny or rear end.

    Purchased my MaxJax over 6 months ago and I have not been able to use it one time as the anchor start failing on the first test! I have good concrete its 6 inches deep the anchors fail no response not giving me any estimate on the epoxy anchors I've been building cars with jackstands meanwhile I have a max Jack wasting space in my garage I'm afraid to use it because it will kill me if it fails. I wish I would have just kept the money in my pocket. it wasted my cash and my time.. I'm done screwing with it. I have not have yet been able to benefit from it. I would have much rather built my own lift. Step up to the plate MaxJax and provide some epoxy acres from the get go. Or at least give me an estimate on them

      It's clearly not made for everyone. For the average hobby car guy, especially with a standard garage ceiling height, these are perfect. You can easily sit on a chair/stool and work under a car. Why do you think bigger anchors would be better? Can you tell me the lateral load you expect to apply to this application? I ask because the (5) 5/8" Grade 8 bolts (per side) would have a total shear value of around 450ksi. Exactly what application would you be applying to these jacks where they'd see this kind of lateral force acting upon their anchor bolts?
