Well I’m having fun so far and I think this colab is gonna work out great for both of us. Norm called yesterday and he had some great news that has already happened for him because of the first video release just three days ago. He might have to add a few more splitters to that load🤣 It was Bobs idea to make this connection with Norm and I at Hoosier and I wanted to definitely point out the dealer network!! Yes it is Dick! Well the boxer is like I told someone else is just on vacation! It will get used again but I’m not sure I will enjoy it as much!😂 Yeah it had to be a scratch each others back situation for me to be comfortable borrowing this splitter! The only thing I could contribute was my reach on TH-cam to bring awareness to Norm and the dealer network! Well, I appreciate that Brandon. When I was approached with this idea from Bob Nelson, I sat on it for about 4 to 5 days. I’m not the borrowing kind. Evan actually was pushing me to give Norm a call and after I finally did, we hit it off and had a great visit. I was not going to do it unless it was going to help both of us. After the phone call I received yesterday from Norm, the power of social media is already paying off for him!! That was the spin I wanted to put on this collaboration was to make sure people were aware of the network of dealerships and it has already worked! Looks like you may need to double the side board height on the 4 wheeler trailer for the speed of that wolferidge. 😁 The dump trailer would be a better option, but respecting the neighbors property is a must, in my opinion. It is very nice that he allows you all to use it. I would love to demo that machine for the summer, I would get so much more firewood done! Nice job again, and keep up the good work. 👍
This machine has definitely sped up our production! It is so satisfying to run! Yeah if it wasn’t muddy I would use the dump trailer. I really don’t want to go much higher on the bike trailer sideboards. It will make loading rounds more of a chore.😂Thanks for watching Robert👊🏻
When i got my Wolfe Ridge splitter, I was surprised at how fast I am able to split and load the truck and trailer.
I know by myself I can do a half cord in about 1 hour. Depending in the size of rounds.
The oil cooler on any larger machine is a must. 😉👍
You’re not kidding Daniel. I figured that out in a real short amount of time! Stacking is happening way more frequently 😂

Yeah I’m am completely blown away by the support of the community that has given me this opportunity!! Vertical is definitely something to get used to but I believe it’s very handy for anyone making a lot of bundles even kindling! For a solo operation, using a commercial vertical log splitter is the way to go. Having complete control over the split size and minimal scrap are just 2 among many reasons why a commercial grade vertical splitter is a great option.

Congrats on the demo splitter. I'm a small operation by comparison to others. I really like the Wolfe Ridge 22 RS like Jeremiah has on Outdoors in the 608. I would want the log lift though at my age.

I'm not too far from Widman. I have been meaning to stop by and get a look at one of these machines in person. Based on what I see it is the perfect splitter for me. I'm not a large enough operation to justify $12k (but that machine is worth it)
Yeah we are in the same boat as well. Evans firewood buisness was started basically to earn him some money for vehicles etc.. and I thought it would teach him some work ethic. That it has done!! Firewood has to this point been a side hustle and a way for us to spend time together. As it has grown moving forward I will have to seriously think about upgrading to a more commercial splitter! Hi Todd and Evan. That VS-C is identical to mine, color and all. You’re going to love that machine. Heavy duty machine. I love mine, works great for Minnie wood too. Get your bucks dug out and just buy it before it’s gone. Can’t be many hours on it. Just do it.
Well it didn’t take long to realize this machine was awesome!! I started digging last night and I still haven’t found any bucks😂 Been a very financially draining year for us with having two kids graduating and going off to college at the same time! I never fail to wonder why people split their wood so damn small, twice that size is good for my use in a wood heater!
Well Mike you said it, “for your use”. That size is what works for heating for sure no questions asked!! But for making bundles for recreational burners they want it smaller. 98% of our customers actually comment on the fact that they love the size of the splits. I have started splitting some stuff a little bigger because we did pick up a couple customers that want to use us for their heating purposes. To each their own I guess. Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Todd, with a rig like that sitting around the yard you’re gonna have to upgrade your stacking trailer! I started with a smaller yard cart and an atv and now I’m pulling a 4x8x 26 inch deep trailer and it’s all my atv can do to pull it around with a full face cord of heavy oak or the like. Feels like I’m really abusing my equipment but affording a tractor does seem like it’s in the cards for a while. I just got my pro 28c so now I’m splitting for 10 minutes and stacking for an hour lol hopefully the atv can keep up for a few more years. Congrats man!
Well the ATV cart sure does fill up fast now😂 I do have the dump trailer but I can’t get it everywhere I need to stack that’s why the small size ATV trailer is so handy! No one like to stack and I’ve already realized having a commercial machine that I’m gonna be spending stacking more frequently 😂 Thanks for watching 👊🏻

Make a small batch of mini firewood with it. If it does well, I'll make the 165mi drive to Eau Claire to pick onr up.
Well I do have some differed ideas of use for it while I have it! Kindling was one for sure. If I get time I will try to make some mini with it! Maybe a short would be best for that! Thanks for watching 👊🏻

Great video and machine! What exactly is “bundle grade” firewood? I know what a bundle is but curious about bundle grade. Thanks.
Thanks! Well bundle grade to us are splits that are more straight grained usually cleaner pieces that are easy to slide into the bundler! We stack all of our bundle grade in totes. It usually stacks tighter and just makes uniform looking bundles🤷♂️ Thanks for watching 👊🏻
