I had to put two comments on this video because of how much I love the video style. I like more of this nostalgia and pictures than animation. Thanks for making this Ike your old videos, Greg!
@@xXmlgamingXx355 I don't necessarily hate apple, I just think it would be nice if, being one of the richest companies, they had a little more respect for human dignity, because they can afford it
@@Rodrigo-jd2wg apple has some of the best working conditions. Many people who work in high-tech would wish to work with apple! And as for the factories, it depends on which ones you’re talking about. They have factories in the US, which of course has proper working conditions. As for the Chinese ones, I can’t say for sure what’s going on there. As I’ve said earlier, I’d love to see some proof.
I was in Chicago for work and went for a morning jog one morning. Chicago is one of the best-planned cities ever. I passed by this store and was in awe. Apple does an incredible job finding these locations.
Except for the videos he makes where it could be explained in under 30 seconds and he milks them to 10 minutes, like the one he made about the home button, or the headphone jack
I have missed these longer videos as opposed to the short ones you have made this last year or so. When you go into more detail like you have here, we as viewers can appreciate the Apple Store's architecture so much more.
I was working across the street in an office building when this masterpiece was being built. It was amazing to see it take shape and come to life and then finally step inside once it was complete. I knew it was magnificent but thank you for all these extra details I never knew about!
In 2018 Apple built an amazing flagship store in Liberty Square -Milan featuring a waterfall and a similar “bench and stairs” system as in Michigan Avenue -Chicago . I always 💭 the store miss some natural light tho . Foster&Pa always at the top, Chicago store is really amazing 🤩 Thank you for the detailed description was very smooth and clear👏🏻👌🏻
I remember being homeless in Chicago in 2012 and used to hang out at the apple store to use the WiFi and check out the devices that I’d never be able to afford and now I have tons of apple devices and was fortunate enough to have a house now too :)
I was there for the opening of this store! They had a full event and Tim Cook swung by. I was one of the first people in and the employees applauded me and gave me a commemorative long-sleeve shirt, haha. I love the store, it's one of the coolest buildings downtown.

Dude! Yes. YES!!! Omg, Greg 🙏🏼 THANK YOU! I doubt you saw my previous comment awhile back, and I wasn’t trying to be mean about anything, just constructive feedback. This was WAY more interesting and exciting to watch than “Why iPhones Still Have Buttons”. I loved this history video and I learned something out of it! I miss THIS. Thanks man (again), I’m glad I stuck around to see old school content style again 😊 best video of the day by FAR 🔥
As a Dutch, I visited that one in 2018. Some work on the trees outsides was still in progress then. But what a great place to be!! One of the most beautiful stores I've been in (next to the stunning historical Champs-Élysées building in Paris).
As a Samsung fan,, I must say that Apple surely and squarely owns the Luxury spot in the tech world.. the way they advertise,, the attention to details,, the consistency over generations,, the all glass and metal premium feel to their products is something that you can’t overlook..
Reading that title made me think they're opening one in downtown Detroit. It's called Michigan Ave all the way from Chicago to Detroit. Really cool store though
I miss this style of videos, and seeing the improved version is just incredible. Also I just noticed that the Chicago Tribune office is just across Michigan Avenue from the Apple Store, hmm...
GREG! I’m so glad you went back to this style of video making. I much prefer this. Do more of these videos please!
Same! I love his long videos
I aGregree
Same here I missed this type/style of videos with a longer length
Same!
Me too I love long videos 😊
We can all agree that Apple builds some of the best retail spaces right?
You could get TWO PCs for that price!!1!!
Best product co has better stores seasch it up
@@staringcorgi6475 I have and they are pretty cool
Well, they do have the money so they should.
@@tzz89 no one is talking about prices. its about the retail spaces...😑
I like how even the roof has a software, where Apple could just "send" an update and fixed it
roofOS

Wow, this is incredible! I don’t know any other company that gives this much attention to stuff like this
Imagine if they gave this much attention to human rights at their factories
@@Rodrigo-jd2wg of course, find the most random thing to say just to hate on apple.

The effort from these videos are phenomenal as always and so enjoyable to watch!
People: The store’s architecture will cause falling ice
Apple: It’s a software issue

Finally some lengthy content ! I appreciate the shorter ones but a bit more elongated content is also extremely appreciated!
Finally a long video🙏🏼 Hallelujah!
How creative! I didn’t know what an amazing story this store had!
Thank you for going back to your old type of videos! Keep this up!
Videos like these are why I subscribed to this channel in the first place. Great work Greg!
I'm so happy you are doing these old style vids..I was so disappointed and I thought these type of vids would never be seen
One of my favorite looking stores, along with University mall at Seattle. Angela was great
Cool that you went to this style again. Your videos are great Greg, please keep it up!
I love this original type of long video
FINALLY you make a video longer than 2 minutes. Do more of these
Finally, long content is back
That’s some very clever architecture and attention to details! Impressive!
i think that "meet me at apple" philosophy is so significant. It's not just about selling anymore. It's creating emotions for consumers.
Love the history and the build of the Michigan Apple Store

Thank you for making a longer video again
That’s Some perfection and detail
Lets goooo documentary style video for the first time in over a year!
I love the long videos from Apple Explained

I really like this longer video format compared to the usual shorter ones you’ve done recently
An old-style long form video. More of this please. 👍
Very fascinating! Love these longer form videos, and your attention to detail! Keep it up Greg!
honestly this is very beautiful. well done to the architects.
Thank you for making this
Another strategic benefit of the location is that the store is in the background of the WGN news set and is visible in the broadcasts.
This video is one of your best. The topic is very interesting.
This was super-duper interesting and very well made and narrated. Thank you!
I love the longer format of videos! Keep it up
Its a beautiful store, I got the chance to just sit and charge my phone while admiring the view of the river when I visited Chicago last summer.
I kinda love the fact that the falling ice issue was fixed with a software update 🤣
Great entertaining video 🤓 kudos
This are the kind of videos why I still don’t unsubscribe from this channel
Keep up the great work
Awesome video! So many details that the average person passing by just wouldn't notice. How about a video on the iconic Apple Store in Singapore??
I live there

This is a piece of art
“When you gonna hop on?”
“In a min, just gotta update my roof.”
Please keep doing this style! The longer videos on histories and stuff are way more interesting imo
This is the most interesting tech from Apple since M1 IMO
Only a company like Apple that's obsessed with design and attention to detail can pull off a store that seamlessly blends into its envoirment.
The new gen Apple store is like the future of stores designes. It looks so futuristic
Apple really put a lot of effort and work into this building and it came out really well
I'm new to this channel and this is the earliest I've ever been 🤣
Most of the videos I watch on this channel are from 3+ years ago
You know it’s Apple when the roof needs software updates
I'm from Chicago and enjoy going to this apple all the time

Hold on ima update my roof man 😂
I have been to the Michigan ave. store and it is crazy to see it in a video.
Your videos are classic, feels like time travelled to Steve jobs era😅
That was a work of art, man. You’re super talented I love the way you make your videos super interesting and easy to understand. Kudos to Apple too 🍎
Finally another better video of yours
Finally a good video

This what I greatly appreciate about Apple , that is ‘ pinpoint attention to detail .’
I miss this style of videos, and seeing the improved version is just incredible.

It’s no longer the Tribune offices, now it’s luxury apartments.
I think no other company including Microsoft and Samsung other than Apple would be so much creative with it's retail stores
A return to longer content
Thank you for making long videos
Does anyone know the name of the background music ? ( its so relaxing )
The Apple Store is the only store that can give it's roof a software update.
Nice, good that they gave most of the space to public and have a only 20 percent retail space out of the entire space.
Amazing! Thank you for this video!🙏
Great work
Great video man cheers!
Magnificent !!
I got to go see this now, I live in California the heart of Apple. would make a good trip
“Forcing people to use the stairs”
Wheelchair people: oh well, this will be fun
Great explanation as always. God bless you and the channel.
i love how the roof gets software updates
You cannot tell me they just update a roof. A ROOF! A SOFTWARE UPDATE TO A ROOF!
Chicago is easily one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
they are truly a generational company
Ayo video suggestion!
Why don’t new iPhone SEs have white front like older ones
Could you please do a video on the Regent street Apple Store in London?
BRING BACK THE OLD VIDEOS GREG PLZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"the falling ice is due to a software problem. Let me update the roof." lol
So when are we gonna get a History of the Tower Theater Apple Store? That's my favorite flagship especially the story about how that store came to be.
