Large looks like “the carry through the university” but the Medium looks spacious too. I’m petite I don’t want my bag dragging down my body 😅
The medium is perfect for everything and very spacious! My friend has it and loves it. I gotta say the Large, when it came, in it was much bigger than I expected! It already makes my 5'7 ass look small ahaha

Thank you!! EEEP so excited for you!! Mine's holding up great and its easy to wipe down. TBH I'm pretty rough with mine and the lining of mine ripped after all this time. My friend recommended to get a bag organizer to hold it's rectangular shape. She found hers on etsy! I would just search telfar bag organizers or something and match the measurements if you're interested~

do you think the 16 inch MacBook would fit into the medium?
Looking into the medium's specs, the width is only 15 inches so I don't think it'll fit inside the zipper section that was made for laptops. However, I bet you can just put it in diagonally if you don't mind that!
