    How long is the maximum attack ?

    Would it kill them to put the Attack Decay into Poly mode?

    • @kingstumble
      @kingstumble 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is polyphonic. Did you not hear him playing chords?

    • @SockbatReplicaOne
      @SockbatReplicaOne 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@kingstumble Poly mode actually does something more interesting than that. It actually generates separate envelopes for each note you play!

    • @kingstumble
      @kingstumble 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Er OK. I won't pretend I understand that.

    • @SockbatReplicaOne
      @SockbatReplicaOne 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@kingstumble If you listen closely when he's playing. The first note he plays will fade in but if he keeps playing before the note has finished fading in the other notes don't fade in because there is only one envelope(fade in). In poly mode it generates multiple envelopes so every note you play will fade in so you could have a second note fading in over top of the previous note that is still fading in.

      @SockbatReplicaOne 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@francescotaranto I guess I misinterpreted the description on EHX's website. So what do you think they mean then when they say "Poly mode: gives each note you play its own envelope."?

    What i believe would be very cool, for using this piece with 2 amps, so daisy chained or like a y cord mono to split to two amps, and that way you could still have your low end and your regular tone in one amp and have your pedal in a different amp that you could control the tones for the pedal, than on your funk grooves, it would sound very funky like a Bootsy Collins sound !!

    The Mono Synth sounds better than the EHX 9 synth but it's mono ! Anyway I don't like playing synth sounds with a guitar but I like playing very strange sounds and the new Attack Decay seems a winner and one of my next EH pedals !

    Ok it already has the dry out with the effect synth out built in the pedal SOLD !! Gotta get it my bad !!

    What's the difference besides the presets (and how many can it hold) between this and the Synth 9?

    • @TheRealCaptainFreedom
      @TheRealCaptainFreedom 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Synth 9 has no preset saves. But it doesn’t quite do the same tones as the Mono Synth.

    • @iLanFrid
      @iLanFrid 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cool. Thank you. The only thing I wish is that the Synth 9 had saved presets because the sounds on it are fantastic.

    The tracking seems dicy on the first tone.

    • @user-yf2lk5gi7q
      @user-yf2lk5gi7q 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, it's monophonic. It actually tracks better than most other monophonic synth pedals (the boss syb-3 and syb-5 come to mind)
      Still not super impressed with it. I'd rather just buy an Enzo.

    • @tekszet
      @tekszet 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's funny, after all the issues people have raised about latency and now will there really be that many guitarists that decide to use it? I do, But I also did way back and just adjusted my playing for the latency,,,, But the other ones like the EHX Synth9, Mel9 and the Boss SY300 (which is a lot more going on inside) all just plug and play. We will see. ;-}

      For memory moog 80's sounds and i would love, to see if it could track me on the bass, for The Moog Tauras 2 Bass pedals type, of Moog sounds !! because no pedal could ever do it before ??

    Saying “you only have one real choice of tweak-ability” is really not the way to sell the world on a new pedal. I always find this particular EHX guy really off putting in his demos..

  • @peterdanner2336
    @peterdanner2336 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Genius EHX. Always demo the utter shit synth one first, then anything after it sounds amazing by comparison. The Attack Decay though does sound really nice and really useful. And price point is sweet. 100% getting one when they are released

      Joe Nichols I can’t help but agree. I like their MEL9 pedal, but for these sounds, why not just use a keyboard with some program aimed at 80’s sounds? However, that (reverse) bowed sound with the Canyon was rather interesting.
