Jamie,Andy, and Rich you are a credit to the world of angling, your comments are absolutely spot on, I was there and from a spectators point of view like Andy , I believe this has been the most competitive final I’ve ever had the privilege to watch, I walked the lake loads of times to see all the anglers, which was amazing with so many anglers doing different things , I believe it should be held at Westwood again and I agree with you having fished swallow lots of times this could be an even better match, lots of bigger fish in that lake, even a method feeder could be used in some swims. The thing that interested me the most was the amount of maggot and caster being used to pellet. Every angler was either fishing maggot or caster, pellet was not being used like it used to be , are the fish getting wise to the pellets .
Great vid. It was a great final / venue. I accept the ‘chaos’ point but surely more can done to minimise angler disruption. A good start would be improving the microphone / ear piece messing about… can’t they all have a set each which they have with them all the time & switch on when needed? PS: I’m not a techie !!
Was a brilliant ending. Mainly because Sky were caught with their pants down. For the final hour, last 30 minutes, they had three people miked up. But they were the three they deemed to be in contention. Had to laugh when someone who hadn't featured a great deal all day (meaning on camera) came through on the rails. Brilliant ending. Not 100% certain but some anglers didn't seem to feature much at all on camera.

It was the first fish-o I'd followed live all the way through, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've only seen youtube videos of previous ones and they just didn't have the buzz about them that this one did. I do wish that reliable live coverage was available elsewhere than Sky though.
I was there and I could not agree more. I saw Art loose two fish in the last half hour, which was not mentioned. The better use of technology and remote operated cameras, instead of people operated, on thebishand and between the pegs would solve the intrusion issue during the match.
hi guys,doing a great job all 3 of you, if there was 2000 people most of them must have been hiding behind bush's or in the beer tent as what i saw on sky on the eye in the sky shot;s looked empty, sorry not as good as in the past, and more fishing on British tv.
To qualify is an achievement itself ,at the beginning there was profiles of the anglers which included thier favourite method of fishing such as pellet wag / feeder ect ,no one favoured just plugging at f1s on your top four all day, however it was a good final, a venue where the anglers can showcase thier skills on different methods would be better though.
Westwoods was the best final iv seen in 25 years.. every year the winning pegs will be different .. Hayfield good but need to be one bank and near the island... I can't wait for next year already
Three venues and rotate, Hayfield to me is too peggy. Venues north, south and midlands, possibly The Oaks at Sesay, Cudmore (with more carp stocked), Todber Manor.🙃🙃🙃😋👍👍👍🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
Great shout mate I know they've had qualifiers there but phase 2 is never going to compete with phase 1 full stop but I think makins would definitely be the best final ever it's a great venue and you can catch some of them (great big wobbly things) which would sort the men from the boys but all in all a great day's fishing before I finish well done to all the finalists and thanks to rich Jamie and Andy for all your videos great stuff lads keep it up 👍👍👍👍
Having been to Both Hayfield and Hall croft they are both great venues. Personally I love Hayfield but I think it should be like the Golf open and Hayfield host it every 3/5 years and take it on the road the other years where anglers from all over the UK can get to it. Larford near me is having major development at the moment perhaps this one day may host it. Our sport is huge let's share it out around the UK I say. 🇬🇧
Didn’t like Westwood as a venue. Canalised lakes are to sterile for me . It was also to small for a good crowd. The microphone and earpiece thing needs to be scrapped. Personally I think it’s unfair when an anglers trying to win a match

I was sat behind Adam richards , it was brilliant to watch so close to him as well . Nick speed was his bank runner too . Fantastic .

Always gone but didnt bother as tickets had gone other venues just turn up loads of room but what I've seen on videos fishing looks ok
Swallow is in my opinion the best lake on the complex, some right lumps in there and a bigger stamp of F1’s

I preferred the other venue.. just because people seemed to use other methods more like waggler feeder ect.. but I still enjoyed this final
