Is so liberating to realize I am that awareness that can let go of thinking & appreciate life instead of trying to be happy by validating the ego.
Try doing that without drinking water for 2 days. The animal within will devour that "awareness" like it's nothing, which it is. Try that when you break your leg or when someone you love passes away. There's only ego in your comment.

They need to teach these things in school! It would enhance mankind in ways we couldn’t even imagine. There’d be less ego, less miserable people with their maddening thoughts, and of course more simplicity and the absence of all the “heaviness” that we carry around and pass on from one generation to the next……

Look at your Unconsciousness through your Consciousness Awareness.
You can't! As soon as you're conscious aware and totally present, the unconsciousness is absent and nowhere to be found. It's gone at the light switch of becoming aware. Same with thoughts; you'll never 'catch' one when totally aware since thoughts only show up in the unconsciousness realm. Like a thief in the night it steals your attention only when you're not fully aware. Try with full attention to see when or if a thought will come up c.q. arise. They keep hiding and won't come as long as your attention is consciously focussed. Thoughts are attention stealers in order to stay alive like mosquitoes need blood.

In 1987, I was 21 and it was exactly when my spiritual awakening happened. 🥰 With the Harmonic Convergence.
The problem I am having is, I'm trying to avoid certain thought constructs but I'm happy to embrace others, like this talk by Eckart Tolle. So basically what I'm doing is, I'm embracing a construct I'm most comfortable with. And whenever I feel I have progressed in being more awake and conscious, I realise that I have already created a thought concept of my progress and therefore didn't make any progress at all. :D

Thanks for sharing about the car, have a family member who feels ashamed of been seen in the car I drive, was trying to pull out of a tight spot this evening, was half way out when a another car flew behind it , the family member said if you had a better car they'd stop and wait and let you go🙂
Is it true that because I drive a car that is how it is, that I'm not living in spiritual substance. Know this is a question from the mind and even more so by some degree of maybe a belief or and "Spiritual ego" ...maybe. What is matter is matter... so why does it matter. I am not the clothes I wear,I am not the car I drive or anything else not even these thoughts.That's all that matters.

@@nupurkanungo6620 basically it's the 4th state of consciousness, or pure consciousness. The 3 common states are waking, dreaming and dreamless deep sleep. The 4th or "turiya" is the underlying "BACKGROUND" that pervades the 3 common states. This background is that from which all identities emerge. You could Google it for a better understanding if you want.
@@rintrah40 This is all experiential..u did not understand what I wrote.. Human being in an awakened state of being means.. That after the awakening happens in a human being.. They are in a dimension where they r experiencing themselves.. In both states... So what u experience after awakening is.. A human being in physical form experiencing the consciousness flowing through him or her in an Awakened State...what u experience after awakening will itself guide u to understand that...I went through a process of awakening.. & what I am writing is what I am experiencing.. My experience is.. If u want to reach the awakened state then don't focus on the theoretical ideas of Consciousness.. Focus on the desires and the process which leads to awakening but without focussing on this thought that I have to get awakened with a sense of desperation or neediness.. This is how it happened for me...Or 1 more way could be.. A positive expectation.. That since all human beings r meant to experience this I will also experience this.. But without feeling desperate about it... About the 2nd way.. I feel.. Right now.. Eckhart can guide u better 😊😇🙏

I remember just "wanting" to be free. I had no idea about awakening or any of that. It was when I realized that the "want" of freedom was shadowing the fact that I was already free. Oh man, a shift occurred that changed everything I thought I knew, lol.
A nice little vignette that I am going to listen to many times to let it sink in and because I have poor concentration.
Eckhart Is the Greatest teacher ever , he is so down to earth he always grounds me ,with everything that he says and the way he explains everything always leads to being more conscious I never tire from his teachings , he is there for us all to get us on the right path when we slip into our old ways

I am " a consciousness" like an ocean, and my body is like a fish swimming in it. Water is all around me, the medium through which I pass. The water flows in the gills of the fish, all the gills of my fish go through... and the ocean is one. I experienced and felt what I went through from a different perspective. As evidence to erase all memories in our bodies, leave only the consciousness, then connect our consciousness, and feel who we are??.

We love narrative. Human beings construct narratives to inspire us to survive and live. It's very important. Personal narratives are very important to the individual. They give a deep meaning to the individual's existence. However, there are serious negatives to narratives and Eckhart Tolle explains it well.
There are two "identities" in me after I have had a sudden enlightenment - the real me, a consciousness who realizes itself, who identified itself as an omnipresent, eternal consciousness, who cannot die because it was never born and cannot be born as it has always existed as a collective consciousness and I am just experiencing a human life and the other me - a human form of me, ego and persona called Natalie, a role that I play in society.

I betrayed my love because I allowed my thoughts to shape my actions and reality; I allowed my lower-self to win. It's all so clear now. And yet, how can I ever explain this? How can I expect her to believe what Eckhart is saying, even though it's the truth?
But how does one become content? No thought still doesn't mean that there is no external identity... How does one know which identity is created by the self? Can it be that we break one form of ego to move into another one? Is the consciousness also a voice? Is it intrusive thoughts?

Also whole human evolution is because of memory’s of past and predictive power of future. We just have balance it. Most importantly Everything is Past, we only see it for the first time consciously and call it present NOW!! We are just Conscious time machine passing through past present and future continuously.
