Took me a month to build a 2ft quarter because im a perfectionist and had weatherproof each panel. Cost about $200 in materials and i have enough to build a second of the same size.
Go to your local concrete company and ask for leftover runs. At the end of every job they just dump the rest, so if you can come get it they’ll most likely let you have it.
@@evanchilds6003 one more thing , if u can’t do that. Instead of buying quick create individually u can buy it in bulk at a cheaper price. (Since Im sure your going to need quite a bit). Also Go to a wholesale building supply store instead of Lowe’s or home depo they’re usually cheaper too.
I built a 4x8 ft box last summer for about 90 bucks, called a steel place and got 2 pieces of the same angle iron they use on boxes at most parks. Drilled them in. Best box I've ever skated. Still good a year later
I skated a 2 ft tall, 4 foot wide Ramptech in my backyard from ~2006 until ~2014. Then I sold it to some little kid for like 50 bucks. I didn't want to, but I knew it was time. just started skating again a few day ago.
LOL I was watching this when I had free time in class, then the teacher started talking so I randomly paused and saw the secret message The random obstacle is C ledge Love the content ❤
I don't have to worry about neighbors complaining because a school is neighboring to my house and the part of the school that's neighbored to me house is the field. The neighbors I do have are across the street so I don't have to worry about neighbors complaining about the sound of a ramp.
I've always built quarters in my life out of ply and 2x4s and they're always really nice to ride and you can seal them w/ good stain or textured paint but if you want something that will last a long, long time just buy better quality wood... You can even add castor wheels on the back so you can flip it up and store it somewhere. It's even easier to make 2 nice quarters and have them facing each other so you have a simple half pipe... Also you can replace anything that breaks easily.
My dad is a construction worker He built me my own mini ramp with some knock off Skate Lite from home Depot. It didnt last but about a year but I still loved it
my neighbor who I am good friends with skates and her dad is an ex builder and a plumber so he built a quarter it's so fun and because we are friends with them we can use it whenever which has been super good over lockdown
I’ve been trying to find the full interview of the kid at the start of the video with the glasses for so long. It’s my local skatepark. Can anyone help me
Great job on the review. Didn’t oversell it but also didn’t act like it was crap either. Just showed why you like it for your use and why it would be good to buy considering the prices on things like wood and stuff rite now. Probably not the best ramp in the world but definitely for the price and convenience pretty good quality. Awesome review.
im a ramp builder in canada . mwa ramps . and have skated most my life. ramp tech is the only other ramp company id be willing to buy from cause hey know what they are doing. oc is the ikea of ramps. oh sorry keen ramps is another good company.
Hey Skate Box, i was skating for about 3 months then I took a break for 6 months (long story) and now I diceided to get back to skating, but the problem is since i haven't been skating for a while I can't even do any tricks anymore, so if you have any tips for comeback skaters i would very much apriciate that ( btw i just subscribed cuz I love your vids)

I have the same ramp. Love it. Only thing is the transition from ground to ramp is a little less smooth than a ramp with the sheet metal bottom.
I do have the older version

I got that same one off Amazon about a year ago and it’s holding up amazing!
stoked to hear that I've only had mine for a month or so but it's holding up really well so far
@@SkateBox yeah they’re amazing, especially for being plastic.
I’m about to set concrete down and make my own diy
