    Infinite Warfare was a good game, not the best but overall great. Multiplayer was good, the zombies mode was fun and the campaign was a movie in the game! Of course I do have my negative opinions like synaptic d**k riders that used NV4 and KBars, spawns in both zombies and multiplayer and campaign being a little too tricky sometimes. The game was good overall I wished more casual players gave this game a chance so that I wouldn't have to sweat my ass off against people who thought that they were in MLG finals.

    Alright, let's go with what's good about the game:
    1. Aesthetics. I kinda like the fact that not everything is meant to be completely sci-fi (look at the weapons for example, most of these look like something we can have irl). I love sci-fi, but the game got it right with the balance of something more realistic and futuristic.
    2. Maps. Except for Scorch and maybe Mayday, I can absolutely play any map with no problem (as a matter of fact, Grounded and Crusher jumped to my top10 CoD maps. And those two I'm not a fan of...I don't mind playing them that much. Additionally, there is no map that is always chosen whenever pops up (maybe Terminal is a bit overplayed), unlike previous CoDs (all the Nuketowns, Detroit in AW, Rust in MW2 and more...)
    3. Rigs. Apart from Synaptic which could use a bit of a nerf, rigs are pretty balanced and have visible strenghts, which can be turned into weaknesses if you know how (example - Stryker relies on their equipment, Flak Jacket pretty much makes their life harder, and Blind Eye counters the turret). Comparing this to BO3 specialists...absolute improvement, less insta-kills, no MW2 commando.
    4. Weapon balance - again, all of them have strenghts and weaknesses. NV4 annoys you? Just get up close and personal. KBAR is good up close, but struggles at longer ranges. You just have to adjust accordingly.
    5. Supply drops and variants - considering previous years, this is an obvious upgrade over both AW and BO3. I don't think I have anything to say here.
    6. Connection - for me, 92% of the time I will have reliable connection. As Ace said in the video, this depends on person, but with my below average internet connection is surprisingly good.
    7. Post-launch content - even if it was caused by lower playerbase than in previous years, this was great step in the right direction. Whenever something happens, new stuff is released, I immediatly can jump back into the game and start grinding the hell out of it. It just gives an incentive to come back once in a while.
    8. Campaign - absolutely amazing. For me this is easily top3 campaign of all CoDs.
    9. Zombies in Spaceland - as of right now, I don't have the Season Pass. I do, however, plan on buying it. Even still, ZiS is easily the most enjoyable zombie map I've ever played.
    10. PC performance - this is somewhere in the middle, so I'll mention it here and whenever what IW did wrong video gets released. The performance was tricky when I first got IW, but after making small adjustments the game runs pretty well on my laptop. Performance issue happens, but that's a given with any game. And like Ace said, the game loads pretty fast compared to older CoDs, apart from the first time you join the lobby in a session.
    11. Mission teams - those alone made me a bit play with a different playstyles than I usually do. This is something I've never done in older CoDs (probably because most of them had broken weapon balance which didn't allow for fun gameplay), and rewards are nice.
    That's most of the great stuff that IW did right IMO. Whenever the second part of the vid drops, I'll make similar comment on what IW did wrong, along with my final opinion.

  • @crunchy7200
    @crunchy7200 7 ปีที่แล้ว +22

    100% agree, I think this game was really good, another couple of things they did right in my opinion: mission teams, weekly calenges in MP ans zombies, gestures, accessories, loved to play with every weapon and variants were original and ballanced (exept the flatline and the machete).

    • @auroyalty
      @auroyalty 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Crunchy odd that you used the flatline and machete as examples for overpowered variants. In hordcore, the flatline is undoubtedly and unquestionably the best gun in the game but in core is fairly mediocre. I'd prefer any other nv4 variant in core. Now I don't have the machete, so I'm not exactly sure how good it is to use first hand, but I've never really come across someone absolutely dominating a lobby with it. It really just seems to be a reaver with slightly more ammo, which is also provided by the Toro variant, and 1 hit melee which provides very situational advantages. Otherwise though I do agree with the points you've made, just curious to see why you consider these variants the be unbalanced/overpowered

      Oh sorry, forgot to mention that I play on PC, and these guns dominate every lobby, have not seen a flatline in a long time but reavers are OP

    Anyone else sticking with IW when WW2 comes out as their primary CoD? It has great zombies and multiplayer plays so smoothly. I hope they keep adding new guns, like BO3 did, but so more than 1% of players can use them.

    • @SergeantQuackersThe2nd
      @SergeantQuackersThe2nd 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Throkers 👌. The Multiplayer and Zombies is so much better in Infinite Warfare. The Multiplayer is smooth and fun. The cluster amount of Content makes the game so much more enjoyable. Never get bored of Multiplayer, considering that Im Master Prestige 21.
      The Zombies revived my love for Zombies. BO3 Zombies just killed it to me. The amount of ridiculous Easter Eggs and horrible Game Performance just made me hate it. IW Zombies is what made me pick up a Controller and decapitated Zombies. Just love how the Weapons keep on getting added to Zombies and that there are also Contracts for Zombies. The fun factor was added back to Zombies. I have not played BO3 in a month. Just IW for days.
      PS. Shaolin Shuffle is lit.

    Incoming Comments from 10 Year Old Kids:
    'COD is dead'
    'People play this game?'
    'No one cares about this garbage game'
    'Stop posting IW, it sucks!'
    'Its a bad copy of BO3'
    (just wanted to point that out as there are too many Kids in the Comments these days).
    Infinity Ward has done a lot of things right, including:
    Gamemodes (all Gamemodes are well made and fun, even the Campaign!)
    Content (Free Weapons, Weekly Contracts, Special Events like the Halloween Event)
    And constant game balancing and fixes (such as Map fixing and Great Weapon Balancing!)
    Although Infinity Ward has done mistakes in the Past such as the lack of testing the Guns, the adding of 60 Camos and some Weapons being unobtainable such as the Axe and the Venom x. I personally think its better than BO3. IW went stale to great. BO3 went from decent to crap. Infinity Ward has put so much continous effort towards the game and its obvious that they spent a long time making this game. Including the Weapons and Zombies Content. I just hope more Content for IW still comes next year as Im still gonna play it. Just for the sake of my Enjoyment.

    I started off this year hating IW because of the beta and played MWR for 2-3 months without even touching IW.once I gave IW a chance and started playing it regularly I fell in love with the game and couldn’t stand playing MWR because of how slow and boring it became to me.I think IW became a very polished game and has received way too much hate and if you noticed the TH-camrs who abandoned it got totally owned in the game and I think that’s the main reason they stopped playing it.I think IW is a solid game and I enjoyed playing it.great video Ace👍🏻

    Honestly in my opinion Infinite Warfare had a huge comeback around Febuary and March from the community and my personal experience. When it first came out i was not really enjoying it only got to first prestige by christmas and it was getting alot of hate. After they fixed a ton of the issues I got hooked. I am now mp11 with black sky camo and rig gear with most variants and tons of keys and salvage saved up for weapons. The community seems to have less hate towards the game now. Idk if its because people were starting to enjoy it or if hating on the game got old but with my experience IW really did come back from the horrible response it got from the community. Overall Infonite Warfare was a great game, so fun to play on all three gamemodes.

    I played a trial version of IW for a few days. If I hadn't watched any videos, I would've guessed that the 'best' gun would be the Type 2. The KBar and NV4 complaints seemed absurd to me.

    • @AMJ22222
      @AMJ22222 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      BDAGamer You're not wrong for thinking that because it is the best gun in the game. It has a faster time to kill than the NV4 at short and long ranges with almost no recoil and I believe is faster than the KBAR. Once the gun was buffed everyone in the competitive scene was only using Type 2s and they all immediately decided that the gun melted to fast causing it to be less competitive which made all of them ban it within the competitive community even before the CWL(COD World League) (which I'm not even sure they officially banned it but no one used it in any tournaments so maybe) part of the reason the KBAR and NV4 are over used is you get them at such a low level and the NV4 especially is just an easy gun to aim with even though a lot of guns will kill faster.

    mission teams was a good feature that gives you an added objective to complete while playing, also the weapon variants you earned while playing as a certain team was a good motivation to keep at it, and also how variants had benefits in zombies as well. and weapon levels transfer between both modes was a great feature so you didn't have to regrind unless you prestige your weapons.

    What I really really liked is bounties coming to Zombies. I never ever had fun with Zombies because I never really gave it a chance. Easter Eggs always seemed like a story mode in which the devs forgot to put in the pointers to where the story continues.
    Bounties delivering a good useful reward for a small time investment really got me into IW Zombies, made me play the maps and try out something new. In the end I only played Zombies to get my keys and crates and stuff for the multiplayer, but it was a fun time that I spent with Zombies.

    for me the biggest issue with connections were party-ing up, if we were running a 6man, or doing some custom games or whatever, there are always a few people who arnt connectable to eachother for some reason, and everyone had to close their game to make it work (multiple times even, sometimes) but for the rest i had no real troubles with connection besides the occasional game or 2 where there was some lag/some people lagging, but you cant get rid of that in an multiplayer game, they will always be there.
    Another thing i really loved, was the protheus bug, the game was getting quite stale for me at that point, untill they brought out the protheus and the aimbot alongside it. Alot of people still want a gamemode with the protheus on release state, just to screw around in (because lets be honest, its always fun to get a quadkill with a sniper noscoping crossmap)

    Even if I wasn't able to play this game, I saw a bunch of content pertaining to the game. I saw a fair amount of good things from this game. The events were fun & unique, the weapon balancing was good like you can do good with each gun if you give it the time & practice for that particular gun. I like how there's no crutch perks which I disliked in previous CoD Titles such as BO2 with Toughness & BO3 w/Fast Hands. The DLC was handled much better than BO3. With BO3 I felt like I was playing a lottery when it came to the DLC content. With IW Supply Drop System I felt like I can get the base weapon for a challenge that is pretty reasonable if I don't have the season pass. The variants for those DLC guns I'm ok with being behind a supply drops I agree that's a fair trade off. Also I like how you can craft certain weapon variants that you want for that particular weapon which is a neat idea in my opinion. Would I play this game if I had the chance to play it? I'd actually would play this game because it has balanced properly in terms of weapon balances & certain aspects of the game (like if there's something wrong with a certain map, Infinity Ward would get that map fixed ASAP).

    - Bounties

    One small minor point with skipping the IW and Activision logo... This is appreciated. Worst offender in the COD series is BO with its seizure inducing non-skippable Treyarch logo... BUT past IW games you were able to make MP the default selection over story mode. So when you boot up you can just spam X and go right into a TDM match. Seemed like an oversight with Infinite Warfare.

    20 Positives, my 30-40 issues will be on what IW did wrong lol #1 Longer combat focus vs BO3, #2 I've never played so much zombies and almost got addicted, #3 the base maps were playable crusher with a slight exception, #4 there was more options to rigs than specialist, #5 I could get off a flag and no it won't reset, #6 loading times for launching a game and into a match,
    #7 love scorestreak variants, #8 weapon variants had some funny/amazing perks, #9 the keys you earn in zombies transfer to multiplayer, #10 almost every month 2XP,
    #11 other ways to earn variants besides cod points, #12 Mission teams added something new to the game, #13 2 Shot LMG Mammoth was so good, #14 connection was way better than bo3 like I could hit my targets , #15 some of the epic camos, #16 Demoltion, #17 2XP tokens, #18 Hyper TDM, #19 Shockwave is freakin hilarious no one expects you to use it and it's so UNDERRATED #20 If your whole team was playing 6v6 everyone could be in the Winner's circle and the taunts were funny.

    in my opinion i like iw better then bo3 because in 2020 i can find a match alot easier in iw then bo3 plus the movement to me is a bit better in iw and the weapons seemed to fit a futuristic setting a bit more with the energy weapons

    Only issue I have with the entire game is connections. For multiplayer, most of the time the connections are average. I notice that I'm not killing someone as fast as I should with a weapon, but the rest of the time I feel like I struggle to outgun .4 KDs as they somehow retain perfect accuracy as I wallrun around a corner, fly over their heads, and then lay waste into them. Sometimes I notice myself getting insta killed, but in the kill cam, apparently the dude fired 3 full burst trying to kill me. Rarely do I have perfect connections. But as said, that's the only issue I have with the entire game.

    Adding on to the rigs part, it’s great being able to change rigs mid game. Someone using phase shift? Switch to FTL and kill them mid phase shift. It’s a good addition imo.

    Felt that everything was spot on except the combat rig section. I felt that the complete opposite is true. In BO3, the specialist weapons always had some downside to them. Grav spikes took a long time (in cod terms) to activate, was loud and had a clear audiovisual queue, and could be completely avoided by boosting above ruin's body. The purifier took a full second to kill someone unless you hit them multiple times, this on top of the short range meant that most good players avoided it. The annihilator had 0 aim assist, sparrow and tempest had a charge up time, war machine could be countered with flak jacket + boosting, hive took a while to deploy, and the ripper is a knife. On the other hand, the claw is a crazy fast firing automatic weapon with pretty much 0 downsides, the eraser can be spam fired, unlike the annihilator, the grav cannon kills you instantly when you come close to it, equalizers have very little spread, and the ballista pretty much has aimbot. I felt that the weapons in ops 3 had counter play and were more risk-reward, with many good players avoiding them altogether because they payoff wasn't big enough, whereas in IW they feel like a powerup which almost guarantees you kills.

    Great video Ace. I really agree with your points. I think for me, the variety of weapons that you can use and still be viable is a huge factor for me. I am an average player at best but even I feel like I can compete with numerous guns. I even found a sniper I like (TF-141) which I had never done before. I don't have the DLC, but I never find myself getting bored of the maps (except Terminal; not a fan). I initially hated Grounded and now I have had some of my best games on that map. It can be frustrating going against Synaptic/NV4 flatlines all time in HC but I still really love this game. I am doing challenges now which takes you out of your comfort zone even more but really keeps things fun. I don't miss any of the previous games at all. I tried BLOPS3 not too long ago and played 2-3 games and switched right back to IW. Its going to be difficult giving this game up when WWII drops. We'll see.. Just my 2 cents.

    I agree with mostly everything Ace, except for the maps. I wasn't a huge fan of the maps this year because felt like they were too jumbled and chaotic...... on the opposite end there were only a few maps I was actually glad to play on, I had a hard time trying to figure out a solid opening route that worked a lot of the time

    4:00 : 1500 hours... 1500 hours is the average number of hours you need to play for getting all the DLC guns.
    Keep your triple play offers and your "no dupe" supply drops for the end. Because obtaining the last guns will require much more luck.

    The movement system, although not too different at the start, was fine tuned and more fluid--big plus.
    I'm not a fan of how variants worked, both weapon and scorestreaks. I understand AW's variant system was extreme and they didn't want a repeat but there weren't enough added pluses for me to go and spend keys or salvage let alone COD points. Something between IW and AW variant system would keep it fair in gun fights while making it worthwhile guns to work for...idk

    I'm really going to miss dual-mode weapons. I somehow doubt we're going to get anything like the type-2 or the EBR in WW2.

  • @lilusherwumbo4292
    @lilusherwumbo4292 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I kinda like IW but with the movement, I always had an issue with a wall run not connecting a lot more often than BO3.
    On a more positive note, I have pretty bad internet and I believe I've only experienced lag once in IW and that was because my router was dying.

  • @GhostProtocolXL
    @GhostProtocolXL 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Gonna talk about two points. First is connection and I totally agree with you on that. The hit detection is way better than both AW & BO3 and even though its a beta but IW's hit detection is better than WW2's Beta imo. And this is coming from a guy who plays IW in PC and from Asian region.
    And the next is Zombies and just like you I played more zombies in IW than any treyarch zombies and just like you said, I seriously loved how they went to the fun way rather than being serious. I kinda regret for not buying the Season Pass for zombies but I'm very happy with Zombies In Spaceland.
    Oh and on the subject of zombies, you didnt acknowledge the fact that one can earn keys by playing zombies in solo or co-op and the variants can be used in zombies which helped me a lot to play.

  • @InCYnityy
    @InCYnityy 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I can't disagree with anything. You hit the nail on the head. I think one thing you missed was the fact that they focused mor eon making the game FUN than what people consider "good". Instead of rebuilding the game throughout the year, they just made it hella fun for the people that actually liked it and I love that.

    Another thing that I enjoyed about IW more than BO3 is that IW didn't have these random frame loss issues, cleaner textures, and less goofy aesthetics (overall). Also feel like the weapons are far more interesting than BO3, and variants added the desire to grind but was wayyyyy more balanced than AW. My main complaints about IW come down to synaptic (when are devs going to learn that giving abilities that affect boost screw with their movement systems), and a few variants being annoying.

  • @benmoln

    I love the colorful maps and how great everything looks, that's for sure. I also liked that about BO3, but I do feel like the IW maps are a little smaller and better for the run and gun style. However there are several maps I can't stand and always back out of like Crusher, Terminal and Dominion. I was annoyed Cranked and Grind couldn't be permanent game modes, BUT it was awesome they got included from time to time. I think all the things you listed were good things to list and I agree with them. The only real negative for me with IW was when they combined Kill Confirmed with Frontline (the worst game mode ever) inexplicably. They could have combined Frontline with any other game mode and it would have made more sense, I'll never forgive them for that.

    I much prefer IW over BO3 for all the reasons you listed Ace. I really only have two complaints about IW:
    1) Synpatic's design (being skinny and flying around all the time, he is just hard to hit.)
    2) It takes forever to kill somebody sometimes and that uses up a ton of ammo. Scavenger is the closest perk to being a "crutch" perk just because you run out of ammo so easily.
    IW loading quickly = instant win. BO3 takes FOREVER to load anything.
    IW hit detection = instant win. BO3 you can hit somebody, and not hear anything. Then all of a sudden you hear the bullets land at once.
    Also, BO3 was very, very buggy (getting a party together was a pain. Tons of blue screen crashes everywhere. Even now in the create a class menu, you can't see what attachments are on your guns!) IW hasn't really been that buggy at all, besides a few issues with Xbox players.

  • @Pyrex92

    So many things right. My most favorite has been gun balance. I have 10 classes of different guns and types, from LMGs to pistols, and I can succeed equally with all of them. Maps, at first, I thought were terrible. Too many ways to enter the same exact room, couldn't hold anything down. Then I got better, and I realized that means I could dominate other players trying to do that. Movement is so smooth other than Synaptic. Rigs are.....fine. Micro Turret can go die in a fire. Everything else is understandable, way better than BO3 OP specialists. I burned out on BO3 in like 3 months and only played at most once a week. I'm still playing IW at least 5 times a week now and I still enjoy it to death.

    I like the overall detail of this game the fact that when you call on a scorestreak you don't just click something on the side of your arm you call it in through an earpiece now there are a couple of them that you will use your arm for and those are for scorestreaks that make sense however I like that in this game you can call and score streaks and shoot at the same time.
    The sliding and the boost jump is very smooth in this game I would say it's slightly better than Black ops 3 which means a lot given that Black ops 3 is supposed to be all about movement.
    My main last point for the multiplayer specifically is that it doesn't pretend to be something that it's not it knows that it's a futuristic Call of Duty game it knows that it's stupid and unique and so it doesn't try to copy an old Call of Duty formula and just modify it for a futuristic Call of Duty it's designed around it's setting and it's maps which I love it feels like it actually has passion and love.

    1:23 I am a BO3 player. Does IW also have that stupid auto mantle ? ( forcing you to wall run or climb each time you touch a wall or an object )
    This is definitely what pisses me off the most in that game ( that and also the slide fail bug )
    ( I wish there was a system like : keep the jump button pressed = no auto mantle. release the jump button = auto mantle is ON )
