Let me just say that you became one of my top 3 youtubers from the first few videos on, especially your BO3 videos helped me a lot! The spawn logic series should be a trade mark! :) I have to agree with you, BO3 got me hooked from the first second I went in. I could not believe how great the movement was and what an upgrade. For me, easily the best COD and it also makes me sad that it is over. But I will continue watching your videos! Keep up the amazing work.
You didn't mention team balancing, awareness, or high caliber? Those were three huge problems for a lot of players. I get that this was about YOUR experience but you mentioned other big problems that many players had and you didn't, so I thought you'd mention those.
I had literally no issue with awareness or high caliber at all. As for the team balancing, I actually forgot about my experience with that earlier in the life cycle because I always let viewers hop in and play with me so I never have to deal with it.
TheXclusiveAce come on high cal should have never been a thing. Makes any AR melt especially with all the flinch in the game. Too many times were I get hip fired by a KN and get 2 shot because I shot them first.
Team balancing for me was a 1v (whatever amount of sweats or teams) Almost always the first guy in spm always has the worse team. In objective game modes high calibre was sort of a bigger problem to me, but in a 1v1 in tdm I'd usually die by good players in hunted / infection regardless of high calibre or not. awareness has really good potential but can be countered. I've played tons of games with and without awareness against good players and I still go my usual 3.7kd+
Zee Zen good players can do good without awareness but the fact that dead silence doesn't completely make you silent while their using it, makes it more difficult to run around. And people who use awareness generally have a pretty good headset along with it.
Wow ,I almost expected this video in the form of a final opinion video This will definitely be one of my most memorable games since it's the first COD game I started played multiplayer Ah a year went so fast ,BO3 was an excellent game and I really liked the balance of weapons and play styles so that you could play however you want Even the maps were designed for almost all types of weapons and the flow of the game was good (except nuk3town😂✌) And the specialists added a really interesting twist to the game and are almost perfectly balanced( well..except the purifier ofc) For me , playing on a 3 bar sucked and with the hit detection issues ,sometimes it was hard to play against tougher opponents but I still had plenty of enjoyment out of this game And of course ,your guides and tips are what slowly transformed me into a better player overall. Here's to BO3 🍻

Black Ops 3 was the first Call of Duty game that I have ever played. I instantly fell in love with it and it has given me so much joy and satisfaction throughout the past year. Thank you Ace for helping me to understand Call of Duty more through your videos. I've enjoyed all of your game insight conveyed through TH-cam and your entertainment on live stream. I, like you really enjoyed (still enjoying) playing BO3. I stopped playing COD games after having a bad experience with Ghosts and Advanced Warfare. But, then I stumbled across you channel and your videos after the launch of BO3. I played the Zombies portion of BO3 on solo, and made it all the way to Prestige Master. Then I watched your videos which got me back into wanting to play multiplayer. I had really like BO2, so I was excited to try BO3. I started multiplayer right after launch, had the same bad experience as I had with Advanced Warfare, so I quit and went to try Zombies. After watching just about all of your videos, and using your helpful suggestions I got back into playing multiplayer, probably around February 2016. I have never been a very good player, (I'm older, at 58), but your videos helped me stay alive longer, improved my twitch aim and accuracy. I still have a low K/D but I find myself winning more gunfights, and actually winning more games. For the first time since I started playing MW3, I have a positive win ratio. I mainly play Dom, but have enjoyed playing Safeguard and even Fracture. I really enjoy your attitude towards playing and the way you handle your videos. Very professional. Please keep up the good work, and I look forward to watching your future videos on IW, (All ready watched most of them).
BO1, 2, 3 are all greatly superior to the other games from a multiplayer perspective. This was one of the best in COD history, multiplayer-wise...hands DOWN.
For me, my mothership is the deadliest killstreak with 3,000+ Kills and 10 kills per use. That worked so well for me and one game I got 30 kills with it! The RAPS are super good but didn't work as good as the Mothership!
I agree with most of your points, though i'm going to rate it an 8.5/10. While I did love the game, I had a few points of contention with it. 1- Firstly, while I got used to the specialists and did well with them, I really don't like that they are in the game at all and would really have preferred if they were never a part of it. 2- Secondly, I had a few issues with a few scorestreaks. In addition to the mothership being underpowered and unreliable, i've never liked that they top scorestreak in the game completely removed you from it. I've always preferred something akin to the swarm and dogs from BO2, a streak that felt amazing to get, got a lot of kills, and terrified your opponents when it was called it. The other streak I really had an issue with was the rolling thunder. It did not consistently get kills, but it would both glitch through ceilings and kill people in cover as well as shake the screen. I would be okay if everything only shook for the enemy, but when it's called in I tended to just hide because it made it impossible to do anything. Other than that, the only other one I had any problems with was the cerberus. When you drove it you got a ton of kills, but on it's own it tended to do nothing. Compare that to the AGR in BO2 and you have to wonder how they messed up so badly. Other than that I loved the game, and I actually have a point that I really enjoyed and you didn't mention. What were your thoughts on the Dark Matter camo? I would have added that point to your miscellaneous category since it added to the replayability of the game and made it so that many more people continue playing and enjoying it.
and that's why it should have been let to die... as my favorite CoD, MW1 should NOT have been touched, but hey I get to play it again with hopefully almost no cheaters.

The issue with the brecci and the haymaker is just that they received the same new mechanic as the argus and the KRM. This new mechanic was a good idea for the KRM, to make sure that you will get no hitmarker at very close range (it was very frustrating in previous cods), but it was a bad idea for shotguns that are not supposed to kill in one shot. With this new mechanic, no matter if you hit the ennemy with 1 pellet or 8, you will deal almost the same damage. This will help tremendously players who are bad at shooting, helping them to deal as much damage as a good shooter, just simply by hitting your toe with just one small pellet. And last but not least, the exo movements makes it difficult to aim and hit furious jumpers with shotgun, spreading around pellets fired from the hip.
Couldn't agree more Ace. Best MP COD experience to date. Fluidity of movement, gun balance, TTK, maps, graphics....I mean its just one of those games where you play and don't think. One experiences complete immersion in BO3 MP. Movement and control are precise and responsive. Still use a wide variety of guns and changing attachments and such constantly. Have over 25k kills. I will likely be playing BO3 for some time going forward. It's my best COD experience and I've been playing since the original. I would have given it a 9.5/10 and only because nothing is perfect. My hats off to the developers as no matter how expensive the game and DLCs were, I got my money's worth and then some. $100-120 for 100s of hours of entertainment is an excellent value. I concur, hate to see the life cycle of BO3 coming to an end. And thank you Ace for all your amazing channel content, you also enriched the experience tremendously.
Ace, it's not often that TH-camrs and I have the same point of view. This was spot on for me though in terms of my opinion on the game. I loved Black Ops 1 multiplayer, Black Ops 2 multiplayer wasn't as good in my opinion, the Zombies was the best part about that game, but Black Ops 3 was fun for me all around. I highly enjoy playing this game and it's the first game I started doing competitive matches. Even my friends complain about this game and can't wait for IW to come out. I'm just sitting here like...you're crazy. This is one of the best COD's to ever release. Look forward to playing with you someday if you're on late! Every time you're streaming I'm at work!
I thought this was a great video and review. Super impressed at the detail you put into it and I have to agree with pretty much everything you said. I loved this game and it is easily one of the best I've played, but we are in common with the misses it has. Really enjoyed your channel all year long for this game. Absolutely agree. Supply drop weapons were my primary frustration, but it was a very fun game and the community was arguably the best it's been in years (maybe ever?). Made a lot of friends and improved a lot as a player. 9/10 for me too.
This was my first fps on pc. Mainly played elder scrolls and fallout. Also BO3 is my first ONLINE game of any category period. I've watched your content to get an idea about what is needed to catch me up with everyone else that is used to this type of gameplay. Kudos to you for that. I now consider myself an average player if I can do better than a 1 k/d right now, and there are days when I can achieve a 2-3 k/d (yay me). That said, I agree about all you've mentioned (especially about supply drop weapons!). Team balancing could've been mentioned as well as spawn killing. I've come to understand the term "rage quit" quite well as a result. I traded in my xbox one for a pic because of this game, so 10 / 10 for me. I just hope COD IW becomes as well remembered. Great video Ace, although I agree with most of your points, there are a few things is disagree on, or would like to add. The lobby/team balancing was quite frustrating at times especially for decent players playing solo; perhaps bringing back mercenary tdm could have helped. I also experienced a ton of party issues in this game, throughout the entire year. From leaving people behind, not being able to join friends, splitting up the party on different teams, throwing only 1 person into a game in progress and kicking everyone else, this game had a lot of party problems. Ambient/ background noise in a lot of maps was annoying to me. Although I agree that gun balance was very well done, I didn't really fall in love with any of the guns in this game. A lot of the iron sights were frustrating and the overall gun sounds and 'feel' just wasn't great. I'm also disappointed with the lack of rewards for reaching various master prestige levels in this game. No extra supply drops, weapon bribes, special gear, guns... nothing except for reaching level 1000. For me this removed all incentive to level up after hitting 10th prestige. Oh look another double xp weekend that basically doesn't help me at all... Finally, the DLC weapons in supply drops is extremely frustrating, especially as someone with a season pass. I firmly believe that the season pass should give you access to all content released withing the year. Overall I give it a 7.5/10.

its really refreshing seeing someone not hate on the game and jump on the bandwagon, ive been playing round friends since mw1 and got waw and m first owned copy and this has definitely been an enjoyable game people dont want to admit that though cause its "cool" to hate on the cod
I agree with your rating. This game has been so much fun and am gonna miss it. I just want to add that the game itself is very pleasing to the eye. It's got nice graphics and the menu load outs give it that arcade style feel which I feel is how treyarch wanted the game to be.
I loved this game, it's probably my all time favorite CoD. The one thing I hated was how frustrating it was to get a party together. Saying the party isn't joinable after recieving an invitation (or just when I try to just enter an open party) was really frustrating. Sometimes it took over 10 minutes just to get into a party with a single friend
BO3 was a 9/10 for me. I had gotten bored with boots on the ground, fighting for the same hallway game after game. But once this game perfected, and I embraced, advanced movement, I found a whole new dimension of gun fighting fun.
I'm going to carry on playing BO3 for another year. I didn't really get on with Infinite Warfare beta and how washed out it all looked. Hope you enjoy playing Infinite Warfare and I'll still watch your content...peace!!!

Overall I really enjoyed the game. I like the movement system, the map flow, gun balancing, perks, specialists and scorestreaks. I'm an average player and have almost reached Prestige level 700 and have the best KD I've ever had in a COD game. Your videos through this year have been awesome and very insightful Thank you for all your hard work. Looking forward to seeing you in IW
Black Ops 3 was a good game to start. But it died after a few months for me. I went back and played older Cods and other games. I just couldn't have fun on it. That's my experience anyway.
I agree, when i first saw bo3 coming out. i was more excited than i am when i hear about infinite warfare. cod4 remastered actually looks good. they have level 1000's in that as well surprisingly. and new calling cards n stuff I thought the specialists would ruin the game, but i actually like them. and i think they are fair enough. and i really liked how they showed the top 3 players and you could do a taunt.
I'd give it a 8/10 at this time of the year, back in February my rating would've been higher but overall black ops 3 was really enjoyable for the most part, I don't agree with some perks, attachments (high caliber in particular)
My biggest problem is that I feel like my money on the season pass for multiplayer was almost completely wasted. All 11 of the DLC guns (not including melee weapons) were behind supply drops and what did being a loyal paying customer get you? 1! What's even worse is that for me, the 1 free weapon bribe season pass holders got gave me a duplicate of the NX Shadowclaw which I'd been lucky enough to get shortly after it came out with cryptokeys! All the supply drop crap combined with the fact that even with 4 DLC packs I hardly play on any of the news maps makes me wonder why I even bothered buying it.
After listening to your points, I have a better appreciation for this game. Even with the current COD cycle and where this game is -- right now (ending) its easy to be negative about it. I hope down the road I can play again and enjoy it more. Thanks for the review
I agree with everything except, the mothership thing. The cerberus is the best scorestreak in the game when you control it. And honestly as long as it lasts and as good as it is in almost every game mode should be maybe switched with the gi unit. The mothership is beast. My kd with it is over 17. you just have to know how to position it. most people won't get it enough to practice with it though so the feel like the one time they got it and only got a few kills that its not worth it but it is. This was my best COD experience as well and I also did the better in this game than all the other ones too. Keep up the good work Ace. You and Jimmydean are my favorite youtubers. BO3 was my first COD and I absolutely love it. I agree with you on supply drops and had difficulties finding lobbies after I purchased the dlc's but I still love it. However my biggest complaint would be that noobs like me had no idea what to do or how to play, or hints etc when the game came out and personally it took me a couple of months (and a subscription to your channel :)) to get a full grasp on all the aspects of the game. For this same reason I didnt play zombies ... i tried but didnt know what the game was expecting from me
the funny thing about dlc for me is that on pc they eventually forced everyone to buy them altogether and they gave dlc its own playlist as well as the fact that you can manually uninstall dlc through steam.
I loved this game too. My biggest frustrations were specialists (I think it would be better without them completely), player collision in a game that is so incredibly fast paced, and auto mantling that is super slow in a game is so fast paced.
The thing with sniping is that I've used them a lot, but even hardbound is still very hard when there's no aim assist and people are jumping around the map very quickly.
Ace I know you've said in the past that you're not a montage maker but I think it would be a fitting contribute too put up a montage at the end of a COD's life. Where you've hit clip throughout the year in that game title

I loved the game for the most part, but I experienced frequent connection issues as well as constant fps issues. I also can't forget about all the times I went into combat and my reticle still hadn't loaded up yet
My first COD was GHOST; that being said..I liked BO3 and I will be sneaking back to it as mi h as possible!! This is the game that I was able to put my skills together...thanks to you and a few other ytubers, so thank You! Balanced guns, balanced movement systems...but my biggest issue was the supply drops. I gotten no guns at all..and yes I am a season pass holder..but that shouldn't really matter.
My main problem with black ops 3 was that i bought the season pass and i downloaded the dlc and i cannot recall the last time i played on a DLC map. For some reason I never get a dlc map in to rotation unless i go to the special playlist :/

I think BO3 started out great, but faded. I think the discouraging supply drop weapons "system" played a role in that. It felt like there wasn't a point because I could grind for a long time and get nothing.
Hey Ace should I buy cod advanced warfare or black ops 3 , I am new to the cod franchise and infinite warfare is my first cod, so what should I buy first if I want to go back and explore the older cods black ops 3 or advanced warfare
Ace you didn't mention the party penalty. It seems like the game lags and plays poorly when you are in a party. Also there are problems sometimes even getting a party together (at least on Xbox).
I used to be a hardcore halo player then I moved on to CoD (After Halo Reach). Now I've moved on from CoD to Overwatch. Hey XclusiveAce, how come you don't play Overwatch?
To me it seemed the connection issues got worse with each DLC release. Even now at the end, all of a sudden I'm getting moderate connection all the time for no reason. I have great internet speed, 60 download and 30 upload. I'm LAN connected and did port forwarding.
Honestly, bo3 was the best cod I've played, and I've played since mw3. Just the entire feel and movement of the game was amazing, but the main reason I love it was bc of the grind and strive to get really good at this game. I can remember when I would come home from school and drop my bags to play, and I would play from day to night on weekends. Everything about the game really struck me, and even though u haven't played it in a while, I bet I am still decent. PS love your vids ace! started watching since bo3 lmao

It was not game breaking, but the frame rate drop issue took months to fix. Affect a lot of youtubers and streamers. Not sure if the devs addressed it before it was fixed but in my opinion it is not something that should take MONTHS to fix.
Fair review. Agree with you for the most part. 8/10 for me, mostly due to that month when the connection got messed up. Two misc. fails (and it looks as though IW will not have them either) not mentioned. Not having Clan Wars and an app to go with it. This really shortened the playability of the game over a whole year. Was bored by June because of this. And it (the App) was good for emblem design and management as well. The other small fail, and I think this should be in every COD from here out, is not having a firing range. The greatest idea Sledgehammer had, and these other two studios should've included it.
Bo3 was my first ever shooter game. I had some pretty good times playing it, but most definitely agree about he supply drops, they were absolutely absurd. Overall I enjoyed the game, didn't like some of the DLC maps, but other than that it was fun. I'm looking forward to playing COD4 remastered as I'm hearing that game was a fan favorite

i completly agree with ace, the game was one of the most complete cod games ive wver played so im sad to say its over. i will still play black ops 3 until the game breaks because i love it so much, no cod 4 is taking me away from some good ol BO3!
Alright here's my thoughts on the game. This is the first CoD that I've owned (I have played other ones but only at friends' houses). I can agree with most of the points Ace made in the video. Gameplay and movement system is great, the guns feel quite unique, and the maps were pretty good. But there a few negatives that affected me and a lot of my friends. First of all, I feel that the game was at its best in the earlier days. Imo the game started getting worse after DLC1 in a variety of ways. As someone who was garbage at the game in its earlier days, I feel the gun balance was better before than it is now. I can forgive the game for that and understand that the player base changed throughout the life cycle of the game and more people started using the more powerful weapons which is fine. Also it is unfair that season pass holders don't get all the weapons, the supply drop system was so disappointing and greedy on Activision's part, and it is pretty sad that there are more supply drop weapons than base game weapons now. I don't have great internet, but my connections were pretty good in the early months, but then a huge game breaker started happening for me after DLC2--I couldn't find any games but TDM. If my friend was party leader, we could instantly get into any gamemode. So when I want to play solo I can only play TDM, it sucks, not to mention connections have gotten worse, the game is pretty laggy now. Another bad thing is team balance. I lost count of the amount of screenshots I've taken of ridiculously unbalanced teams where our team would get tripled capped almost the entire game and have infinite respawn and die to RAPS or Wraith, but the same can be said vice versa, there were games where my team completely annihilated the enemy. Probably the most negative issue there. Most base game maps were good, DLC maps were 50-50, but the DLC map rotation is awful. I can say that at least 95% of games now are on base game maps, which is very disappointing and can be easily fixed by making a playlist with all the DLC maps rather than the newest. Also, let's not talk about playing Nuketown 30% of the time. The in game system of joining friends has always been broken from the beginning and only works 30% of the time. As of late, I haven't played the game as much because of all the listed problems. I feel like this game is one patch away from being really good like it was before, but sadly I don't think any of this will be fixed. I think before DLC1 the game was a 9/10 but now I'd give it a 6.5/10. To conclude, I would say that the game started off great but slowly rotted away, nonetheless it's still good. Idk if I'm gonna buy IW tbh although MWR looks great, so I'll see but to anyone who read let me know if you agree and have a nice day!
I overall share your opinions but I don't agree with few points you have made: - Every DLC screwed matchmacking and in-game connection -mainly for DLC owners-; sure, they got fixed in few days/weeks (IIRC DLC3 was the worst, time-to-fix wise) but after the launch DLC, the game was barely playable for a week for a lot of people. - After the nerf of the blackhat it just became useless: I loved the blackhat in BO2 (like half of my classes had it) but I couldn't stand the BO3 version; my main complaint here is why they didn't make it just like the previous one, instead of pushing on the steal-scorestreak -main- usage. - I love the three lane map design and I'd say 90% of the released maps, but it would have been better to have few different maps (just a couple, to mix thing up from time to time). Apart for those issues and the few you've mentioned, I found BO3 a really enjoyable experience, so I would give it a little bit less than your score: 8.5/10 Sorry for bad english :)
The title update/DLC3 connection issues never went away for me. if anything, they got worse over time. stopped playing at that point, didn't even go back to see the fourth map pack. which is a shame, since the game really was a lot of fun.
One of the major issue with not finding DLC games IS the fact that DLC divides your players! Get ride of payed DLC. It brakes up the player base way to much. Make you money from selling crates and weapon packs but have the damn maps available to everyone.
I agree with pretty much all of your points, but have to say that the connections/frame drops/etc. after DLC3 just destroyed the (until that point) positive experience with BO3 for me. It took a lot longer than a week or two (for me) for things to start getting better so that - along with the supply drop only weapons - really put a damper on the game. I still played, but just didn't get as much enjoyment as I was earlier on. If it wasn't for those two points, I'd easily give the game an 8.5/10, but those 2 things drop it to a 6 for me
Whats your thought on team balancing? Im not a fantastic player, but id say im for sure above average and it seems like it's always me against the other team. I usually get teamates that cant hold their own, and im against a team of great players. I love BO3 and honestly think its in the running for one of the best cods, but the team balancing never got changed. never got fixed. whats your idea on that?
Weapons all felt samey, I didn't like how loud the hitmarker sound was in this game, it was obnoxious and ruined the feel of the guns. And I hated the movement, it was way too much in the air. I think Infinite Warfare does it right and keeps it on the ground and only uses the advanced movement for specific purposes and even then it doesn't always save you. Also the lag was terrible, didn't have an issue in other CoD games but this game was borderline unplayable at times, and it was never fixed. This game was just so unenjoyable to me, it got really boring really fast. But I had a blast with the IW beta and like what they did with it for the most part.
the nx shadow claw was op. possibly very op. picked up a couple times and would get a lot of kills, til out of ammo. I have attachments unlocked for it and don't have the weapons.
I am almost always on a 4 bar with a good connection but throughout the game I haven't been able to join some people and towards the end I get random 3-5 second connection interruptions throughout my matches. Usually one to three times a game
overall I agree with your review in relation to the past COD's. my biggest complaint is and still is the latency issues. this is a visual acute response game. can't respond if I don't see the opponent until after they shoot me. also the unlocks take so many players out of playing the objective just so they can unlock a camo. bad enough so many players don't care to PTFO.
My top 3 Call of Duty games (in no particular order) are Black Ops 1, 2, and 3. Treyarc just knows how to make the best CoD games. Going back to boots on the ground is a bit tough, honestly. I've really enjoyed the BO3 movement system. It's exponentially better than AW. I agree with the 9/10. Anyway, love the vids!
I'm going to keep playing this, I still have to complete dark matter. I was too worried about my KD, but now I'm ready to finish up. Heck, I still play Ghosts and AW from time to time. LOL
Instead of rupture/outskirts they should have brought back dome from world at war that one had tanks in it and it had lots of services that could have been wall runned on.
The only issue I have with this game is team balancing, if this was fixed it would be 100% perfect for me. This COD is the closest to perfection than any other COD. Everything has been balanced very well; guns, perks, attachments, specialist abilities and weapons, scorestreaks, and there hasn't been anything like that in any other COD.
I have to disagree with one thing... disabling DLC is useless. I have the season pass, and never have problems getting into games. If anything I believe that the programming only takes DLC into account if convenient. One of my biggest problems was actually getting to play on DLC maps, as it seemed to be the exceptions, not the norm. All in all good video though
6/10 because the lag got really bad and they nerfed too much especially the kuda and man of war it was already a difficult weapon for me but i got use to it i played alot but after all the balancing it just didn't feel the same
Great Video. As much as I enjoyed Bo3, two things highly affected my opinion of the game. 1. Connection: I live in Finland. I promise you, i'm not exaggerating with this: Up until mid January, 80 percent of lobbies would skip and were laggy. Not small lag spikes, but constant spikes. Contacted support, they asked all 5 of us to restart our modems.. smh. 2. Arena mode: Unlike the connection issue, this one is more of an opinion. Arena mode was an sad disappointment. It was almost unplayable here in Finland upto march ( Took 10 mins to find a lobby) And when you find a game someone would leave. But i enjoy my Cod and playing with friends.. So long as the servers are good here.
Nas I feel for you I live in London and finding arena matches were pretty quick like within 2 mins depending on the time competitive in black ops 3 has got me hooked on bo3 I can't deal with public match tryhards or shotgun noobs
6/10 it was fun, played the crap out if it for about 10 months but connection issues, frustrating time trying to connect with my friends 9 times outta 10 (unable to send game invites, parties breakup, unable to join parties )and the horrible straight up flinch that ended with the enemy killing me via headshot made me hate this game sooooooooo much at times.

Let me just say that you became one of my top 3 youtubers from the first few videos on, especially your BO3 videos helped me a lot! The spawn logic series should be a trade mark! :) I have to agree with you, BO3 got me hooked from the first second I went in. I could not believe how great the movement was and what an upgrade. For me, easily the best COD and it also makes me sad that it is over. But I will continue watching your videos! Keep up the amazing work.

You didn't mention team balancing, awareness, or high caliber? Those were three huge problems for a lot of players. I get that this was about YOUR experience but you mentioned other big problems that many players had and you didn't, so I thought you'd mention those.
I had literally no issue with awareness or high caliber at all. As for the team balancing, I actually forgot about my experience with that earlier in the life cycle because I always let viewers hop in and play with me so I never have to deal with it.

TheXclusiveAce come on high cal should have never been a thing. Makes any AR melt especially with all the flinch in the game. Too many times were I get hip fired by a KN and get 2 shot because I shot them first.
Team balancing for me was a 1v (whatever amount of sweats or teams) Almost always the first guy in spm always has the worse team. In objective game modes high calibre was sort of a bigger problem to me, but in a 1v1 in tdm I'd usually die by good players in hunted / infection regardless of high calibre or not. awareness has really good potential but can be countered. I've played tons of games with and without awareness against good players and I still go my usual 3.7kd+
Zee Zen good players can do good without awareness but the fact that dead silence doesn't completely make you silent while their using it, makes it more difficult to run around. And people who use awareness generally have a pretty good headset along with it.

Ah a year went so fast ,BO3 was an excellent game and I really liked the balance of weapons and play styles so that you could play however you want
Even the maps were designed for almost all types of weapons and the flow of the game was good (except nuk3town😂✌)
And the specialists added a really interesting twist to the game and are almost perfectly balanced( well..except the purifier ofc)
For me , playing on a 3 bar sucked and with the hit detection issues ,sometimes it was hard to play against tougher opponents but I still had plenty of enjoyment out of this game
And of course ,your guides and tips are what slowly transformed me into a better player overall.

I, like you really enjoyed (still enjoying) playing BO3. I stopped playing COD games after having a bad experience with Ghosts and Advanced Warfare. But, then I stumbled across you channel and your videos after the launch of BO3. I played the Zombies portion of BO3 on solo, and made it all the way to Prestige Master. Then I watched your videos which got me back into wanting to play multiplayer. I had really like BO2, so I was excited to try BO3. I started multiplayer right after launch, had the same bad experience as I had with Advanced Warfare, so I quit and went to try Zombies. After watching just about all of your videos, and using your helpful suggestions I got back into playing multiplayer, probably around February 2016. I have never been a very good player, (I'm older, at 58), but your videos helped me stay alive longer, improved my twitch aim and accuracy. I still have a low K/D but I find myself winning more gunfights, and actually winning more games. For the first time since I started playing MW3, I have a positive win ratio. I mainly play Dom, but have enjoyed playing Safeguard and even Fracture. I really enjoy your attitude towards playing and the way you handle your videos. Very professional. Please keep up the good work, and I look forward to watching your future videos on IW, (All ready watched most of them).
BO1, 2, 3 are all greatly superior to the other games from a multiplayer perspective. This was one of the best in COD history, multiplayer-wise...hands DOWN.
For me, my mothership is the deadliest killstreak with 3,000+ Kills and 10 kills per use. That worked so well for me and one game I got 30 kills with it! The RAPS are super good but didn't work as good as the Mothership!

I agree with most of your points, though i'm going to rate it an 8.5/10.
While I did love the game, I had a few points of contention with it.
1- Firstly, while I got used to the specialists and did well with them, I really don't like that they are in the game at all and would really have preferred if they were never a part of it.
2- Secondly, I had a few issues with a few scorestreaks. In addition to the mothership being underpowered and unreliable, i've never liked that they top scorestreak in the game completely removed you from it. I've always preferred something akin to the swarm and dogs from BO2, a streak that felt amazing to get, got a lot of kills, and terrified your opponents when it was called it. The other streak I really had an issue with was the rolling thunder. It did not consistently get kills, but it would both glitch through ceilings and kill people in cover as well as shake the screen. I would be okay if everything only shook for the enemy, but when it's called in I tended to just hide because it made it impossible to do anything. Other than that, the only other one I had any problems with was the cerberus. When you drove it you got a ton of kills, but on it's own it tended to do nothing. Compare that to the AGR in BO2 and you have to wonder how they messed up so badly.
Other than that I loved the game, and I actually have a point that I really enjoyed and you didn't mention. What were your thoughts on the Dark Matter camo? I would have added that point to your miscellaneous category since it added to the replayability of the game and made it so that many more people continue playing and enjoying it.

The issue with the brecci and the haymaker is just that they received the same new mechanic as the argus and the KRM. This new mechanic was a good idea for the KRM, to make sure that you will get no hitmarker at very close range (it was very frustrating in previous cods), but it was a bad idea for shotguns that are not supposed to kill in one shot. With this new mechanic, no matter if you hit the ennemy with 1 pellet or 8, you will deal almost the same damage. This will help tremendously players who are bad at shooting, helping them to deal as much damage as a good shooter, just simply by hitting your toe with just one small pellet.
And last but not least, the exo movements makes it difficult to aim and hit furious jumpers with shotgun, spreading around pellets fired from the hip.
Couldn't agree more Ace. Best MP COD experience to date. Fluidity of movement, gun balance, TTK, maps, graphics....I mean its just one of those games where you play and don't think. One experiences complete immersion in BO3 MP. Movement and control are precise and responsive. Still use a wide variety of guns and changing attachments and such constantly. Have over 25k kills. I will likely be playing BO3 for some time going forward. It's my best COD experience and I've been playing since the original. I would have given it a 9.5/10 and only because nothing is perfect. My hats off to the developers as no matter how expensive the game and DLCs were, I got my money's worth and then some. $100-120 for 100s of hours of entertainment is an excellent value. I concur, hate to see the life cycle of BO3 coming to an end. And thank you Ace for all your amazing channel content, you also enriched the experience tremendously.
Ace, it's not often that TH-camrs and I have the same point of view. This was spot on for me though in terms of my opinion on the game. I loved Black Ops 1 multiplayer, Black Ops 2 multiplayer wasn't as good in my opinion, the Zombies was the best part about that game, but Black Ops 3 was fun for me all around. I highly enjoy playing this game and it's the first game I started doing competitive matches. Even my friends complain about this game and can't wait for IW to come out. I'm just sitting here like...you're crazy. This is one of the best COD's to ever release. Look forward to playing with you someday if you're on late! Every time you're streaming I'm at work!

Absolutely agree. Supply drop weapons were my primary frustration, but it was a very fun game and the community was arguably the best it's been in years (maybe ever?). Made a lot of friends and improved a lot as a player. 9/10 for me too.
This was my first fps on pc. Mainly played elder scrolls and fallout. Also BO3 is my first ONLINE game of any category period. I've watched your content to get an idea about what is needed to catch me up with everyone else that is used to this type of gameplay. Kudos to you for that. I now consider myself an average player if I can do better than a 1 k/d right now, and there are days when I can achieve a 2-3 k/d (yay me). That said, I agree about all you've mentioned (especially about supply drop weapons!). Team balancing could've been mentioned as well as spawn killing. I've come to understand the term "rage quit" quite well as a result. I traded in my xbox one for a pic because of this game, so 10 / 10 for me. I just hope COD IW becomes as well remembered. Great video Ace, although I agree with most of your points, there are a few things is disagree on, or would like to add. The lobby/team balancing was quite frustrating at times especially for decent players playing solo; perhaps bringing back mercenary tdm could have helped. I also experienced a ton of party issues in this game, throughout the entire year. From leaving people behind, not being able to join friends, splitting up the party on different teams, throwing only 1 person into a game in progress and kicking everyone else, this game had a lot of party problems. Ambient/ background noise in a lot of maps was annoying to me. Although I agree that gun balance was very well done, I didn't really fall in love with any of the guns in this game. A lot of the iron sights were frustrating and the overall gun sounds and 'feel' just wasn't great. I'm also disappointed with the lack of rewards for reaching various master prestige levels in this game. No extra supply drops, weapon bribes, special gear, guns... nothing except for reaching level 1000. For me this removed all incentive to level up after hitting 10th prestige. Oh look another double xp weekend that basically doesn't help me at all... Finally, the DLC weapons in supply drops is extremely frustrating, especially as someone with a season pass. I firmly believe that the season pass should give you access to all content released withing the year. Overall I give it a 7.5/10.

its really refreshing seeing someone not hate on the game and jump on the bandwagon, ive been playing round friends since mw1 and got waw and m first owned copy and this has definitely been an enjoyable game people dont want to admit that though cause its "cool" to hate on the cod
I agree with your rating. This game has been so much fun and am gonna miss it. I just want to add that the game itself is very pleasing to the eye. It's got nice graphics and the menu load outs give it that arcade style feel which I feel is how treyarch wanted the game to be.
I loved this game, it's probably my all time favorite CoD. The one thing I hated was how frustrating it was to get a party together. Saying the party isn't joinable after recieving an invitation (or just when I try to just enter an open party) was really frustrating. Sometimes it took over 10 minutes just to get into a party with a single friend
BO3 was a 9/10 for me. I had gotten bored with boots on the ground, fighting for the same hallway game after game. But once this game perfected, and I embraced, advanced movement, I found a whole new dimension of gun fighting fun.
I'm going to carry on playing BO3 for another year. I didn't really get on with Infinite Warfare beta and how washed out it all looked. Hope you enjoy playing Infinite Warfare and I'll still watch your content...peace!!!

Overall I really enjoyed the game. I like the movement system, the map flow, gun balancing, perks, specialists and scorestreaks. I'm an average player and have almost reached Prestige level 700 and have the best KD I've ever had in a COD game. Black Ops 3 was a good game to start. But it died after a few months for me. I went back and played older Cods and other games. I just couldn't have fun on it. That's my experience anyway.

I'd give it a 8/10 at this time of the year, back in February my rating would've been higher but overall black ops 3 was really enjoyable for the most part, I don't agree with some perks, attachments (high caliber in particular)
My biggest problem is that I feel like my money on the season pass for multiplayer was almost completely wasted. All 11 of the DLC guns (not including melee weapons) were behind supply drops and what did being a loyal paying customer get you? 1! What's even worse is that for me, the 1 free weapon bribe season pass holders got gave me a duplicate of the NX Shadowclaw which I'd been lucky enough to get shortly after it came out with cryptokeys! All the supply drop crap combined with the fact that even with 4 DLC packs I hardly play on any of the news maps makes me wonder why I even bothered buying it.
After listening to your points, I have a better appreciation for this game. Even with the current COD cycle and where this game is -- right now (ending) its easy to be negative about it. I hope down the road I can play again and enjoy it more. Thanks for the review
I agree with everything except, the mothership thing. The cerberus is the best scorestreak in the game when you control it. And honestly as long as it lasts and as good as it is in almost every game mode should be maybe switched with the gi unit. The mothership is beast. My kd with it is over 17. you just have to know how to position it. most people won't get it enough to practice with it though so the feel like the one time they got it and only got a few kills that its not worth it but it is. This was my best COD experience as well and I also did the better in this game than all the other ones too. Keep up the good work Ace. You and Jimmydean are my favorite youtubers. BO3 was my first COD and I absolutely love it. I agree with you on supply drops and had difficulties finding lobbies after I purchased the dlc's but I still love it. However my biggest complaint would be that noobs like me had no idea what to do or how to play, or hints etc when the game came out and personally it took me a couple of months (and a subscription to your channel :)) to get a full grasp on all the aspects of the game. For this same reason I didnt play zombies ... i tried but didnt know what the game was expecting from me
the funny thing about dlc for me is that on pc they eventually forced everyone to buy them altogether and they gave dlc its own playlist as well as the fact that you can manually uninstall dlc through steam.
I loved this game too. My biggest frustrations were specialists (I think it would be better without them completely), player collision in a game that is so incredibly fast paced, and auto mantling that is super slow in a game is so fast paced.
The thing with sniping is that I've used them a lot, but even hardbound is still very hard when there's no aim assist and people are jumping around the map very quickly.
Ace I know you've said in the past that you're not a montage maker but I think it would be a fitting contribute too put up a montage at the end of a COD's life. Where you've hit clip throughout the year in that game title

In my opinion, Black Ops 3 is an enjoyable game. I agree with a lot your points, although I personally think the Mothership can be very effective. However I can understand why it isn't for everyone due to the disadvantages it has.

I loved the game for the most part, but I experienced frequent connection issues as well as constant fps issues. I also can't forget about all the times I went into combat and my reticle still hadn't loaded up yet

My first COD was GHOST; that being said..I liked BO3 and I will be sneaking back to it as mi h as possible!! This is the game that I was able to put my skills together...thanks to you and a few other ytubers, so thank You! Balanced guns, balanced movement systems...but my biggest issue was the supply drops. I gotten no guns at all..and yes I am a season pass holder..but that shouldn't really matter.
My main problem with black ops 3 was that i bought the season pass and i downloaded the dlc and i cannot recall the last time i played on a DLC map. For some reason I never get a dlc map in to rotation unless i go to the special playlist :/

Ace you didn't mention the party penalty. It seems like the game lags and plays poorly when you are in a party. Also there are problems sometimes even getting a party together (at least on Xbox).

To me it seemed the connection issues got worse with each DLC release. Even now at the end, all of a sudden I'm getting moderate connection all the time for no reason. I have great internet speed, 60 download and 30 upload. I'm LAN connected and did port forwarding.

Honestly, bo3 was the best cod I've played, and I've played since mw3. Just the entire feel and movement of the game was amazing, but the main reason I love it was bc of the grind and strive to get really good at this game. I can remember when I would come home from school and drop my bags to play, and I would play from day to night on weekends. It was not game breaking, but the frame rate drop issue took months to fix. Affect a lot of youtubers and streamers. Not sure if the devs addressed it before it was fixed but in my opinion it is not something that should take MONTHS to fix.
the only thing you missed that I really wanted in this game was the option to disable automantle it caused many annoying deaths in this game
Fair review. Agree with you for the most part. 8/10 for me, mostly due to that month when the connection got messed up. Two misc. fails (and it looks as though IW will not have them either) not mentioned. Not having Clan Wars and an app to go with it. This really shortened the playability of the game over a whole year. Was bored by June because of this. And it (the App) was good for emblem design and management as well. The other small fail, and I think this should be in every COD from here out, is not having a firing range. The greatest idea Sledgehammer had, and these other two studios should've included it.
Bo3 was my first ever shooter game. I had some pretty good times playing it, but most definitely agree about he supply drops, they were absolutely absurd. Alright here's my thoughts on the game. This is the first CoD that I've owned (I have played other ones but only at friends' houses). I can agree with most of the points Ace made in the video. Gameplay and movement system is great, the guns feel quite unique, and the maps were pretty good. But there a few negatives that affected me and a lot of my friends. First of all, I feel that the game was at its best in the earlier days. Imo the game started getting worse after DLC1 in a variety of ways. As someone who was garbage at the game in its earlier days, I feel the gun balance was better before than it is now. I can forgive the game for that and understand that the player base changed throughout the life cycle of the game and more people started using the more powerful weapons which is fine. Also it is unfair that season pass holders don't get all the weapons, the supply drop system was so disappointing and greedy on Activision's part, and it is pretty sad that there are more supply drop weapons than base game weapons now. I don't have great internet, but my connections were pretty good in the early months, but then a huge game breaker started happening for me after DLC2--I couldn't find any games but TDM. If my friend was party leader, we could instantly get into any gamemode. So when I want to play solo I can only play TDM, it sucks, not to mention connections have gotten worse, the game is pretty laggy now. Another bad thing is team balance. I lost count of the amount of screenshots I've taken of ridiculously unbalanced teams where our team would get tripled capped almost the entire game and have infinite respawn and die to RAPS or Wraith, but the same can be said vice versa, there were games where my team completely annihilated the enemy. Probably the most negative issue there. Most base game maps were good, DLC maps were 50-50, but the DLC map rotation is awful. I can say that at least 95% of games now are on base game maps, which is very disappointing and can be easily fixed by making a playlist with all the DLC maps rather than the newest. Also, let's not talk about playing Nuketown 30% of the time. The in game system of joining friends has always been broken from the beginning and only works 30% of the time. As of late, I haven't played the game as much because of all the listed problems. I feel like this game is one patch away from being really good like it was before, but sadly I don't think any of this will be fixed. I think before DLC1 the game was a 9/10 but now I'd give it a 6.5/10. To conclude, I would say that the game started off great but slowly rotted away, nonetheless it's still good. Idk if I'm gonna buy IW tbh although MWR looks great, so I'll see but to anyone who read let me know if you agree and have a nice day!
I overall share your opinions but I don't agree with few points you have made:
- Every DLC screwed matchmacking and in-game connection -mainly for DLC owners-; sure, they got fixed in few days/weeks (IIRC DLC3 was the worst, time-to-fix wise) but after the launch DLC, the game was barely playable for a week for a lot of people.
- After the nerf of the blackhat it just became useless: I loved the blackhat in BO2 (like half of my classes had it) but I couldn't stand the BO3 version; my main complaint here is why they didn't make it just like the previous one, instead of pushing on the steal-scorestreak -main- usage.
- I love the three lane map design and I'd say 90% of the released maps, but it would have been better to have few different maps (just a couple, to mix thing up from time to time).
Apart for those issues and the few you've mentioned, I found BO3 a really enjoyable experience, so I would give it a little bit less than your score: 8.5/10

The title update/DLC3 connection issues never went away for me. if anything, they got worse over time. stopped playing at that point, didn't even go back to see the fourth map pack. which is a shame, since the game really was a lot of fun.

One of the major issue with not finding DLC games IS the fact that DLC divides your players! Get ride of payed DLC. It brakes up the player base way to much. Make you money from selling crates and weapon packs but have the damn maps available to everyone.
I agree with pretty much all of your points, but have to say that the connections/frame drops/etc. after DLC3 just destroyed the (until that point) positive experience with BO3 for me. It took a lot longer than a week or two (for me) for things to start getting better so that - along with the supply drop only weapons - really put a damper on the game. I still played, but just didn't get as much enjoyment as I was earlier on. If it wasn't for those two points, I'd easily give the game an 8.5/10, but those 2 things drop it to a 6 for me
8/10, it was a great game but I hated the weapons in the supply drops, specialists and that I never knew if the Vesper was good or bad
Whats your thought on team balancing? Im not a fantastic player, but id say im for sure above average and it seems like it's always me against the other team. I usually get teamates that cant hold their own, and im against a team of great players. I love BO3 and honestly think its in the running for one of the best cods, but the team balancing never got changed. never got fixed. whats your idea on that?

WTF was the other team doing in that opening clip? I've seen Recruit bots with more awareness than that.
Weapons all felt samey, I didn't like how loud the hitmarker sound was in this game, it was obnoxious and ruined the feel of the guns.
And I hated the movement, it was way too much in the air. I think Infinite Warfare does it right and keeps it on the ground and only uses the advanced movement for specific purposes and even then it doesn't always save you.
Also the lag was terrible, didn't have an issue in other CoD games but this game was borderline unplayable at times, and it was never fixed.
This game was just so unenjoyable to me, it got really boring really fast. But I had a blast with the IW beta and like what they did with it for the most part.
The connection thing isn't the games problem. At times the servers were iffy, but overall once I got good connection I stopped lagging in bo3

the nx shadow claw was op. possibly very op. picked up a couple times and would get a lot of kills, til out of ammo. I have attachments unlocked for it and don't have the weapons.
I am almost always on a 4 bar with a good connection but throughout the game I haven't been able to join some people and towards the end I get random 3-5 second connection interruptions throughout my matches. Usually one to three times a game

overall I agree with your review in relation to the past COD's. my biggest complaint is and still is the latency issues. this is a visual acute response game. can't respond if I don't see the opponent until after they shoot me. also the unlocks take so many players out of playing the objective just so they can unlock a camo. bad enough so many players don't care to PTFO.
My top 3 Call of Duty games (in no particular order) are Black Ops 1, 2, and 3. Treyarc just knows how to make the best CoD games. Going back to boots on the ground is a bit tough, honestly. I've really enjoyed the BO3 movement system. It's exponentially better than AW. I agree with the 9/10. Anyway, love the vids!
I'm going to keep playing this, I still have to complete dark matter. I was too worried about my KD, but now I'm ready to finish up. Heck, I still play Ghosts and AW from time to time. LOL
Instead of rupture/outskirts they should have brought back dome from world at war that one had tanks in it and it had lots of services that could have been wall runned on.
The only issue I have with this game is team balancing, if this was fixed it would be 100% perfect for me. This COD is the closest to perfection than any other COD. Everything has been balanced very well; guns, perks, attachments, specialist abilities and weapons, scorestreaks, and there hasn't been anything like that in any other COD.
I have to disagree with one thing... disabling DLC is useless. I have the season pass, and never have problems getting into games. If anything I believe that the programming only takes DLC into account if convenient. One of my biggest problems was actually getting to play on DLC maps, as it seemed to be the exceptions, not the norm. All in all good video though
6/10 because the lag got really bad and they nerfed too much especially the kuda and man of war it was already a difficult weapon for me but i got use to it i played alot but after all the balancing it just didn't feel the same

I'm really disappointed that Safeguard isn't returning to IW. It was my most played gamemode and I know how to play it very well
Great Video. As much as I enjoyed Bo3, two things highly affected my opinion of the game.
1. Connection: I live in Finland. I promise you, i'm not exaggerating with this: Up until mid January, 80 percent of lobbies would skip and were laggy. Not small lag spikes, but constant spikes. Contacted support, they asked all 5 of us to restart our modems.. smh.
2. Arena mode: Unlike the connection issue, this one is more of an opinion. Arena mode was an sad disappointment. It was almost unplayable here in Finland upto march ( Took 10 mins to find a lobby) And when you find a game someone would leave.
But i enjoy my Cod and playing with friends.. So long as the servers are good here.
Nas I feel for you I live in London and finding arena matches were pretty quick like within 2 mins depending on the time competitive in black ops 3 has got me hooked on bo3 I can't deal with public match tryhards or shotgun noobs
6/10 it was fun, played the crap out if it for about 10 months but connection issues, frustrating time trying to connect with my friends 9 times outta 10 (unable to send game invites, parties breakup, unable to join parties )and the horrible straight up flinch that ended with the enemy killing me via headshot made me hate this game sooooooooo much at times.
