Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) is always faithful to the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.
Synopsis:
Yellowstone is a drama series that follows the Dutton family, led by patriarch John Dutton. The Duttons control the largest contiguous ranch in the U.S. and must contend with constant attacks by land developers, clashes with an Indian reservation and conflict with America's first national park. - บันเทิง
This guy really took the role seriously. I don't know how much preparation he did but Cole Hauser is nearly unrecognizable here. His expressions, mannerisms... disposition - nearly everything about the character seems entirely unique to Rip Wheeler. He deserves an emmy award for his work on this show.
IMO he is the best actor on the show! Takes that role and runs with it. I can honestly say if it was not for him I would have stopped watching after season 1.
Took me to the 3rd season to realize that was Cole!
I never watched the show but does he have Indigenous ancestry or lived on a reservation or something? Because I noticed in one scene I watched he had a rez accent. I was like wow this guy really has a rez accent. It was weird to me cause I’ve never seen that on tv by non native actors
I gotta seriously agree with you on all your points. Finally got around to watching this show over the holiday weekend. Saw a picture of Cole Hauser, couldn't believe it was the same guy.

Rip says , “ almost doesn’t matter” and Kevin says who taught you that. Rip says “you did sir” - Kevin gave him a look like a dad does when you checkmate them with their own words. Well played by both.
That scene stuck to me too! So true ,Taylor has classic quotes! Almost is a comfort for the weak!
Cole Hauser trivia for those who don’t already know: he is the son of Cass Warner, who founded the film production company Warner Sisters, and actor Wings Hauser. His paternal grandfather was Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dwight Hauser. One of Cole's maternal great-grandfathers was film mogul Harry Warner, a founding partner of Warner Bros., and his maternal grandfather was Milton Sperling, a Hollywood screenwriter and independent film producer.
Cole comes from one of the biggest Hollywood families but you would never know it because he has never used it to get famous. He has earned his acting creds all on his own and deserves all the praise he gets especially for this role if Rip Wheeler.

Cole Hauser has been around a long time but the way he plays Rip is career defining. It’s like Rip is a real person they just put in the show.
Hauser was MADE to play this part! He has made Rip into one of the greatest on-screen characters of all time.

I've loved Cole Hauser for years. In all his roles, this is by far the perfect one. He plays it like it is in his blood. He and this show deserve a lot of recognition.
He has to be acknowledged for this role. The best character ever in a show!

They should have had the guy that played Bud Bundy play Rip! Kidding Rip is a mans man! Great show.
He didn't, it was for Beth. Beth then went on and gave it to Rip. It has to stay in the family. Thats why when questioned later on he had no idea. (assuming your talking about when he gave him the ranch)

I respect how he delivers his lines. His expressions are so easily understood & moving.
Never heard of this man until Yellowstone.....now I will never forget him. Love him.
Can’t give enough credit to the writers, to the people who picked the actors to play their role and just the perfect chemistry between Rip and Beth, love love their storyline. Going back now to rewatch from the beginning...again.

I met Rip or the person he was based on, years ago went to Western Montana to Elk Hunt, my guide was Calvin, he was Rip to a tee. Strong, kinda quiet, but a great, nice guy. There are stories about hunters that did wrong in camp and Calvin fixed their attitude problems. Bring big city attitude to rural America and you will receive rural attitude.

This show gives me a sense of justice in this jacked up upside down world right now. Granted it is a bit extreme, but there are a lot of tune ups given in this show that many people in our politics deserve. Gives me hope that it might still all work out. 😂😂

The character of Rip is awesome! One of the main reasons I like this show so much.
Season 2, Episode 7. That episode defines Rip; loyal to Beth and willing to literally take bullets for her. The interaction between Beth and Rip, when he's about to say he loves her, and she tells him "Tell me when it saves my life."
The episode is perfection. Cole Hauser was meant to be Rip. ❤
